Whites aren't as easy offended ....We Natives some tribes support this teams strongly ...Seminoles supports the College Florida State Seminoles...The Braves baseball team supported by the Eastern band Cherokee...The Chiefs are supported by a local tribe in there area.. And I myself support all teams ...I see it as pride and honor not a racial thing to be hated or feel like it's picking on me..I love to see my people on anything and not erased from view...I was a hardcore Washington Redskins fan I picked the team as a kid because it made me proud and it was a honor.And when they changed there name I change my team and support for the organization ...I hope they never win anything worth while again...
I totally support Native American signs and symbols with sports teams..And it's not a negative at all it makes me proud not ashamed of it ...Reasons why i support Native American Guardians Association ...Educate Not eradicate ....I will never support a erasing of our signs and symbols ...We should never be unseen by media...

Also there are many different tribes that certain images don't even represent only that it is Native American related...I know when I was a kid there wasn't much positive about Native people the Washington Redskins spoke to me in pride and honor...I love seeing my people or seeing Native representation on something..I'm not ashamed or hating that somebody was using it...And having A Native team I think sparks interest in our people..We are still here....Also I want to add that many that want take it away DONT want others using our signs and symbols...They want to keep it for ourselves..Because all this symbols and same signs are used on the reservations across the nation.And I DONT call this symbols mascots there aren't mascots I also want add after Washington changed there name against many fans and many Native fans I no longer a fan of Washington..SO they lost some fan support when they went politically correct. Maybe I’m out of touch cuz I work too much, but I like my Blackhawks stocking hat, and the team for wearing it. ‘Course I think ‘hawk chops are dumber than a box of rocks, too. And see local schools that call themselves ’Chiefs’ and ‘Thunderbirds’ do a good job of portraying it, with input from the Ho Chunk tribe, whose land this is. But I don’t like KC chief fans making a mockery of our Osage soldiers either, as our buffalo trail made the blueprint for highways and freeways there. My thoughts: schools getting federal or state funds should have to offer to change their logos to something non racial yo the local tribe(s).
