I never saw this game in an arcade but since I loaded it onto a Super Retrocade I've been playing it all the time. It's great being able to play all the classics again. Thanks and keep those classic games coming!

An Irem shooter that reminds me of Capcom's Exed Exes in some strange way.

I loved Commando & all the similar top view shooters that followed after it like Soldier Girl Amazon, Gun.Smoke, Sega Ninja/Ninja Princess, Time Soldiers, the Ikari Warriors games, Caliber 50, Out Zone, Mercs, Desert Breaker, Bullet, Smash TV, Total Carnage, Gain Ground, Heavy Barrel, etc. as well as the few games that preceded it like Mister Viking & Boomer Rang'r (which I own 2 PCBs of).

I played Youjyuden a few times but definitely want to spend more time on it. I never got to making a profile of this game for the Emulation Status website I used to maintain that I'd like to bring back (have it backed up thankfully).

Youjyuden translates to Demon Destroyer.

I had to look up the kanji and, apparently, it translates to "Bewitching Animal Legend".
