I got it free on DVD in the newspaper about 10 years ago. Funniest thing to watch when high. All the faces in the crowd wedged in to make sure they get on the tv lol.
When u look back charlton was honest, straight up and exactly what we needed..some many great characters in this video...watching aherne eating his food with dunphy and giles in the rte studios was class!!!.
My uncle had this on vhs but I remember every game of this as me dad went to every game of that campaign..remember mcloughlins equaliser rip big jack and Alan..
Absolutely Brilliant Thank u for this! So Reminiscent The world cup in the usa was special for me! I really didn't know this documentary was out there SAFE☆☆☆☆☆
Nice to see the flags and the happy old times. Sad to say on one of the flags is Kiely's of Donnybrook and Long's Pub in Donnybrook, Auld grand Boozer's , Dublin in the rear auld time's like late Ronnie Drew sang and said is gone forever.. I had many a pint in both Pubs. Gone Now. Progress ??????????????????????. Culture and History Matter.
Jack Charlton should have been knighted for his Eire escapades. What did Bobby do after retiring, just hung about Old Trafford really. Table for four please: Jack, David Attenborough & Paul McCartney & my ears.. Jack had great football nous, England & Leeds Utd loss sadly as a manager. Great man.
I was there. Jack is right about the first 10 minutes. We were on top of them but as always happens in a game, be it football ( soccer ) or rugby or whatever, if you don't make your mark when you're on top you can actually see and feel the momentum slipping towards the other side. ( I was at the Havelock Square End, perfect view ). Goodness me, I'm an Arsenal fan and have seen the very same thing happen too many times - especially with Wenger and Emery - and you know, you just know, there's this creeping certainty you're going to get punished. And we were, that day. We did well to score at least the 1.
@christophersmith8990 that may be true. I'm speaking for myself. I'm also speaking for the players that were either more proud to play for the Irish team than their own country or who just couldn't cut it to make the British team.
Great documentary. Early 90s were the best #nostalgia
Sleep well big jack and Alan and thanks for great memories
RIP Big Jack. We’ll never forget you. Thanks forever and RIP to Alan McLoughlin too.
Brilliant documentary, many thanks.

you are a liar
had this on video, then USA '94 straight after
God I love Ireland!
Never seen that colour of Northern Ireland away kit, awesome!!
I remember ROI played NI a year later up in Belfast in the Euro qualifiers and they had a Patrick home kit, was more like a rugby jersey.
No greater pride than the pride of being Irish.

@christophersmith8990 whatever country wouldn't let them play on. You are the scholar not me.
I first discovered the song "To win just once" from this video. The song is even better than the video.
The games used to be during the day ..
No flood lights at the old landsdown ..
great times 🇮🇪
Gerrouah dat garrden!
Rip Alan
That was a great video. Go raibh maith agat.
Great times 🇮🇪
Not likely we'll see another team as good as this for some time :(
Highly unlikely
Numbers playing at top level have disappeared.
Mostly 2nd /3rd rate players now
Roy Keane looks like a small boy
Alan Mc Loughlin RIP
Muito bom 🇮🇪
Photographers, what a pain.
We won 1 nil that night in Spain we were robbed
Soccer with out fans is like,,,beep
Who knew john Aldridge was multi lingual 😂
Is jack been taking hostage at 55 min.
Fair play, you qualified for USA '94. But this is nowhere as hilarious as the Graham Taylor documentary.
alan kernaghan was pathetic
Aye he had the pace of an elephant and I would have kept Moran in when McGrath returned
He didn't even want to play for us, he wanted to play for the North
God, video recording really was shitty back in the day wasn't it?
Didnt realize jack Charlton played, he looks too big! Didnt his twin brother bobby just pass away?
He won the World Cup in 1966 with his brother Bobby (no twins though).
Blackburn Rovers have bid £5m pounds for is services 🤣
ha, that girl was right about McLoughlin, lol
