    Thank you so much for taking the time to show this process in a clear and concise manner. Haven't started yet but I am much more confident that the project will turn out well after watching your video.

    I really appreciate your help. I never would have thought of boiling water. I put this project off for maybe a month cause I couldn't figure out how to wrap the vinyl under itself. Great job. Thanks!

    Thanks very much for this! Our double-wrap chaise strap had slots instead of rivets, but your tutorial was critical to success. Years more life in it now!

    Thank you for your instructional videos. I was able to repair my swing chair after ordering your #30-511 rivets. Question: is there a method for installing canvass straps instead of vinyl?

    Hello. Loved your video. My chairs have vinyl or rubber webbing that is double wrapped on each side. The method used to attach to the frame was not riveted. There is a 1/2" to 3/4" slit that is threaded with the vinyl at a triangular point and then wrapped. It is weaved into the cross straps and then attached at the other side. We cannot figure out how to attach the point into the other side. Do you do the 10" stretch and stick the point in slit and then release like with a rivet? Sure could use your help here. Thanks!

    Looks like a lot of work gotta figure out how I can remove the old paint without a sand blaster not sure if my dad's pressure washer still works or not, never said he out the new part on it that he lost.

    Great demonstration! In addition to needing new straps my patio furniture could use a coat of paint. What kind of paint do you recommend? Thanks!

    What do you do if the strap was not installed with rivets? It looks like the corners were cut off so that only a point of material was pushed in the hole. I am thinking I will have to dig or pull them out with flatnose plyers. Do the rivets come with the roll of strap?

    If I have single wrap now can I replace with double wrap? Double wrap seems more secure. Also I currently have slots so not sure how drilling into the slots will work.

    Well the video is clear on how this works but for my wife and I it was no where as easy. Even after putting the straps in boiling water for 5 minutes as the video caption suggests it cooled off quickly and the two of us combined had to really muscle these to get them into place. Pain in the rear but at least we only had two broken straps to replace this time.

      This is my experience as well. A 23" strap could be stretched no where near 10". Best I could get was about 3" of stretch. Not enough to pull into place. Ugh.

    thank you for he video itd been so helpful to rewrapping our own chairs. thought what are the gloves your using to do the wrappings with?

    • @sunnilandpatio2441
      @sunnilandpatio2441  4 роки тому

      Great idea! Yes, you can use the gloves! We do it because the straps are hot while installing.

    My chairs are double-wrap, BUT they don't use holes and rivets. They have "slots" and the end of the strap feeds directly into that slot. I can't even get the old strap OUT of the slot. (I could of course just tear it leaving a small bit inside the frame.) Is there something specific I should do for that kind, or should I just drill holes in the frame and use rivets for the replacement?

    • @sunnilandpatio2441
      @sunnilandpatio2441  3 роки тому +2

      Yes, go ahead and drill holes to use rivets. Hope that helps!

    I do the maintenance in a condominium. The chairs are really old but the metal it is good. I would like to do it a upgrade, but it is around 40 chairs and I am afraid to take to long to do it.
