i started with my bare bottom , but i put a methacrylate down , between rock and glass , but accumulate so much dirty. its better take out , and let the rock over the glass ? What is your tip to me ? I have a Redsea 300 XL
Very informative! Love all the tips and thanks for sharing. I have a quick question please. I no it’s kind of off topic however have hair algae on my spa atm and trying to figure out how to get it off? Thanks in advance
what kinds of fishes can I put on bare bottom 70gallon tank? can Mandrian Dragonet live without substrate? If Mandrian is allowed without substrate, then I will put it maybe a year later or so once my tank gets established and have lots of copepods.
Hey Travis what flow rate are you using through your UV sterilizer? There are so many gph /watt recommendations out there. Looking for more water clarity with my JEBAO 36W.
I actually use the same brand of float algae scraper as Travis and the magnet surprisingly connects through my stand and helps scrape the bottom of my tank, it's not perfect, but it helps if you keep on top of it.
Wow Travis the tank looks better and better with every video

Aye, that OEF tat though. 2015-16 and 2017-18 for me
You obviously spent a lot of time planning that sump area. Im going to have to comb through your videos to find more. I'm jealous in a good way.
Do you put the rock over some acrilic plastic , for don't break the aquarium cristal ? .. or only put the rock without nothing .
Great aquarium !
Beautiful reef nice and stable!

Hi! How do you prevent the water from getting cloudy with the detritus being blown around?
Nice video Travis. I'm wondering...do you remove the coraline from the bottom of the tank?
I dont i sometimes clean the back glass but leave the bottom alone

Are you going to have your back glass be covered in coraline algae?
what size is this tank ?
Good tips. Barebottom is a very nice lower maintenance option. What kind of wrasses is that blueish one? How does it do without the sanded?
Melanarus and 4 years strong no problems he sleeps in the rocks
Tank looks great. What are the dimensions of the tank itself? I know you've said it i just dont remember .
its cool 96x24x31
Whats surge? Damn im so dumb
surge wave, just a more powerful flow rate in the tank for a period of time
Noob question, what exactly is detritus
Fish poo
