Bring back puffy protection shoes like audio and globe from the early 00s. I've never bought these girl slippers all you skate board posers wear. Don't you want protection on your feet? Skate shoes like laki are straight socks. They won't protect you at all...

This may be just me, but my favorite shoes have always been black and lime green. With my most recent pair of Lakais, I went out of my way to get some lime green laces just so they felt right. If you could have lime green accents as an option, I would buy exclusively this shoe for skating. No exaggeration.

I miss Vision Street Wear products , that’s what I use to run back when I rode bmx for a 7 short years . I know , I know you can still find their products everywhere on line but their shoes as you get older are not comfortable as they were back when I was younger . It’s like walking on their concrete just hurts your feet .

I would def buy those! One of my fave shoes was the slip on tnt 3 vans and they were the best. Slip ons with padding but still have great bored feel

oooh those look nice, I love the loafer/pennyloafer look with a minimalist aesthetic. I'd definitely just wear them normally too.
What I think would really be cool, for a Braille skateboarding slip-on shoe, would be to produce them in a variety of colors matching the same basic colors as your skateboard decks.

i used to watch way back when gabe used to be in front of the camera when i was deep into skating when i got my first pro board but then lost track and got older but now if been watching again for a while and gonna get a new deck to get back into it bc i outgrew my last board but thanks to u guys i’m back skating and feeling peace
Got mine pre-ordered! I've wanted a pair of Braille shoes for a while but I skate mostly slip ons and highs. I jumped on and snagged a pair as soon as I finished the video. They look amazing! Next shoe you guys need to make is definitely a high top. I'd snag that too!

The emerica wino is the ideal skate shoe. I highly recommend everyone try a pair. Laces or slip on they are style and quality in one. The janoski was perfect but nothing gold can stay. These feel like simpler versions of the wino.

I have really loved the feel and grip of the 3 pairs I have bought from you. I do have two points for improvement: The Midnight Black and my Black and Gum pairs both tore at the same seam along the side and I had to stitch them back up. My other point is all three pairs especially my pair of Red with White bled ink like crazy on my socks and ankle skin. I really want to try out those Red Lodge ones soon because it looks like you improved some of these points with that run. Love what y'all do ✌🏻❤️🛹
Yes the Red Lodge shoes we took alllll the feedback and I think those issues are resolved. For sure no sock bleed!

I been using Vans pro model slip ons for 6 years. I think I commented a while back on one of your shoe videos saying if you come out with a slip on I might try them . But I don’t think I would ever stop using vans pro model slip ons.

My 10 year old son has those Nikes and they're worn out needing replacing. I think a slip on would be an excellent idea as he's always super picky with his laces leading to delays and melt downs on our way out 😅. Looking forward to buying these.

I think it would make business sense to sell them, but I personally would only buy them as normal shoes. I don’t like skating in slip ons because they get loose too fast. Additionally i’d like to say i bought the original preorder braille shoes and even have a review on my channel. The gum is what wore through before anything else, so if anything can be done to reinforce that, awesome!
These are a totally different sole than those originals, we did listen to the feedback on it! You should try the Red Lodge shoe as that sole is the one on here as well.
Aarons super ridiculous slo-mo sessions are my favorite!!! So much steeze. I just got a bargain bin shoe there on the way right now I'm stoked but man I want these flip-ons so bad they are soooo fresh!!!!

That right there is an advantage of slip ons!
so kinda boot nerd, you're super right about suede. it comes from the fibery "splits" of the leather. but if you want hella grip theres Roughout. which is a full grain chunk of leather but in reverse, so the slippry side is inside and that suede like side is outside, its like 2X+ durable suede.

You should put the braille dots all along the side of the shoes going right above the soles. So it would just be bunch of braille dots above the white sole but, do em small and make it read braille skate boarding .

Here is my 2 cents on the slip-ons.. Absolutely would be my #1 choice for learning things like impossibles. Just because there is no chance of TOTALLY ruining laces. I meen you try 3 impossibles, and the whole top of a shoe is destroyed. You gotta try to get that full wrap, and it just eats the laces. I'd love to try a pair out sometime. They look fire 🔥

How bout a lace up with a lace protector strap? Those look much nicer than I thought. Not the biggest slipp on fan but these might help. Bought my first pair braille shoe a week ago and I love them.

i highly suggest looking at brandon westgates old emerica pro model shoes, just for that shallow cut that they put in the sole. not the shape. the cut makes the shoes feel broken in out of the box and don't threaten the longevity of the shoe. these already look amazing and i will totally look to cop a pair when i get my next deck. mutually beneficial support is my favorite kind. keep living it up braille.

You talking about the rubber on the sole, and finding the balance between wear and grip, has me interested. I've been considering trying a slip on but the only ones I really like the fit on are Vans and those soles wear way too fast for me. The price difference is negligible, 120 CAD is pretty normal for any decent shoe. I think I'd be willing to try these based on what I've seen so far. Currently I'm using Etnies Maranas, any comment on how the soles on your shoes wear in comparison?

Sounds like you are talking about car tires and grippyness with soft and hard bottomed shoes are compare to normal and racing tires etc

Yo so Braille one of the reasons I left Skateboarding as something I loved when I was a kid but cant do anymore is my feet got very large... I still love skate shoes style and comfort but often cant get them in my size would braille offer size 18 US mens?

I love my second edition Braille shoes, they remind me of early 2000’s shoes (when I started skating). My only beef with them, is that the Braille logo is on them like 50x; I’m exaggerating, it’s 7x which is still a lot for a small article of clothing, mind you one is on the insole, and you can’t see, but still. You could just do with the tongue, the out sole, and insole.

I want to talk about the braille app for a second. I wonder if anyone else has this thought. Maybe we could see a video or a poll of some kind but I feel like in the braille app the turn by leaning, and the front side and back side kick turn should be switched in the tricks section when updating your rank. I feel like it would be easier to learn those after getting comfortable turning by leaning which I already do unatrually while getting my balance together and also doing the crab walk and the TicTac, maybe that is just me. Also, I would love to see an update on the app. A lot of the tutorial videos will crash the whole app on my iPhone and iPad when I am trying to add that skill as my rank if that makes sense. Love you guys!

I have two pairs of the original First Tries - with an autographed sheet. Love them, but the laces fray way to quick. So the slip-ons sound very attractive. The break-in period is quick.
PS: I should have gotten two autographed sheets for the two pairs of shoes I purchased. But only got one autograph sheet. I figure this happened, because Gabe was not in charge of the packaging. :)
