This comment was so comforting 😂😂 I'm Puerto Rican, but my dad was the last generation in my family to be born on the island, so I was born in the states. Because of this, I have to teach myself Spanish, and mine isn't great😂 I won't give up tho! I'm steady tryna embrace my roots. Hope to take things back to the island if they ever get their shit together and aren't taken over by rich white people like Hawaii was 😩

Vonna Nista Vlogs Spanish is very easy to learn, just take classes or find someone to teach you and watch novelas. you could teach yourself, but you really have to be determined to be self-taught. I became fluent in Spanish just by taking classes and reinforcing them by watching/listening to Spanish media, practicing speaking whenever i could, studying, and if i didnt know i word, i would look it up. It seems like a lot, but it really wasnt, and i picked up on spanish pretty fast.
AnimalLover2400 yes I'm going to start applying myself because my mother knows a lot , she didn't talk to me in Spanish when I was little , but I do know some phrases & can communicate a little just by hearing her talk around the house . But thank you! Will do 😊

Joao Faria so true. I speak basic Spanish, and in my opinion it's easier to see the similarities in the written form rather than spoken speech. I definitely wanna learn Brazilian Portuguese, but I don't like the Carioca or paulista accent 😅😅
Can you explain the difference between Brazilian and European Portuguese? Im learning Portuguese but im curious on what the difference is.
Ingrid Muniz the pronunciation is different and dome vocabulary but you should be able tkt understand both no matter which one u chose. It's like American and British English

I went to the Dominican Republic a few months ago and everyone kept speaking Spanish to me because they kept thinking I was Dominican lets just say it was a rough trip lmao
Conecia Junai if you go to any Caribbean country that speaks Spanish they will speak Spanish to you. Not because you look special or anything, but just because those countries have black people. Just like here, if I saw you, I would speak English.

My Grandmother would be soo proud of me rn 😂 But I can't tell her that I barely know anything (cause I secretly search up the spanish for words she says on google when she's not looking and answer her). I'm already in intermediate Spanish but I'm over here jumping in my seat with giddy now that you're doing beginner's Spanish videos. I can more or less speak Spanish and I understand many dialects and accents including of Argentina, Spain, Mexico and Venezuela... But I'll be darned. When I first came to your channel and heard that thick Dominican accent I was like "Wooooah!" But listening to your family speak helps me so much. It makes me smile so much seeing an Afro-Latina speaking Spanish. I'm not Afro-Latina [just Black] but my grandma is, and I'm excited to be a translator soon, along with teaching the language to mis sobrinos, jaja. Anyway, queria a decirte gracias por estos videos! The hardest part about Spanish is the grammar and my professor was very strict. I can memorize words in my sleep, but those formulas for the different tenses take so much time and practice to get it right.
