Finally, I wait for it for a long time. I am a Chinese student and learned Bulgarian in Sofia university as an exchange student. The experience there, not an exaggeration, totally changed my attitude toward the life. Before I came to Bulgaria, I have great worries about the future, thinking that study and work are the most important. But Bulgaria taught me that the inner peace also matters, no matter what you have, accpet yourself first. Even I live a busy life now, I always keep in mind the life is good, when I am tired, I can find some place to have a break. Много ми липсва животът в България, и хубав ден за всички.
Yes man come chill always welcomed
As a bulgarian i can assure you, you will find "inner peace" in Bulgaria.... but not in a positive way. lmao
I want to know how the Chinese live so long And what food healthy eating .. But no one's answering me. xD
Много мило! Бъди Здрав и Успех в Живота!
@nngu Itae, Please open a tea house and sell Dim sum. I'm from England but i cannot find good Chinese food here in Bulgaria. When the Bulgarians smell the fresh tea and bamboo aroma mixing with your wonderful food, they will come for sure. I think the Bulgarian culture is a perfect match for this style of fast, healthy and social way of eating and drinking.

Gross. I had a bulgarian manager and he was the worst (so angry and entitled - very racist as well). From my interactions with the few bulgarians I know this is how they are. I'd avoid such awful people.
I am just so happy to watch this episode about Bulgaria, it makes me feel so nostalgic for this old and beautiful country.
I studied here for Erasmus, and I can write a signature on every word what interviewed people told about why they love Bulgaria. I felt so well in this country, bulgarian people are so warm, so hospitable, you will never feel alone or bored, especially if you are curious and open minded for exploring bulgarian culture and everything, what is related with this country. Experience of studying and living in Bulgaria inprinted in my memory for my entire life, and even it shaped my direction and object of my academical researching object. I am so grateful for this country for what it gave to me in shaping of my personality and life.
I miss this beautiful country with beautiful, intelligent, warm people and can’t wait to come here again!

My heart aches. I am Bulgarian and have lived in the States for almost 20 years. I am beyond exhausted from this harsh world of school, work, home, and bills. Have developed terrible anxiety constantly thinking about the future and my career. I cried when one of the women spoke about life in the US and how fake it is. It really, really is fake! I cannot wait until I find inner peace and my family and I move back home to my country, my friends, my family, my food, my air, my tomatoes. My heart aches so badly.

@@Holzkissen. Yes, but not just that. The lexical composition of modern Bulgarian is indeed much closer to Russian, than, for example, the lexical composition of other South Slavic languages (Bulgarian is one of the South Slavic languages). I have watched many Easy Languages' videos to learn English and Russian and I was wondering whether there would be a Bulgarian version of the videos. So there it is. I'm so happy to see that you are adding my mother tongue, the father of the Slavic languages to the family of Easy Languages. Thank you!
I very much hope this channel continues. I have found that Bulgaria has one of the richest cultures--a lively mix of East, West, modern, and ancient. I regularly explore UA-cam to find out about traditions (e.g., Kukeri), music (especially choral or instrumental folk music). The language seems much simpler to learn than Russian, plus I've seen Russians and Bulgarians can communicate well if they listen to each other carefully; so, maybe learn Bulgarian first and then you can have easy access to the other Slavic languages.
I’m not sure which one is easier, some parts of Bulgarian are harder and some easier! Bulgarian has a lot of tenses whereas Russian does not! But Bulgarian has almost no cases so Bulgarian is easier in that regard.
Bulgarian would indeed be somewhat easier for English-speakers, as modern Bulgarian is grammatically an analytic language (like English itself), whereas all other Slavic languages are synthetic (and so was Old Bulgarian). Thus, modern Bulgarian can act as somewhat of a gateway for English-speakers to the world of the Slavic languages. But I agree - Bulgarian isn't necessarily easier. We've lost most of our cases, but our verbs' tenses can be rather challenging (as well as the gendered nouns - one of my biggest nightmares when I studied German).
By the way, in regards to our folk music, I find its various "modernization" projects quite interesting, even when it's mixed with styles I normally don't listen to. For example, the Kanatitsa album of "Ivan Shopov & Avigeya" made me really enjoy this type of ethereal electronic music, while the ethnic style of groups like Isihia, Kayno Yesno Slonce, Lot Lorien, Oratnitsa etc. has always been right up my alley.
Bulgarian and Russians can understand each other if they speak incredibly slowly and with simple words. Any detailed subject though will for sure not be understandable. Even some simple words that are the same, mean completely different things, which can and has caused some hilarious situations
I’m Russian. To be honest I understand only 5% of what they’re saying...
@@MoonSun-vk1mh Russians understand Bulgarian to a way lesser degree than Bulgarians understand Russian.
I think the reason for that is because Old Church Slavonic(medieval Bulgarian) came from here

Много благодаря. Аз уча немски с Easy German и испански с Easy Spanish. Сега ще уча Български с вас.
I just moved here in sofia! so happy about that!!!!
Nice, but why here?
Я из Москвы. В моем паспорте отметки о посещении 33 стран мира. Лето провожу в Поморие. Болгария - золотая страна. На планете Земля не много осталось мест, где есть чистый воздух, чистая вода, качественная еда. Я уж не говорю о людях - очень доброжелательных, трудолюбивых, отзывчивых. Я думаю о том, что хочу жить в этой стране всегда.
Very cool! Looking forward to more episodes

❤️ I am so happy to be half Bulgarian. Thank you for the Video hopefully there will be more soon.
I am Czech currently on a vacation in Nessebar and comparing spoken Bulgarian here with the one in Sofia from the video is a real difference! It sounds to me like Greek so much. Also, I can understand it just so little. When I have read the signs here slowly, it always has seemed to me very intelligible but now I am very confused:D ..BTW, Bulgaria has got some very beautiful nature indeed!
The Eastern dialect is softer compared to the Western one, which is similar to Serbo-Croat-Bosnian for instance hence more understood by them as well or the Macedonians in particular. By Western dialect I mean all what begins with Pleven, Vidin, Vratsa down to Blagoevgrad. However, in Plovdiv they also have a different dialect but not similar to the one in Burgas. A good example in this video is the Varna dialect compared to the Sofia one, where we hear this softer Varna typical accent. e.g. they say "godzhina" i.e. godina = year where in the Western accent it is godina or another example is "studentchi" - students vs "studenti".
@@kosmicheskiprah eastern is unintelligible, sounds like French to me
@@mitri5389 Lol, really? Can I ask what is your first or native language?
Lol Greek. I think the Eastern Bulgarian dialect has similar sounding like Polish because it has "tch" sound. "Studentchi" students.
I am from Western Bulgaria and for me the eastern Bulgarian dialec sounds too soft and a little funny.
For exaple we say "pet"for 5 and in Eastern Bulgaria they say " pyet". They dont have just hard "e" sound and pronounce "ye" . And when the e is not stressed they pronounce "i". For example city of Ruse is pronounced by them "Rusi". :)))).
Браво холандецо, добра работа, много интересни мнения си събрал.
I speak Croatian and I understand Bulgarian well
Ahh, as an Easy Languages Bulgarian fan, this makes me so happy!
Много се радвам че сега има Easy Bulgarian!
I love Bulgaria. My pain and joy and hope. Forever love!

Wowww this series comes just in the right time as I am studying Bulgarian now for a few months, so this will be really useful! By the way my name is also Tim and I am also from The Netherlands...what a coincidence!😀
Absolutly true. Two years in the USA and West Carribian . Bulgaria is the best place for living. 🌹❤️🌹
О Боже.. Беше мъка мъка... Да си някъде където си като посаден...
Сънувах печени чушки, домати и сирене.. Да тичаш като луд нагоре надолу не е живот.
Парите нямат значение.
Когато една салата не може да си направиш като хората .. Пластмасови зеленчуци и пластмасови хора.. Изкуствени и адски комплексирани. Депресията е второто им име.
Боже колко е хубаво в България...
I was greatly looking forward to see easyBulgarian one day here🤩

FINALLYYYY
Пътувах в България преди около 40 години и
няма да я забравя. Хубава страна, гостоприемни хора, прекрасен език.
No, their language is probably the most rough, harsh and ugly sounding language in Europe. It sounds very monotonous and brutal to listen to. Sorry to Bulgarians but their language is just too much for someone's ears. The other European languages sound softer than Bulgarian. Also , every Bulgarian person speaks and sounds like as if he/she is angry. Gross and disgusting people and language
I'm so happy there's finally an easy Bulgarian course!
I’ve waited for such a long time for Easy Bulgarian 😍😍😍😍
Wow Easy Bulgarian! Welcome to the family!
I'm happy to realize Bulgarian are friendly people I thought they were a little colder as most European seem to be (from an Argentinian point of view I'm talking, we basically don't know the concept of personal space for how much friendly we are 😅 no offense intended) and omg I LOVE the sound of the language my ears are pleased~
We, people from the Balkans, are very similar to the Latin Americans. In every sense! 😃
@@MrHriskoch 😯 I didn't know. That just woke my curiosity 🤩
Balkan people make great friends with Latin Americans.

I want to move to Bulgaria when I get older. Time to learn the Bulgarian language.
Loved this video! I recently moved to BG after growing up and living my whole life in the US and UK. Do i regret coming here?? absolutely not. Of course there are issues as with every country and the current political situation is a mess, but that aside, I truly is an amzing fruitful country, with amazing nature, cuisine, history, culture and people. I look forward to seeing BG grow and prosper as it has uncapped potential and is definately one of the EU's best kept secrets
It is a pity that Bulgaria is so little known. I often come here and I have always found myself well. I like people very much, they are kind and well-behaved. I do not go to the sea but I know the mountains and Sofia, a beautiful city livable. But as a guest, I don’t feel like talking about it.
И Аз доста години бях в Чужбина.Слушам какво им е липсвало в Чужбина на тези прекрасни Българи и си мисля че просто НИЕ ЛИПСВАЛА РОДИНАТА!
Don't say "Haide da otidem" , because that doesn't mean "Let's begin", but only "Let's go [somewhere]" in it's literal sense. Don't be surprised if someone replies you "Where?" :D
Можеше просто да каже “haide”

But thank you once again!
I have been in 30+ countries, from Asia, Europe to North America, Central America, and South America. I can tell Bulgarian food is great, and people are wonderful.

Great video! I'm Bulgarian and I've lived in the US and South Korea but I keep coming back to Bulgaria(now with my family). I do think the country has many problems (the system sucks basically) but I do feel more free here in terms of socializing and making my own choices. If people became a bit less spiteful, this place would be amazing! I'm planning to interview South Koreans who live in Bulgaria for my channel :)
More episodes about Bulgaria please 😍😍😍
Как интересно звучит болгарский! Очень похоже на русский.
На оборот. Русский похож на балгарский
да, потому что болгария - родина кириллицы и славянской письменности. Болгария - первая страна в мире, использующая кириллический алфавит. Болгария распространила кириллицу по всему миру. Без Болгарии никто бы не писал на кириллице
@@dragozhekovdragov8377 Гениален коментар. А български прилича на македонски, а македонски на украински

that's quite interesting, that Bulgarian still has both perfect and imperfect (aorist) verb tenses as it was in Old Russian hundreds years ago
and it even has definitive articles
Yes, and we only have remnants of cases, we generally prefer nominative (or sometimes accusative for a more formal situation) case with definite/indefinite articles, very rarely dative case, although it still exists but sounds more archaic. We substitute those with prepositions. Dative can be accusative with a preposition or even nominative with a preposition.
Some northern Russian dialects makes use of -to particles after nouns and adjectives. Like in standard Russian you would say "а дверь-то закрыта", but in the northern dialects they're used more consequently and frequently, and unlike Bulgarian they're also declined by case. But whether the -to particle can be viewed as post-positive article is debated.
I am wondering if the old Russian as off hundreds of years ago was influenced buy the Bulgarian Bible or later on during the time of Ekaterina the Great when Old Bulgarian was used as a base to formalize the official Russian language or do you mean the Russian prior to the Bulgarian influence?
@@boyanpanajotov6209 I'm not a professional linguist. Do you think that this verb-tense system was "imported" into Russian from Old Bulgarian? I don't know, but if it was true than there should have been some other tense system prior to such an "import". I would rather assume that this system was more or less universal across different Indo-European languages. And that Russian has deviated from this system later.
@@boyanpanajotov6209 Not influence d. Russian is based on Old Bulgarian
This is AWESOME!!!
