GR86 because I hate fixing cars.
Im an old man (58) and could have easily bought the Corvette however, I absolutely love the GR86. Drove a 2020 86 for almost two years and traded it in for a 2022 GR86 Premium in track bRed and friggin LOVE IT. I've had vettes in my day and none of them handled as well as the 86 does on the twisties.

I would definitely choose the GR86. I want a brand new car under warranty. I don't want some old car that keeps breaking down with expensive repairs.
I did not like anything about the Gen 1 86 besides it was a RWD manual sports coupe. Gen 2 blew it away for me. Car is everything I want.
You could have both if you were to take your LS engine and put it in your GR86 😏

c6 is cool and amazing, but I would much rather have my premium GR. The reliability and the fact of knowing what the car has been through(I got it off the truck), allows me to feel more safe in my car. C6 is for sure a cool car though

Thanks for this! I’ve been looking at the GR86 or a C7. With the mark ups in my area, the GR86 Premium is getting close to 40k and I can get a decent C7 for just a little more…. I need to test drive them but I’m wondering if the GR86 will be more usable fun on the street and I’ll just be frustrated with not being able to fully utilize the C7. Unless I go to the track…

it's not a poor man's car. you are poor if you financially cannot afford the cost of the $30K price range. You could be a billionaire and buy this car. Do you eat at MacDonald's as opposed to five guys burger, and say you are poor?

Newer cars (often)....but not always are better. But coolness, we tend to go back to the older models. I have owned 28 cars....I try different cars because i am a car enthusiast, but i keep going back to the corvette. It has a look and reputation that will keep people looking at the car. C6 no question. JDM cars are treated like they are gods and they just aren’t.
