If you have to look it then it only means the person is insecure enough that if they don’t look the part then they have no confidence that’s the point of being confident it comes from within and not dependent on what you wear or how you look and sure what you wear dictates how you look but it doesn’t dictate how masculine feminine or confident a man woman is on the inside of themselves. You could feel like the most masculine guy bcuz of what you’re wearing but what if you lost that feeling and lose that confidence all a sudden when you don’t look the part? It just means the person isn’t REALLY truly confident and secure in themselves bcuz real masculinity (or femininity for girls) comes from your confidence within. A girl could wear an all black suit and tie but if they have all the femininity inside to wear it and be themselves then you realize the person is really confident in themselves and it doesn’t really matter what you wear. What you wear doesn’t make or break you it’s YOU ( the individual) that makes or breaks what they’re wearing! Be confident enough that you can look however wear whatever and your masculinity from within and confidence will not drop or change any less than regardless and this is what people pickup. If wearing Nike shoes make someone feel masculine or confident go ahead but it’s not what you wear that some ppl pick up it’s HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT YOURSELF and how you perceive yourselves is how others will feel about you. If someone is generally lacking confidence then a whole black suit and tie would t chsnfe that or make them any more masculine you can smell the lack of it from a mile away! I’m not a watch enthusiast, but I do consider myself knowledgeable in the world of watches to be able to hold a conversation with a watch enthusiast. One thing I’m tired of seeing, is people telling others what watches not to buy. I own Seikos, I own Bulova, Omega, Citizen, Timex, and guess what? I own a MVMT and Daniel Wellington watch. And to be honest, I feel the most confident when wearing the last two mentioned. Why? Because they’re more aesthetically pleasing. 99% of people aren’t gonna care about horology or what type of movement you have in your time piece. They’re only gonna see if it looks good. Which is something MVMT and Daniel Wellington have succeeded in way more than traditional watch brands. Point is, don’t tell people not to buy a certain brand because you don’t like it. The person that buys into these fashion brands, isn’t the same person that cares about horology. They just want to be able to wear a watch, that looks good, and most importantly, just works. Which is the main reason to owning a watch.

Top things that actually affect how people perceive your masculinity:
5: How you talk. Using like in every sentence is perceived as just stupid and no one will want to here what you have to say.
4: Using profanity all the time. If you use “fuck” or “shit” etc in every sentence, you immediately stand out as childish and non-masculine.
3: You wear Nike/Jordan sporty shoes. This is such a big one honestly. Anytime I see a man in Jordans or Nike etc shoes, he immediately stands out as immasculine.
2: Defend your yourself and your opinions. If someone disagrees with you, don’t just take it, stand up for yourself and what you believe.
1: Talking too much and cracking too many jokes. Talking too much just makes you sound jumbled and unfocused. One or two jokes is funny, but most people don’t want to be laughing every 10 seconds. There is a time and place for everything.
Of course these are just my opinions, so take them for what they are. There are. undoubtably more things however these are the main things I could come up with.

I dont think ear rings make you look less manly. I think in more eastern cultures, ear rings have a "bad boy" or gangster kind of persona or image associated with them. Ear rings are just unprofessional. Thats why you wont go into a bank or a business presentation with them on. Not because theyre not manly. In fact, I think it makes more sense to look manly in a social setting, especially when trying to woo a woman, than it is in a business setting.
