Great video. My SLK 200 R171 2005 model ashtray was stuck in and was hard to remove. Thanks to this video I managed to dismentle the central console and get through the ashtray panel. Thanks
Hi, an important note here. Not all of the screws are the same, and in some models, for instance those without an ash tray, the screws can be even more different. It is important to track which screw goes where, as if you put in too long a screw, you will break the plastic housing you are screwing in to. Thanks for the great video!
Great video. I've recently purchased a slk350 with a new touch screen car play system already installed, but there is no sound coming out of the rear speakers? Any idea how to fix this?.I have tried the EQ on the stereo to try to force the sound to the rears but it just circulates around the front speakers instead. Thanks in advance if anyone replies. Thank you
Can you please show how to take the shift nob panel to fix the rear head rest pannel on a 1993 MB 500 SEL? When you push the bottoms it looks like came off and they are in behind the panel. How do you fix or trobleshoot the head rest motor also? do you have videos already done on the the same year model? Thanks and keep up the good job!

So with the extra money I want to start doing some DIY and getting her updated and highly specified to my preferences. Question, what is the best aftermarket unit you could suggest I could shop and install in my car? I'd love DVD/Blueray capability and the regular bluetooth and USB/MP3 abilities. Hello, I have a 2006 SLK with Navigation. recently I spread my drink from the cup holder. You know the SLK cup holder is on the top of navigation, so there is some drink seep into some bottoms and inside of cup holder. Every electronic still work fine, but the bottom feel very sticky. The main problem is that my cup holder is very hard very hard to pull out. I saw your video about how to remove SLK radio. Can I wash or clean these bottom and cup holder if take off everything? Thankyou

Follow up: Well - when I took the radio out, there was only a fiber optic(?) cable going to the Harmon Kardon system, so I was clueless at that point. There was no wiring harness to connect my Kenwood to. I ended up putting the Kenwood with backup camera, bluetooth, and Garmin GPS into my old 2003 truck. It was pretty easy to do in the truck. I still want to replace this piece of crap with a double din stereo, but have no idea how to do it. Do you have any videos showing how to connect to a HK system in an SLK350?
You were great, and you did mention most of the screws were the same, and if "Fallen's Comment" carried any weight, he could visually see on your video that the Radio Screws were different! Why did you unplug all system? Is it not enough to just take them out and lay them down? I think I would get confused with all those plugs :D
