I meant to say you can charge the Feiyu Pocket 3 and Remote Handle separately or when they are joined you can charge them both at the same time via the charging port on the Remote Handle. Any more questions leave them in the comments below and I’ll answer them as best I can 🤙🙏

Great review of this tiny gimble camera. While not in my wheel house (yet), I found it very interesting and would be interested in it for my first blogging kit. Though, not sure that the digital zoom is anything that I would ever use. Anyway, again thank you, nice job and looking forward to your next video!!
Looks very similar to the pocket 2 DJI, which I have. If you have the full package on it, you have the blue tooth wireless mic, but need to use your iPhone to monitor it for best results, so I do like the magnetic removable gimbal. The DJI 2 also has, I believe 3 mic in the camera, if you are not using the wireless mic. It would be hard to choose between the 2 if you put them side by side and compare each with the full package (handles etc). Cost may be lower on this one.

on kickstarter they claimed its waterproof upto 20 meters .. would like to understand of not being weather proof. And second question is, did you experience any over heating issue ? and last ! is there any external microphone option ?
No way is this thing waterproof! Water would come into micro sd card slot for one. I did not have any over heating issues. No there is no external microphone option at this stage. Perhaps they’ll release an adapter in the future though or a third party manufacturer will.

As I said in the video. FeiyuTech supplied me the camera and handle to review. But I was not paid any money to do the review. If you are worried about the kickstarter then wait until it becomes available at your local camera store like B&H or somewhere like Amazon.

It looks a bit like my DJI Pocket 2, even the use of the touch screen. The magnetic mount is an interesting feature here and the ability to remotely control the gimbal. I never heard about Feiyu. Interesting thing. Thanks for this review. Regarding the audio during playback on the device, have you tried to swipe the screen up when replaying the record? That is how you increase the volume of the audio on the DJI Pocket Gimbal. Just a thought :-)

Hello Adrian and kind regards from the other side of the world! first of all thank You very very much for these first deeper insights into this camera. I got mine - without the control unit - just some days ago. I am a bit disappointed about FeiYu's information within the provided manuals (and their translation...) but at least I managed to get my Pocket 3 connected to my phone only noticing it needs the handle to get some "pro" features - ordered that one right away. The app simply lacks a lot of functionality in iOS so I will have to wait for the handle. Nevertheless I still have some questions. FeiYu mentions the "Y-LOG" profile for color grading and else. Do You know of any way to integrate that YLOG into Final Cut Pro (preferred), DaVinci or Premiere? Second one: Does this camera shoot while being connected to a power bank (meaning: getting charged while shooting)? Third: While being connected to a power bank - will the recording time be exceeded? How long is the maximum recording duration? Is there the typical 59:59 limitation? Thanks in advance for any reply! I am looking forward for my future city and hiking trips an my motorcycle rides. Keep up the good work!

Hi Adrian, an interesting video, especially as I'm thinking about upgrading my vlogging/video camera, for a while. The gimbal stabilization seems to be fantastic, but I'm not sure if it was just my poor internet connection at the moment, but could it be that I have spotted some artifacts? Putting it onto your camera is a cool idea, I guess this could look great when you can show a flying bird in the air and then the finished photo. Christian: It may not have been a poor internet connection but rather the video quality that it was defaulted to or set at when watching might have been very low. That’s what happened to me when I was first watching the video - when Adrian was walking outside on the trail. The video initially did not look very good but I also noticed that the video quality was at 360; a super low quality for my liking. When raising it to 720 it was much better.

Thanks for watching. I asked myself that exact same question. I noticed on the Feiyu Pocket 2 you can use a Feiyu USB-C audio adapter, but the issue with that is the mic has to be powered. The whole system then becomes less portable.
Hi, nice review. I have the impression that the image quality is a little bit worse than the Osmo Pocket but I'm not 100% sure. The magnetic mount is for sure a great feature. The remote control is nice, but can also be done with the smartphone I suppose. A question, is the joystick sensibility configurable ? On your tests it seems pretty fast.

When the camera is connected to the remote handle the microphone defaults to the handle microphone. When the camera is not connected to the remote handle (no matter what distance) the microphone is on the camera itself. I did say this in the video.

So, if you don't buy the "optional" handle, you don't get a screen. You have to use your mobile, which means no free hands. They have made the handle optional but very very necessary. Clever. Where in Australia can I buy one?

Depends on what mean? Following animals walking with them? I guess it would be fine. Having a dog sprint irratically all over the place, not so much, in fact any camera would have difficulty with that.

Thank you for watching. I have not tried this camera in low light. That is one test I forgot to do. Yes it is definitely not waterproof and personally with it mounted on the car I would not travel over 60kmh or 37mph. I'm sure it could take more, but that is just me being extra precautious.
I like the DJI pocket because it is just one piece. Same reason I didn't like the DJI Action 2. Not excited about this FT product. I generally like FT stuff, have 3 of their gimbals. Cheers
