    When 24 feet is too big, and a 21 or 22 foot boat is not enough, 23 is RIGHT in that sweet spot. The 2021 Moomba Mojo will not disappoint, the wave was awesome, watch the video for full review and settings, stock and weighted.

    Do you remember where you put your lead? I have one coming in May and 1,000lbs of lead also. Great videos, thanks for the surf settings!

    Great video. As always I have a question. You mentioned in a few videos about the firmness of the Supra waves. SE/SA are a little firmer than the SL. I'm puzzled because the SA is the shortest of the 3. Is it because at the time you made this video the SL had not been redesigned yet, while the SE and SA had? I'm just trying to plan what I may look at in the future. Thanks for all you guys do!

    Love this boat. Can’t wait for used ones in a few years. I know the ski wake won’t be great, but I wonder what it looks like.

      yeah, these boats have gone away from worrying too much about a "light" footprint for skiing.

    where did you distribute the lead? how much in the rear and other places? we've got a 17 Mojo and still having trouble dialing in a clean and good wave? thank you

    Great video and love the reviews. Thank you so much for all you do. I do have a question, maybe more for the the manufactures, but why is it necessary to add 1k lbs of lead ballast to a 100k- 200k boat. I watched the videos for the moomba and the Supra’s but they all need more lead.

    • @michaelburke1116
      @michaelburke1116 3 роки тому +1

      With autowake the boat will automatically adjust your ballast system to give you the preferred pitch and roll of the boat for the best wave. But you sacrifice ballast because it will unload some water in certain bags to make the boat sit at your preferred pitch and roll. So this mojo for instance holds 4,000lbs of water but at your preferred angle it may only be able to use 3,500 lbs of water to make your ideal wave. The lead allows you to move weight around in the boat so that with autowake you can have ballast filled to the max and just move the lead to change your pitch and roll instead of bleeding off ballast. The boat makes a great wave without lead but the lead just makes a great wave that much better.

    I have a 21 moomba mojo. Looking to upgrade prop from OJ 15.5x16.5. What prop would you reccomend. Primarily surfing and would love to lower RPMs. Currently at 5k ballast. 4500 water and 500 lead. Was considering the acme 3407

  • @alwaysboatin659
    @alwaysboatin659 Рік тому

    I know I keep asking questions. Just trying to learn as much as possible so on the water experience is better. You had a 21 mojo for a summer I believe. And used 1000 lbs of lead. Do you remember what prop it had? I will have a smaller crew than you, but 1500lbs of additional ballast (wakemakers plus 600 lead). Curious if you remember the prop that pushed the weight you had. Thanks

    You should really test out the moomba max! I feel like it would help a lot of new people coming into the wakesurf community because the boat is big and less expensive

    Thanks for the review! I just put a deposit down to hold a spot for one of these over the summer. What didn’t you like about it? On a budget of ~85k, how do you think it compares to a 5 year old Supra or Malibu LSV?

      @dk001m 3 роки тому

      @@wake9tv yes exactly - seemed like you really liked it, so wondering if there were any faults (apart from what you covered). And then how a nicely optioned new mojo like this stacks up against an older Supra or other top-shelf brand.

      Go used Supra. The Supra wakes are some of the best

    • @wake9tv
      @wake9tv  3 роки тому

      @@dk001m They are not as posh as the Supras, not a big deal, but its nice when you get used to the supra. The mojo liked more weight up front than I would like, but not much, its more of a nit pick. And when we put the lead up front, that boat took it great. I like the supra styling better, but at the end of the day, the wave is all that matters, and this delivered. I think I would like if more of the ballast, was subfloor. Much of it is, but it would allow a bit more storage, I think that is it.

  • @mikeladewski7643

    I am hoping to get a boat that won’t require extra lead to be added to get a great wave. I was hopeful that the 2021 mojo would deliver. Would you recommend any boats in the moomba line for a great stock wave?

    • @wake9tv
      @wake9tv  3 роки тому

      This had a great stock wave, probably the best stock wave of the moombas. I would say the makai requires extra weight, this is just better, but its great stock. I think the Kaiyen is also great stock, but more lead does make it bigger.

    how mis aligned was the surf tab, curios how much it has to be out of place to cause the problems you experienced. Was it mounted wrong up/down or side to side on the stern?

    • @wake9tv
      @wake9tv  3 роки тому +1

      It was mounted too high, maybe only an inch or so, because if it was much more than that, we would have noticed just looking at it. But that would make a huge impact on how it worked.

      Nice camerawork....
      Since the ballast in this video is ar 100 %..
      Is it the position of the tabs and wake plate that determine the pitch and roll?

      Flow 3 was installed and used, and I think flow 3 is best on all the boats we have tested with it, check the video we did on the Makai, where we go into that in detail, as to what the benefit of flow 3 is.
