    Thanks so much for watching!
Did you try one of the dehydration checks I taught in this video? Is your 🐶 dehydrated?

Thank you!!! I have heard of giving pups pumpkin but I didn't think about the hydration aspects. Dipping the bowl totally makes sense too!!!

Glad the info helps. Make sure you buy 100% pumpkin and not pumpkin pie filling. ☺️ Best wishes to you and your dog!

Hi Ariana, I’m not a veterinary professional, but I’ve seen thousands of posts in my CCL recovery Facebook groups where people say it takes their dogs a few days to poop after surgery. Anesthesia slows everything down, and when they’re not moving around, taking long walks or running, GI motility slows just like it dies in people.
Be sure to offer your dog fresh water or try some fresh or steamed (non gas-producing) veggies. Fruits like watermelon or cantaloupe could be given in moderation because they’re sugary. If your dog has diabetes or Cushing’s disease lots of sugary fruits or veggies (carrots) should be avoided.
I recommend calling the vet if he doesn’t go by tomorrow and certainly by day four post-op. And there’s no harm in calling them today to ask for what to expect post-op. It might also be mentioned in your dog’s veterinary discharge instructions.

can you tell me how can I make my dog potty during injury. He fell down from house yesterday and maybe his legs are broken and he cant stand. How can I make him urine and potty.

roshes if he fell I highly recommend getting him to a vet ASAP. The only thing I could suggest is using a towel sling, but if he has broken bones this isn’t a good enough solution. Your dog really needs to be seen by a doctor.

@@RunAgainRover ohh thank you so much. he was taken to hospital today but sadly it was closed so we couldnt take x ray. And it's been 1 day he hadn't potty or urine.

roshes there might be an emergency vet clinic nearby that’s open when other practices aren’t. Or you might be able to find a home visit vet.

@@darkgrimoir3 glad he finally peed. I hope the pain meds do the trick. Good luck, and hopefully you can look for a solution so he doesn't fall again.

    Garlic is not toxic

I realize there's some controversy about allowing dogs to ingest garlic. For my dog, I prefer to err on the side of caution. I look to see what veterinary experts have to say. Here's an article authored by three veterinarians, two of whom are board certified veterinary toxicologists: vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/onion-garlic-chive-and-leek-toxicity-in-dogs
