This game’s soundtrack is friggin epic!!! I will never forget hearing this in the arcade.
Underrated game. I remember this being reduced to 10p per credit in my local arcade in the very early 90s
Kick Ass game ! I remember playing it at one of the 3 arcades in Ingleside Mall back in the late 80's.
I remember playing it in a pool hall in around '85 at Flatbush Ave in the junction in Brooklyn. Too many good times. Had this there, outrun, championship sprint. I miss those times especially living in Brooklyn. The only thing that was annoying about quartet was the guy saying "Sega..c'mon, c'mon.. quartet". It throws off the concentration for me. But this game will always be a classic

This game has very good music
Probably the best ending I've ever seen as well. They spent so much time working on the end it's just amazing really.
Its good musics and thus re-used in Spider-Man arcade games.
And as re-using musics goes Sega also plugs the Space Harrier's music to the first Bayonetta.

1986년 오락실에 나오자 마자 신기해서 했던 4인용 게임 ^^
처음 시작할때 나오는 음악이 너무 좋아서 기억이 생생하네요
한국에서는 이게 최초 4인용겜이라고 최고 인기게임이었죠,, 서로막할라고 경쟁이 심했죠.. 세가에서 만든 배경음악이 압권이었죠(그때는 잘 몰랐지만)..역대 오락실 게임음악 탑3 안에 들어간다고 보네요

I loved playing this at what used to be The Palladium Arcade at North Duke Mall (North Duke Crossing today) back in '87. Joe was always my top choice to use & the music alone is well worth it. The song for the 1st level is memorable.
This needs to be emulated on current home consoles like PS4 BADLY.

Shooting is Magic.
It'd be awesome to see a modern multiplayer game like this. Four player online co-op... maybe even instead of a platform shooter, a 3D third-person shooter with TONS of enemies and powerups... like a multiplayer Dark Void but with crazy bosses and arcade difficult.
This game was a classic if you had the Master system. Those days were grest when you played with someone.

EPIC classic game! This was one of the first games I remember that had a full soundtrack instead of just sound effects. Love it, one of the first ROM'S I loaded onto my Super Retrocade was Quartet. Thanks for the gameplay my friend, good stuff!👍 👍

I have hazy memories of this game. I swear I saw it in an arcade as a kid but I can't remember where.
Fun fact some of the music in this game was reused in the Spiderman arcade game by SEGA

sega has so many rare hidden gems that he a sequel. how is microsoft not putting bread behind these to buy these out and remasted them.
if i was in charge of billion dollar company i would be spend bread to own the ip and then released sequel. they already have a fanbase. and you get new fanbases.

Sure did. Unfortunately, it was only two player which made me wonder why it was still named "Quartet".
I'm having a hard time deciding which version is wierder, the arcade game or the Sega Master system version.
Damienx247 In my opinion the SMS version is way better; much more polished, better graphics, better design, much better music and a better overall package. The only problem is that it was way too short! Sega should have made a Genesis port or maybe sequel.
Interesting, I think the arcade version blows away the SMS version, especially the music.

1986 I wasn't born yet not in 1986 wasent here on earth yet that year I was born in 1991 forever and always when that same year 1991 Sega Arcade scrolling fighting Spider-Man: Videogame came out its good game same as Sega is.

Hi there, when i saw this i remember how i played this game on gamemachines back in 90s as a child :) anyway. I tryed to play this game in MAME UI emulator on clasic PC with keyboard and i cant make some long jumps for example in stage 16 (18:56), you lie down and jump. but for some unknown reason iam unable to do that :\ Can you give me a tip how to jump it? Thanks
