    Most important also gate capacitance which is very important to how to drive the mosfet, how fast will be etc.

    YES, I needed this kind (noob-friendly) of explanation. Simply explained. Well done and good job. Thanks to this I was able to open up few mosfets datasheets, understand what I needed and compare for my need (and avoided major screw up in my project)
    Also, we all can appriciate CCs are made not generated. For some (like me) it's easier to read. Thank you.

    2:40 I'm having trouble understanding how Vgs can be negative for an N channel mosfet and turn on. I think the -10 means that Vs-Vg can be -10v without damaging the mosfet (and the mosfet will be in cut-off region in that case).

      Negative voltage can be used for decreasing turn off time, making it turn off faster

    @4:18 MOSFET is PTC device this statement is partially true MOSFET exhibit all three PTC,NTC,ZTC(zero temp coefficient)... depending on where you are operating

    Excuse me, may I ask something? I want to build a DC-DC boost converter, that steps 147-V voltage up into 300-V. Can I use an IRFPS40N50L which has 500V Vds, 46A of Id, and +/-30 V of Vgs? Thank you so much for answering me.

    Bro, how can we obtain the value for ' K' through the datasheet of emos. As the eqn for n-ch-emos is Id = k (Vgs - Vth)^2. I tried to find that in datasheet but not getting kindly help.
