bare bottom saltwater tank. no sand bed in saltwater aquarium. I removed the sand bed from my 125 gallon saltwater tank after seeing the constant sludge I was syphoning out of it during weekly water changes. Uneaten food and detritus were gathering in the sand bed at an alarming rate. Once the sand bed was removed, my corals looked different, very different. Very colorful and vibrant.
