You can adjust the key fob settings through the center console, so be sure to check that. As for the steering wheel noise, it's a common issue-take it to the dealer to have the steering column replaced.

@@onesimpledad I took mine in 2.5 weeks ago and they are still trying to fix it. They said they keep getting an error code when they calibrate the steering wheel so I am still waiting. its kind of crazy for me.
You can change how the speed limit works. You have it set to scan signs. You can set it to use a saved database table. The 4 door unlock you probably know also can be set to 4 doors. I go through fob batterys every 3 years (same with the car battery, lol) which i within the range of the average lifespan. (I use a hyperground kit to help with the heavy electronics. The motor on the seat ventilation is reverse polarity. Water intrusion? Rattles? Yikes. These are lots of problems. I've driven Acuras pretty much trouble-free the past 20 years. Good luck. Check your drain plug that may be clogged if you leave that open often.Issue on ours is the keyfob drained every so ofter like every 2-3mos we needed to change the battery on keyfobs.
Hello. Try putting the palm of your hand behind the door handle, the car will then beep/unlock. Also, check your vehicle settings and make sure all the settings are set for each key fob (key1, key2). About the auto steering wheel not moving, I've experienced myself and you are correct it's annoying. What I do is once the seats are set, I press my memory seat button and it goes into my seat settings. It's not a fix, just what I do. Thank you for your vid, I do appreciate hearing other MDXers take on the vehicle.
@Splendid_Lad yes the MPG is bad. Personally, if it had a larger gas tank, then I would mind as much. My Porsche Cayenne has awful gas mileage, but at least when I fill the tank, i get 500 miles range.
Have a 2023 S 5ype advance and don't have any of these p problems. But do a passenger and drive seat design issue, where the seats separate from the center leaving a wide gap.
The last video clip the sound when you’re driving it’s probably your roof rack or basket. Mine started making a washing sound when I installed my roof rack just the beams and I noticed I had installed them backwards facing the wrong way and then a noise went away. Maybe that would help if you installed your own roof rack make sure the arrows are pointing the correct way and you have the correct ones in front or in back. Trust me mine made a big difference after I switched them around.
Honestly, when I was driving, I think a small stone got stuck on the rotor, and it was making a strange noise. Nothing major it quickly went away after a few miles.
@ that’s so funny because that has happened exactly twice to me and it’s a screeching chilling sound and it happens every time I drove through loose gravel on the pavement that’s hilarious but yes eventually you put it in drive reverse drive reverse and it’ll just fall out
Most times that works but ever so often it doesn't and it really frustrates my wife. Brought the car twice to the dealer to have it fixed. First time they could recreate the issue second time I showed them a video of the issue and they started changing parts. Doesn't happen as much. Well thanks for watching
@@onesimpledad Hi, thanks for sharing the video! If you look at the Audi Q7 3.0T, the MPG is quite similar since both vehicles have all-time AWD systems (SHAWD and TORSEN QUATTRO). There is no point to compare the mpg with other four cylinder SUV, or X5 xdrive(it wont save your ass during winter time or rainy days) My main gripe is the gas tank size. I don’t mind the low MPG, but frequent trips to the gas station are a hassle.

So now, with the Type S, it's frustrating going to the gas station all the time.... like you said, if the gas tank was larger, it wouldn't be an issue. Has anyone who currently owns this have issues with the Pano roof cover being replaced? This is my second MDX having to be repaired for this same part/issue
I only had the water leaking from the Pano roof once. We normally just leave the cover open all the time. I'm sure if you open and close it constantly, then you're more likely to run into an issue.
I believe mine leaked only one time a year ago during the winter and then when summer came around, my truck started smelling like it was wet and damp inside. I’m pretty sure it leaked. I never noticed it just had the smell and eventually the smell went away now I’m traded it infor a 2025 MDX type S mine was just a regular 22 MDX a spec.
I I have a 2022 MDX and I have the same problem that it will not open with the controls, also with the steering wheel and also with the battery, it does not want to start, something is consuming the battery
Video tape the issues with your phone and bring the MDX to the dealer and show them the video of the issues. My dealer has fixed some of my issues only because I show them a video of the problems. Otherwise, they would just say they couldn't recreate the issue. The noise from the steering column is a known issue. Well hope that helps thanks for watching
The door handle thing I think is all you guys. First off, its a sensor you have to touch first in the center. Both you and your wife are immediately trying to pull the handle on the outside of the handle without even touching the middle where the sensor is. The cooled seats is just the design. Other brands blow cold air and some suck. Its normal. The gas mileage thing could have been partially solved if they gave it a 2 gallon larger gas tank. My 23 base mdx gets 18 on average. Some times you just cant beat physics which is why they should have kept the hybrid.
We will try your door handle solution. The gas tank size is unfortunate. We had a 2014 MDX that got 28 miles to the gallon and had a larger gas tank. when we filled the tank, it was 400 to 450 miles to the tank. Also, our old MDX never had the door handle issue. Well, thanks for watching
I've noticed that I can't open the door when the fob is in the same pocket as my cell phone. Do you have something in the area on the same frequency as your key fob? Possibly 2.4Gz? Might check with dealer.
Good point, but in both parts of the video, the key is not in a pocket and is in a hand with the only cellphone close by was for filming the video. This never happens in my Porsche or our older 2014 Acura MDX. I'm going to bring it to the dealer again for this issue. Last time, they had the vehicle a week and said they couldn't re-create the issue. Now I have 2 videos to show them. Well, thanks for watching

That wouldn’t be considered a lemon. I currently have 2022 MDX ASpec and when I first bought it brand new in 2022 he did glitch a little with the front seats and the steering now wanting to come in and come out and the door once in a while doesn’t want to open, but he just tried again and it works right away. All those issues went away. I haven’t had any issues for over two years

I have a 2022 MDX Advance, and one thing that drives me nuts is above around 75mph, the sunroof starts lifting up in the front because of the wind and it gets extremely noisy. I have to get out and push the glass down with my hand to stop it. Also, the NAV screen doesn’t remember the view height setting after you turn off the car. My 2013 Acura TL NAV always stayed where I put it.
Wow, that's really annoying. I would bring the vehicle in to have the sunroof checked out. There are definitely some things on this MDX I do not like but others that are quite nice. Luckily, I finally got some of our issues resolved. Well, thanks for watching
@ I finally took it to Acura and they agreed something is wrong. The parts have been ordered and I'm waiting for them to arrive. I also found out the rear half of the sunroof had already been replaced for the same reason. The CPO inspection should have caught this problem. If anyone wants to test theirs, go inside and push up on the sunroof when it's closed. If it moves up, in my case about 1/2" along the front edge, then it's defective. I tried the same thing on other MDX's there and they don't budge.
You keep your truck clean as whistle I had the same problem with my TLX with the key fob

Ventilated (cooled) seats don't blow air, it's just siphons heat. Most ppl don't realize that
MPG is horrible. The range is too for such a large vehicle, I would have expected more?

When you have your key with you, you can touch the door handle to unlock the car.

I have a 2018 Mdx Hybrid and want to upgrade to a Type S but God damn the mpg on this thing is horrid lol for the performance

Sunroof open or close? No way that glass roof would raise up even on 100mph if close.
