Hi (SIR) Alex, no idea if you will catch my words, anyway. Im french living( working more than really living😭) in uk since 9 months. I shouldn't say it but, I wish you to be the first one crossing finish line for the next edition, in fact i feel like you have already won the Vendee Globe, the last one , what you have done, til the last hours of the race is unbelievable. You were the perfect example of the man never givin' up. And, you are a true inspiration for me, especially in tough moment. Bless you. Such of race like the last edition there must be room for 2 on the top of the podium! But every one knowing a bit about sea, competing, endurance, determination is probably feeling the same as I do, there was not only one winner but 2. Now I can't wait to see you enjoying your new 60" rocket and fighting the way you ever did.
May the wind be with you!!
THE BOSS. This Man is a f*cking Legend. He will come back stronger in 2024!
Great Video Alex! We will follow you in 2020!!!
alex your legacy is that you have inspired a lot of people around the world in your relentlessness and humble acts and words, you are among the few
Step 1, keep the keel attached to the boat!
Go Alex! Awesome insight.
Alex Thomson Is THE Boss! Great sailor and amazing guy.
This is fantastic life advice.
Go Alex! We are cheering for you
Great video, he's well spoken and very honest, really well done.
There's an I Ching hexagram that says something very similar to what he said about becoming complacent when things are going well. His speech contains a lot of very simply worded condensed wisdom.
Appreciate the kind words Mike.
I Hope U Do It... You Know U can... Stay Intact and Fly....Safe and Sound.....
I do not believe there was ever in the history of sport a more honorable, more intense second place finish than Alex Thomson's Vendée Globe 2016. Some people even mentioned that, if his foil hadn't broken as it did that his victory would have been humiliating to the rest of the field because he would have won by a huge margin. Which brings me to November 8 2020, and the real possibility he pulls off this victory meant for the previous event. What an exciting race it will be.
Second place is the first loser
Good luck. I really want you to win this time. You deserve to.
Good luck Alex!
I don't think I have ever in my 60 years wished for someone to win a sports event as I do wish for Alex Thomson to win this year's Vendée Globe. In 2016, I believe, hos second place finish was the greatest, and most heroic 'defeat' in sport's history.
Alex you are exceptional, op I coming from Bretagne I signing you will win the Vendée globe 2020. Gut look Axel
So incredibly inspiring! A legend. Thank you for sharing this.
I came here for sailing and leaving thinking I need a sports psychologist. 😂
It's your turn Alex !
That's 5 star. Cool.
Two huge brass balls!
Win 2020😇🌌🏆🏆
Thank you Diane.
Maybe the first non french sailor to win the Vendée Globe.
The non-stop part does nothing for me. Stopping and seeing the world and people and critters of our world is more appealing to me
Good luck Alex. Don't hit anything this time!
Les gens de ste marie du port répondez
Thomson could win a regatta once (he is not olympic, he has never won any single-handed regatta in 20 years, he is the only one with 5 attempts at VG and he does not participate in any regatta outside VG either) and then perhaps preach all this much about what it takes to do a VG ... many have won VG regattas (Desjoyeaux twice) and are a lot less flamboyant than him. Far more interesting people out-there to get inspiration from. Real people.
no first thing u need is MONEY not stamina.
He’s not a winner
This guy is all show and no go
Shed the flash and games and win something then I will consider listening
