  • This video is a quick DIY for some Desktop Christmas Trees that I made. I used cedar, cottonwood, and walnut to make 2 different sizes and three different styles. I'll show you some things you can do to make your assembly a little easier and I'll tell you some things that you shouldn't do that will make your assembly process a little harder. I only made sixteen of these and the walnut ones were my favorite. Those dimensions are as follows:
    Base of tree: 3 5/16" L x 5/8" T x 1 3/4" D
    Bottom of tree: 4 9/16"L x 7/16" T x 1 3/4" D
    2 lower levels of tree: 4 @ 3" L x 7/16" T x 1 3/4" D
    Top of tree: 1 @ 3 7/16"L(7/16"Tx1 3/4"D), 1 @ 3 7/8"L(7/16"Tx1 3/4"D)
I used Starbond CA glue for this project to secure all my pieces together. There is a learning curve when using this product, but it is very effective and created for a very nice seamless finish on all of the trees I made. I know there are many different ways that these can be secured together, this is just how I did it for this video. Please feel free to follow the commissioned links provided in the written description of my videos. This is a pain free way you can easily get the products you need without having to search for them and you help support my channel at the same time so we both win. Again, thank you for your time and support. I'll post another video again soon.

They look sweet. I'd like to know which products and types of wood were used for the different looks. I think it'd be very cool if you put a post it note in front of the different versions with the type of wood and treating products in future videos. Another cool video keep it up.

@Justin Dickinson Hey Justin, thanks so much. These turned out pretty nice, despite what I may have been thinking beforehand and during handling. I believe I updated the written description to include the types of wood I used, but my apologies if I haven't already. There are cedar, cottonwood, and walnut species shown in this video. The cottonwood is the predominately white wood, the walnut is the predominately dark/brown colored wood, and the cedar is the pinkish/whitish colored wood. Each of these wood species have their own set of challenges and advantages to working with...you learn what you do and don't like about each species as you work with them. I like your idea of a post it note...maybe I could laser engrave some info on the bases of them or just put some text on the screen to advise viewers of more useful info about this build. If I had someone like you sitting here when I was editing, I would be able to remember details like this and be able to present them in an entertaining and educating fashion. I very much appreciate your support and you taking the time to give me some very useful feedback here. I'll make sure to keep posting the best stuff I can. I'll talk to you again soon my brother.
