this song has resurfaced and is really popular among spanish speakers because of a well liked book in spanish called 'boulevard'. it's one of the most popular books among teenagers and wattpad users from the past couple of years (the book was originally written in that platform but it was recently released as an actual book so it's getting even more popular). the thing is that one of the main characters in the book loves bands like the fray, green day, pink floyd and so on, so there'a many references to these types of songs throughout all of it. that character is also very loved by readers and this song reminds them of him. it's basically part of the soundtrack of that book alongside 'wonderwall' by oasis and 'boulevard of broken dreams' by green day (hence the name of the book being boulevard)

Why is this all of a sudden so popular among the Spanish speaking people? I'm genuinely curious. I remember this song being so popular in America and always on the radio when I was 14. I'm 27 now. It's still a great song, it's nice to see a revival of people who like it.
It also took em a little time to learn a couple words but it was so wprth it ..
it's mostly because latin america, this type of music isn't so much popular. And the fray is not a band that you hear much around here. Mostly pop singers. And now, because a story on wattpad, boulevard, and tiktok, a lot of teenager found this song, so yeah

He’s so down to earth, he literally is so cute and he’s shy to others. Then we were walking at the park and we saw a VCR and a moon. We sit down at a chair and watch the moon while listening to a song. I just got a glimpse of the MV playing at the VCR. I asked the guy some question based on the lyrics of the song which I clearly don’t remember. I woke up rushing to search for the MV and guess what? TOOK ME 3 HOURS TO FOUND THE MV OF THIS AND CAME HERE AFTER. 😭 I need to find that guy. 😭😭

i like to think this is the sequel of 'how to save a life', from the other person's pov. how to save a life is about regret and guilt, not being able to stop someone from hurting themself or taking their life. this song is about hurting and needing someone, but nobody is there until it's too late. the person from 'how to save a life' doesn't know how to help the person from 'you found me'.

Yeah I have been a having a rough day. My dad said something to me the other day and it’s making me feel like my sexuality doesn’t matter. Since then I keep thinking why did I come out if it doesn’t matter. I feel like I’m back in the tenth grade when I was so scared to come out because I was being bullied really badly and I didn’t want that to be another thing for them to bully me about. But I told friends that I knew I could trust. At that time I was waiting to tell my dad because I didn’t feel ready to tell but apparently me telling him didn’t matter to him because he looked through my messages and that afternoon he forced me to come out to him when I wasn’t ready. Also for some context I’m 21 and in the last semester of community college.

This is a twisted way of thinking but perhaps he felt that you thought you couldn't trust his with such a sensitive topic (not that any of it is about him, but people tend to make our struggles about them).

@@paigehanna6183 I spent 8th, 9th, and 10th grade trying to figure my sexuality out to the point where I almost couldn’t eat a lot of food because stomach was in knots most of the time. In 9th and 10th grade I went through almost 8 pairs of ear buds listening to music to try and stop me from thinking because my head wouldn’t stop going through the same freaking thoughts that also kept me up until like 3 am. I had a crush on my best friend and I figured it out after she moved when I went it 8th grade. Over the summer going into 11th grade I dated my other best friend it didn’t go well we dated for a month and she broke up with me when I was at dinner with the friend that moved so I could see her again.
