Moomba sets a new bar with this boat and makes 24 feet the new sweet spot for value surf boats. Outstanding wave and value is found here. Watch til the end for all of the settings for our test sessions.

I had a 2015 Mojo with small manual surf tabs. I built several ghetto-gates, which made it better, but this wave looks at least twice as big!
Great review!
Thanks for sharing
Rag boy I thoroughly enjoyed that review. I loved the explanation of exactly where you placed the lead with your settings. Can’t wait to see a full review of the Makai!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great review as always. I'd love to see a wakeboard wake review.
thank you.
As always a fantastic review! Boat looks amazing and solid wave !!!
Thanks a ton!
Nice job Wake9! I’m going to get that wave with my Mojo. I’m propping down, adding WM bags, plus 1000k of lead. 🤞
You can do it!
I’m in utah, we have a lot of Great Lakes here, but a short season. I’m in the market for a better boat. I currently have a 06 Malibu 21’ VLX. Great boat, but small ofcourse.
I’m looking at several boats in my price range $60-$90k is where I’m trying to stay. I’ve narrowed down to my market which is 2013 mb 24’ tomcat, 2023 moomba max, mb b52, or I did find a 2014 supra sc550. We pull tubes and use a boat in for lots of things, we also go to big lakes with choppy water and big waves (at times) like lake powell, bear lake, but I’d love to also be able to throw a killer surf wave. I’ve had good luck with the swell surf system, I’m curious from your experience, what boats within my constraints should I consider in your opinion? As much as I’d love a new Supra, our short season and my optimal budget I’ll be perfectly fine with less. Any insight you have is appreciated
I like the MB boats, but its been some time since I have been around them, they don't come back east much. In that price range I would try to find a later model, that is less expensive. The reason for that is that the later generations especially from skiers choice, have made huge strides to a great wave. For instance, the moomba max or tykon.

what engine is on this boat? wondering if the 400 is under power
Checked my notes, this was a 400, and did great.
What moomba model has the best surf wave?
IMO, this or the makai. However, the tykon has more ballast, and its easier to make because of that. The makai has flow 3, which is a cleaner wave. So all that to say, the tykon with flow 3, would be the best out of the box IMO.
does the 10ish pitch principle apply to all wake boats? I have a 25 ft axis T250 and notice it rides pretty flat in the water when surfing. wondering if more pitch will help!
usually more pitch combined with speed always works, but the number is not the same on all hulls. Usually, increase pitch until your boat can't hold the speed, and then back down. So if you get to 11.5 or 12 and the rpms start to increase too much, there is a point where the wave is best, and its usually before the RPMs start to shoot up.
