My guess is December like Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. If they do stick to AC release cycle, this will give a couple months for Red to soak. Then the Star Wars fan Army will step forward and jump on Outlaws.
I have to wonder if Ubisoft thinks Star Wars Outlaws is actually competing with Assassin's Creed? They seem like they could be two very distinct markets. You have your die-hard SW fans who buy every Star Wars game but aren't interested in Assassin's Creed, and you have your hardcore real-world action adventure fans who don't typically care for Star Wars games. There probably is a sense of cannibalism at work so I think you're probably more correct than not there. I would guess AC would come out October, and Outlaws would likely be closer to Christmas.
Yeah I definitely think there are 2 very different markets for sure, in terms of the die-hards, but a large majority of the sales for any big game come from the more casual playerbase, who just want to play games that look cool, regardless of franchise. If they're too close together, they could lose potentially thousands upon thousands of sales from those who would like to buy both, but can only afford one of them. But yeah, October and December could still work pretty well for sure, I agree!
Maybe Ubisoft is still mad at Disney for leaking the release date.

Star Wars Outlaws SHOULD have been as successful as Hogwartz - but Hogwarts have one big advantage; you make your own character and going trhough a lot of comments; thats what almost EVERY star wars fan dreamed of doing in Outlaws. Such a deeply wasted potential.
So many possibilities with this game I’m excited everyone’s complaining because of the female protagonist and me I just don’t care. In fact, I think she’s gorgeous I hope we are able to visit some iconic locations from the movies as well as some stuff from deep lore

Haven’t seen too much women lead complaints, mainly the fact it’s Ubisoft and will be boring/shallow gameplay wise. We can only pray that it’s exceeds in all aspects
No one wants to be forced to play as a woman. Simple.
I think it's a stupid choice. It's a game literally titled "outlaws" and we're supposed to believe this little 17 year old is some intergalaxy spice and credit smuggler? If she's supposed to be an adult they've done an awful job at getting that across.
Am I the only who really couldn't care less about this one? It just seems so vague, and looks like it's trying to copy Jedi and Red Dead 2. There's been no news, no new trailers, no new concept art, nothing. Just seems boring and kinda childish.
They should have let us choose from a variety of species. Ill just he a bystander watching this pending car crash
Yeah, that's the reason I'm gonna skip on this one as well. It's not that it's a female, it's just the fact that if they are gonna make a SW game about crime then I want to create my own gangster, not play as some 17 year old girl with her little cat-alien thing.
