Thankyou for the tutorial! I too prefer the rounded hoodie over the pointy one and was wondering how to do it. And your pace feels just right..both narration and working pace 👍🙏❤
I just found you searching crochet on YT. I am excited to go through your videos!! Doing a brief view of your listed videos....you have BEAUTIFUL garments!!! Ty for taking the time to share your talent with all of us! Hoping you’ll be on here sharing these beautiful garments with all of us!! Thank you so much!!! PS: if you could use brighter light to eliminate shadows and zoom in super close so we can see exactly what your doing (it’s soooo helpful as a beginner). Ty
Beautiful, you made it super simple to follow along and I see you have so many gorgeous top tutorials that I can’t wait to explore! Happy Holidays, hope to see plenty of your work in the new year! 💜🙏🎄💜
A friend asked me to make this for her but I’m using a worsted 4 weight yarn instead of the bulky yarn,so because it’s thinner I had to make my chain longer but it’s turning out great with this yarn. It’s also a fun but easy pattern to do. I’m just on the 12th row so I just got started but can’t wait to see the finished product. Thanks for sharing this with us.
So wonderful that you created the hood without a point in the back! How would I make the hood wider and drapier without a seam at all, what would I do? Thank you! 🙏🏽♥️
Hi, yes you can make it bigger. Once you are done with the scarf, you would make the width of the hoodie wider at the point where I fold the scarf in half to find the centre for the hoodie - and as for more ease on the hoodie, you would have to add a few more rounds before you begin the decreases for the rounded top of the hoodie - Gosh! I hope this all makes sense
@@JKDHandmade Greetings! Yes, your explanation makes good sense! Thank you for taking your time to tell me how to expand the hood! Most appreciative! Belinda
Hallo, Vielen Dank für Ihr gutes und nützliches Training. Ich wollte fragen, für welches Alter dieser Schal und diese Mütze, die Sie gestrickt haben, geeignet sind?
Looks lovely, and i agree with the rounded hood instead of the pointy ten year old one. Im wondering why you didnt try it on. I find it hard to make something i cant see finished on a real live human. Beautiful job though.
Hi, thank you🌸 At that time I didn’t want to be on social media🤦🏽♀️ - I needed to get used to it all! this hoodie fits a head circumference of 55cm or 21,5 inches - I created the pattern to give everyone an idea of how to make a rounded hoodie. The pattern can be used for any hoodie using the same stitch pattern - I don’t like pointed hoodies so I just shared this to help others that don’t like pointed hoodies too😊
You're a star. I've been wanting to make one of these but don't like the pixie style hood😢 Thanks so much for a great tutorial.May I ask what is the approximate measurement of the hood before you start the reduction rows?
This video is sooo beautiful and you explained it so nicely. I just made one tonight from another video and it was so complicated. I can't wait to make this one. I'll keep you posted and subscribe and follow you. Ty
Hi. Yes it will. You will have to adjust the number of chains for the scarf and the width and length of the hoodie. The steps for getting the hoodie rounded will always be the same regardless of the wool used
Love the rounded hood! I'm doing a bit chunkier yarn with an 8mm hook. What would be the height on the hood before you start decreasing? My stitches are longer using the bigger hook so I need to adjust pattern as it will be less rows. Just wondering if you maybe had a height measurement. Thanks!
Hi, work until when you sort of measure the piece against yourself or whoever you may be making this for, it measures from the base of the neckline to the highest part of the head (the crown) plus an inch or so extra to make it a bit loose, and then begin the decreases - hope this helps🌸
@@JKDHandmade Thanks! I did wind up having to pull it out and redo but it worked out the second time. I needed the hood. Little smaller so I shortened the length to 15 inches instead of 19 and it was perfect! I started the decrease about where you said and it worked out. For the band I only did one row of single, one row of double, and finished with a row of single. Came out great! It's going to keep me super warm this winter!!
Hi Lynn, it’s difficult for me to explain by writing- I will be making another tutorial explaining how to adjust for all sizes - please lookout for that video - I will be posting soon
Hi Timothy. I’m sure that the scarf part of the pattern would be easy to adjust. You would have to make 2 adjustments to the hoodie (1) when you measure for the hoodie change the measurement from 9” to about 7,5” and (2) lessen the number of repeats for Round 2 and Round 3 - instead of 18 repeats, make it 14 repeats. I hope this helps.
Nice video but you should've showed how to finish the last few rows that combine to create the hoodie You stopped @ combining 2 on each side of the stich marker then showed it done after rows of combining stitches but didn't show how to do it.
Hi ShaLysse. Yes, of course. Please have a look at the written pattern on my blog chainsnloops.com Let me know at exactly which step of the pattern you are having trouble with and I will explain it. I did look at the video but couldn’t figure out exactly where you were having trouble - you are welcome to email it to me jayshree@chainsnloops.com and I will reply as soon as I receive your email
Hi Jishan. Thanks for your comment. I’m not sure if you have a problem with the pattern. If so, have a look at the written pattern on chainsnloops.com. And let me know exactly at which step you are stuck, I will help from that step in the pattern.
I’m sorry to have disappointed you. I don’t know where I’ve skipped the pattern- I do have a written pattern up on chainsnloops.com and I have a tutorial with a rounded hooded in the pipeline, I will make certain to go through this one in more detail. Once again… sorry
I love how you reduced the hood to not be pointed. This is the first tutorial I saw that does that. Thanks. I really like this.
I agree 100%.
I agree, this is an amazing video

I was trying to figure a way to make a hood to the scarf I have. This is a great tutorial. Thank you! Hopefully I can finish it in time.
I love the rounded hood. In previous hoods, I would sew it rounded but I am excited to follow this pattern. You explain it very well, thank you.

Can't wait to make this scarf..so pretty. Thanks for this awesome tutorial.
Nice. I need to alter a bit. I don’t like a gap. I’m not working with bulky. So my chain won’t count. I’m going straight into the first space. Nice
Easy to follow instructions. Thank you
