I thought this video was incredibly helpful. When buying a high performance vehicle like a GT500 with the intention of daily driving it, mpg is something to seriously take into consideration. Great video!

Some people recently tried stealing a bunch of GT500s from the factory. Most were saved because they ran out of fuel before getting to the rendezvous point.
Edmunds is averaging 13.4 mpg out of their GT500 long term tester. Slightly under the 14mpg EPA combined rating.
That's more realistic. I get 17.5 at best in my normal gt

Great Video and was very informative. So today 9/30/2023, I rented a 2022 Ford mustang 2.3L turbo and took my parents for a ride which was there wedding anniversary. It was a memorable experience she use to own a mustang from the early 70s model. I did refill the tank on the car and it took 3.04 gallons before returning it and the division on the fuel economy and got 21mpg. On the email after I returned the car I notice on invoice email that the car filled to 16.1 gallons In. When I picked the car earlier the invoice only showed that it had 15.6 gallons on board, a difference of .5 gallon. So I did the division again subtracting the difference and got 25 mpg. Let me know your thoughts on this. Thanks.

Thanks man I’m doing a road trip from Sam Fran to Seattle could anyone help me with how many km you would get out off a full tank on this I’m from australia and I’m confused by the conversation it’s a 1200km drive highway so I’m thinking I may need to fill 4 times driving respectful does this seem right ? Great video , I want to know the mileage of every car and performance etc . That is an extremely decent milage number for this car by the way . It would be a very difficult to not drive this car hard though and screw up your mileage and lose ones license. Good thing I'm poor .
I think I’m getting in the high 17’s with my Mach 1. Highway I have got up to 28 but it gets closer to 25 hwy in normal situations.

I have read and heard..from others...that when in track/ drag mode..it gets closer to 4 miles per gallon.

If being driven hard on track, that sounds about right. Most high hp cars will see below 5 at track speeds.

Gt500 has a 14 gallon tank, or a 16 gallon tank. FYI.

I have a base gt and can get 17.5 at best with mostly highway and light throttle. I wouldn't mind it, but the tank is so damn small.
If you're only getting 17.5 with mostly highway something is very wrong because that's my work commute in a cammed 392 and I'm getting 21-22
