No he did not if the Mini Series was right Otis had a Band then it Broke up and Malvin told another Band that had also broke up with a few of their band members that Otis wanted to join their band Malvin was lying to get them all together However All These Young Men Started a New Band the Temptations Which Otis did not Start The reason why when the Temptations broke up they could all Legally use the Band Name Which Otis hated Otis was the one Member of the Temptations with No real Talent and Seemed Jealous of the others he Seemed to bully Malvin Yet as he was the one left he got to tell the Story making himself to be the Hero which he was not Otis most likely did do the most to keep the band together as he was the least talented Gorda made a Fortune out of the Temptations worked all the members of the Band into the ground for ten years and Paid them very little Gorda was a Criminal and maybe Worse
Your quibble is over whether "co-founder" is more accurate than "founder". I am going by Otis Williams' autobiography "Temptations" which he co-authored with Patricia Romanowski. I have it in hardcover. "Otis Williams Founder of Motown's Super Group" in big letters on the cover. From page 46: "A few days later I phoned Berry to tell him the news 'I got my group'". At the end of the day, if you outlive everyone else I think that entitles you to shape the narrative a bit. Happy to hear out any alternative perspectives on this though.
Maybe punctuate once in a while.... Jesus!
