Can I use MOSFET instead of IGBT . I try to use MOSFET that can handle 500v 50 amp with replacement of IGBT . The welding machine work fine and even better Replacement from 60N60fd1 in to FDA50N50 . And the welding machine work fine
I have a lot of igbt that I use for as transformer in switching low frequency higher dc voltage but I never you the igbt without body diodes I am thinking to buy some because they’re much cheaper but the freewheeling body diodes is my biggest issue as I read the data sheet on fast switching flyback diodes only 1 amperage I can find to buy and the data sheet said I most use another igbt or mosfets as body diodes , and then I realize why there so cheaper because it’s cost alot money to use in any circuit the flyback spike body diodes is why to expensive
Hi, I am a model engineer. I want to build a model 4 stroke petrol engine. I am trying to design an ignition circuit for this engine. But with my limited electronics knowledge I am going nowhere. Can you help me design this? I am planning to use IGBT for switch and proximity sensor for timing.
I am using sg3525 and ir2110 ics with rjh60f5 IGBT to handle a full bridge converter but the frequency of IC deturb after a while and sometimes the IGBT burn. Is my problem choosing wrong IGBT for this IC? Please help me
When you get an original IGBT that have right information as the database it's will work great . Trust me . But if you buy fake mosfet or IGBT especially IGBT . It will blowing up as fireworks . As I get it from bad quality IGBT from china low cost market. Some time they selling you the fake mosfet with original price and you can't find it until too late. You need to put the transistor into test mode with every method you have as test V and I and P and R and vsat
