This looks so pretty, I have watched some of the tutorial and I can tell I'll be able to follow along no problem, Thank you for that 😊
My question is, what's the benifit to using a thinner yarn and doubling it up rather then just using a thicker yarn to begin with? I will follow as you have done it, Im just new to this art and curious 😊. Thank you

      Thank You 🥰
There is no benefit to it. It is easier to do it with a tricker yarn. I just had a lot of the thin yarn because it was on sale, so I had to use some of it 😝

Hi Vibeke! I have a question (again lol) I’m loving your channel and am on project #2 (first was a HDC blanket. Turned out amazing and BIG). Now this is 2nd. I’m almost done ribbing for scarf part. Here is my question, bare with me.. after ribbing you double up yarn, what I was wondering if I could do is add a different weight of yarn while using one strand of the original colour and the second strand of different weight and texture. In a nut shell I’m using Bernat Premium in a 4 weight and I want to use one strand of that and as my second strand use Bernat Velvet in a 5 weight. I wanted the softness but some structure of the 4 weight as the velvet can become flimsy. Is this possible to do or would it make my project come out lopsided or funny. I mean I could always try but I rather not waste time. Sorry if I confused you. I’m still kinda new at crocheting. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you for your time Vibeke. 🥰Angie

      Hi Angie😊
Thank You so much for the kind words. Im so glad to hear that You like the things I do 🥰
So You are using a weight 4 for the ribbing, and now You want to do a 4 and a 5 together. Sure You Can do that, but I would maybe go up a needlesize or 2. Maybe a size 7 or 8 mm. And if your work begin to streatch (like you feel that it is getting a bigger volume than the rib) I think I would skip a row in the rib (maybe every 4th time) when it feels right.
It’s hard to say. I say, go for it 😊

Thank you sooo much for your help and soo quickly to. 😉. I don’t know anyone I can ask for advice sadly. I’m gonna give it a go and see what happens. I should of picked a softer yarn to begin with but instead chose colour and design over feel. Bad idea but oh well it will look great and hopefully keep me warm in cold Canadian winters. Thank you again for advice and quick reply. Hope your channel gets more attention cuz it’s absolutely amazing and well done even for beginners such as me. ☺️

You are welcome 😊 I hope it turns out great.
A canadian winter sounds really cold. Right now we are having real snow for the first time in many years 😊 (in Denmark)
Thank you so much for your kind words. I will make a ton of tutorials and hope for the best 🥰

@@DivingDucksCrochethow would I increase the width to make it a shawl instead of a scarf. I would like it to be 22” wide. Also could I use a bulky yarn 5 or 6 instead of doubling the yarn?
