You said it. I exactly feel the same way. He is so charming in this video. I really feel like keep watching him instead of that coffee machine. He is so lovely person.
I am soooooo happy that Gwilym Davies is making more videos with you guys, please do more features of him! And please tell him he needs his own channel too 💕
My local cafe just installed one of these! Such a beautiful machine and it instantly has become a real focal point of the bar. Good review with such positive feedback!!
you should do a review on Flair neo (with the bottomless Porter filter), cafflano krinder, and the nano foamer all in one video to make a late, using those 3 devices, they are all kickstarter devices that are much lower Priced then the competition so it would be interesting to see how good of an espresso drink you can make for the money vs other machines.
Very very useful review for professional baristas and cafes. Express the key points, especially with black eagle comparison. Sorry, a bit out of topic that I use LM Linea machine; may be I’m wrong : I feel LM machines are more solid like a tank, VA machines are a little bit fragile 🤔🤔. Thank you
@@jixiang0502 I am not sure, I have tried but do not have an opinion yet and I do not understand it enough to comment yet. I am ok with the gradual pressure increase when the pre infusion is off but I am a big big fan of proper pre infusion (fully wet puck before pressure applied). I will play more with the pre infusion and maybe we do a video in the future
I would be interested to see on your channel either by you or Gwilym different brewing techniques on V60 & Clever Drip which can affect the taste, flavor profile or even brewing experience?
I'm tempted by a two X 1 group set up too. I run a cafe in an area of natural beauty and on a busy day have continuous queue's for hours on end with my 2 group GB5. On a rainy day I might only serve 60 customers. Running from a generator the ability to only run 1 group on quiet days is appealing. Has anyone else tried this set up?
I highly recommend the "Ascaso Steel Uno PID" even tho it's quite over your budget. It will get you all the features you need. But if you're really bound to your budget you should check out "Lelit". I also recommend to always look for machines with built in PID, because it will get you the most stable temperatures and a lower power consumption. If you have any further questions just ask, im glad to help.
Been using one for two months. Had the motherboard replaced twice, leaks water from underneath, the buttons and steam actuators are hard to push/don’t activate when pushed and it loses steam pressure if you use the hot water. It’s not fun to work on. It does have some good points (e.g. cleaning cycle) but overall not a fan.
Same experience here. The button that activates the steam wand is a nightmare and you can easily end up over stretching your milk. Water leakage is a real issue too. The black eagle is so much more user friendly.
That’s the thing, he wasn’t selling the machine. I believe that’s what people want, real personal review, not just marketing claims. At least that’s what we tried in this video.
There was so much charm in the way he was talking, I felt like the video should go on and on and on!

I can feel how much he loves what he does and what he is talking about when I watch his videos.
Great video guys! Gwilym is such a gentleman. It's so interesting to hear real pros like him give honest opinions on these high-end machines.
So good to see Gwilym Davies back on this channel, such a legend! 😎
Thank you for another great video review. 👍🏻

Looking forward to our Eagle One which is on order and nearly as the one shown here! Cannot wait to finally have/use it in our new coffee shop!
Honestly, we need more video about espresso machine review like this🙏
Great work, the design and energy efficiency are on TOP level in this machine! And Gwilym is such a nice guy! :)
one of the most attractive looking setups ive ever seen. cup selection is excellent as well. what a treat
I love gwilym! Ales, more gwilym in subsequent videos please :)
We will try!
This is a very insightful review. There are many points I wasn't even considering. Nice.
Great video fun and informative, beautiful espresso machine, thank you
Easy to use and clean. Coffee tastes great. Love it!
one thing i really like about Gwilym is that he cuts through the BS and he is quite frank in his words
Yeah, that’s why we like to make videos with him ☕️🙌
Thank you for your review. Look honest too. Plan to upgrade My Nouva Simonelli Appia to this Cute Eagle One in the next months
Should've got James for an interview 😭😊
Edit: I meant: on top of that amazing interview you already got!
Definitely the best machine I've worked on
Good to hear Matthew! (and see you soon in Prague)
@@EuropeanCoffeeTrip Mathew :-) glad you had good experience with it, it is now my 'go to' machine at the training centre
Been waiting on more reviews of this machine looks very promising. Just wish there was a way for shops who are interested to check it out in person
yes, difficult times :-( It was difficult even to create this video during the endless lockdown
4:50 Another drip tray available? I have the Eagle One and I cannot find this other drip tray online anywhere. Can you link it please?

Nice review. Thanks!
why do you need a scale if the machine is pre-programmed?

Any update on this machine? Realizability. We are concerned about quality.
Can you plz help me out for calibration of VA358 white eagle. If you can plz do make a more brief video of calibration for VA358 white eagle machine.
Love the pendant lights!
Loved the review.
Thank you, I wish I had mentioned the pre-infusion function
Beautiful machine
It really is nice, I like the the old espresso machines and this reminds me of them yet has the advantages of modern technology
Damn son.. A steam wand without the turn knob. I'm shocked we haven't seen this a long time ago...
just wondering how the pre-infusion function is in this machine
Perhaps Gwilym can comment here - when we were filming, he did test this function enough to have a solid opinion for a review.
@@EuropeanCoffeeTrip that's awesome, will be really happy to hear from his opinions about its pre-infustion.appreciate that

We are working on something like that for pour-over/V60. You can expect it in a few weeks!

How can I buy this machine?
What diameter tamp head are you using with the puqpress? 58mm or 58.3mm?
I'd be curious to see comparison of the home flagships - VA Eagle One Prima vs. LM GS3 AV
yes, that would be great.
How does this compare with the La Spaziale S40
Han you make a rewiew of the best enten level espressomachine around 750 euro

Hohohoooo niceeeee
What grinder is that?
It’s Mythos grinder, also from Victoria Arduino.

Show us the Eagle One Prima!
We will try soon!
It's ridiculous they removed the scales. That was so key for me
Gwilym can make “this is stainless steel” sound sexy
I have no idea how to reply to this
@@espresMod do us a VA Eagle One ASMR with a lot of that “stainless steel”

This guy can be talking about his evil plan of world destruction and i will still listen attentively.
Me too - and I will never, never be a professional barista nor an obsessive home barista.
Prima giveaway, when? 😅
That would be nice, right? 🥰
The Prima is even prettier and cuter imo.
I think I agree with you!
Lol how many times is he gonna say it's pretty
I never noticed! thank you, I used to say marvellous too much and stopped myself now pretty is my task
I think I'll sell my car.
This machine is unreliable and suffers multiple breakdowns in a busy coffee bar.
Sorry, but can we agree is the worst seller or representative you can imagine for your brand ? He pushed me away from the machine...

Whaat, no he doesn't, Gwilym is super charming barista champion aaand gentleman!
