I remember this tour and the tour before and especially these shows with Mark Karen were some of the best shows and the best of Bobby I've ever seen it seemed like it was such a magical time
Bobby u help me through the good times, buy carried me through the bad time. Even at mt darkest of hours u have so mush joy to me. And for that I'm forever GRATEFUL !!
Man, that was great. But I missed watching Jeff. You could see Bob was aware, too. He walked over close to Jeff and nodded his head to the camera towards Jeff. So glad I found this gold nugget.

Mid December SF 2005, i recall earlier that year in LC Pavilion/Promowest Pavilion was someone special's 500th show and the A1/Albinos wrapped so well in chocolate Hearts which anyone who knows surely knows the strong Hearts do Always prevail. And always made bail down to Mexico
The spring tour of 2005 was epic. Just listen to some of the shows from April, especially the Kirby Center in PA (the best show I've ever been to). The whole year was incredible though. These year-closers all had an irresistible groove. Just listen to He's Gone. Love me some Dog.
@@jeremykarwaski689 Thank you, I'm glad someone out there has recognized that show for what it is. I was born too late for Garcia, but I started with "The Dead" in 2004 with Warren Haynes and Jimmy Herring. I enjoyed it, but the Kirby Center the next year with Ratdog was pure magic and cemented my seat on the bus. 1,800 capacity venue I think? The Truckin' reprises that they kept slipping into! Insane. It still stands as the best live music I've ever been privileged to witness in person (I got Brokedown Palace as a closer too!).
@@bookmedia67 Def the highlight of my life, those days lol. Did you attend the Montage Mtn Scranton Pa "The Dead" show 8-3-04, i think, that was a bit awkward setlist wise, and Warren Haynes gets me all pouty and miserable, I have no idea why. Strange setlist. Banyan Tree wasn't amazing like the '98 or '02 "other oneS" versions, Masons children and keep on growing were nice to see. I would give a nut for ratdog to play there again.....maybe both nuts and a kidney 😃
@@jeremykarwaski689 I was at Nissan Pavilion on 8/15/04. I love Govt Mule and his work with the Allman Bros, but I've never really seen Warren as a good fit for Dead tunes. Ratdog, and then Furthur in 2010, represented the sound I was looking for. With Ratdog, I loved how Bobby took some of his less-popular songs from later-era Dead and made them into absolute beasts. I never thought I would be telling people that the highlights from a first set would be "Easy Answers" and "Corrina," but damn they were good in RD. The arrangement of "Music Never Stopped" he was playing on 2007 with Steve Kimmock was insane too.
and this is why Dead music is above all - hand it off to a room full of A+ players and you'll get something that sounds both familiar and yet completely new. Wish I had caught Rat Dog back in the day
I have a sneaking suspense this was Bobby's last haircut and shave for awhile. Ratdog ⚡💔⚡is that Sylvester something on Bass? I know everyone else. NICE interplay between David and Kenny!T Stones with a breakdown? Heck ya mo,mo, mo.🍻💨💨
I have head people complain about Bob and the Dog...how could you listen to this and not be impressed?Esp the Other One....I have heard Dog shows that sent goose bumps up my back....but like Dead I heard some that sucked. But all and all the Dog rules.....
