❤❤❤ Sexy and genuine as always. And of course I always liked your interpretations, but I really loved your comments about aging at the end and the way that you approached it.
You make that really short list of artists and bands that emerged in the 70s and just took the rock of the 60s to brand brand new places. Steely Dan is on that list. Iconic, navigated a new path in popular music tapping into rock, soul, jazz, and pop. Nobody has replicated them since. They are legends.
Hey Faye! Where you been? Missed you! Maybe it's me. Well if you were 19 and I was 17....oh dear!! 😊 so good to see you again and the Band is exquisitely brilliant
Heh, between this song, "Kid Charlemagne" and "Deacon Blues", Steely Dan might have taught me more about drugs back when I was a kid than any other band and without my even realizing it! Growing up with their music on the radio made it easy to take them for granted. Their music was always there on the radio and when you're a kid you have no idea what is involved in making records and the like or that catchy tunes could someday become rare.
I understand this song much better now than when it came out. ☺ Maybe I'm lucky, maybe not, but while my body changed my brain is still the same. Awesome song, from the instruments to the vocals, everything. Thanks, Mpwa Fay! ❤❤❤❤
This song is about the age gap between an older man and a 19 years old girl and their incompatibility in their interests and cultural differences. Hence why he sang "No we can't dance together. No we can't talk at all." & " No we got nothing in common." & how the girl doesn't know who Aretha Franklin is.

Cuervo gold...(Tequila)... the fine Columbian...(Marijuana)... make the best of the times, and give good vibes!!! ✍️😎💪

Aging is required, maturing is optional. I'm living proof. 😃
It's mesmerising.
An older guy getting busy with a young 19 year old girl. That's the gist.
Yeah, Becker and Fagen wrote about a lot of freaky stuff that they gussied up with their faux jazz.
Please check out All of the album... cool personified...😎🎶🎵✔️

Sorry but the song isn't about aging and botox but having fun and living life to its fullest. I really enjoyed your review - sincerely and honestly. 😊
