The Bible is indeed a book of religious education, and many people learned religion well before they were introduced to more secular records and forms of education. The Bible is also overflowing with common truths, and even relatively unquestionable facts. People will use their judgement regarding the represented physical reality of life, and the otherwise imaginative propaganda of imaginative fantasy. Nobody has ever really physically met God or Satan, though there are hundreds of millions who imagine that they might. Faith is an emotionally inventive expression of inductive logic where reality often has insufficient influence.
Because they bible actually has real data mixed with lots of confusion of fairy tale to deter intellects from finding key information to put human history together
We still use the name Nimrod in Egypt, we pronounce it: Namroud. and we use it to describe someone who is not grateful of the gifts he receives as in "that person is "namroud" would mean that this person is not being grateful for what he received or "Don't be a namroud" would mean don't go Nimrod mode

Nimrod is depicted in the bible as a hunter because he is also known as the first army leader of the world, his army actually behaved like a group of hunting groups that carried out their conquests as hunting expeditions. Before Nimrod, there was no army, only hunting groups. So to be a great hunter and an expert in hunting, then meant to be a great military leader and an expert in warfare.
He was at the first actually there were people during his time and before a great army leaders to stronger than him and even prior in the pre-flood World they were mighty warriors and armies and Kings worse than he was notorious for the wildness of worshiping New gods and committing idolatry like people around him and the people.

NIMROD(Nimʹrod).Son of Cush. (1Ch 1:10) The rabbinic writings derived the name Nimrod from the Hebrew verb ma·radhʹ, meaning “rebel.” Thus, the Babylonian Talmud (Erubin 53a) states: “Why, then, was he called Nimrod? Because he stirred up the whole world to rebel (himrid) against His [God’s] sovereignty.”-Encyclopedia of Biblical Interpretation, by Menahem M. Kasher, Vol. II, 1955, p. 79.Nimrod was the founder and king of the first empire to come into existence after the Flood. He distinguished himself as a mighty hunter “before” (in an unfavorable sense; Heb., liph·nehʹ; “against” or “in opposition to”; compare Nu 16:2; 1Ch 14:8; 2Ch 14:10) or “in front of” Jehovah. (Ge 10:9, ftn) Although in this case some scholars attach a favorable sense to the Hebrew preposition meaning “in front of,” the Jewish Targums, the writings of the historian Josephus, and also the context of Genesis chapter 10 suggest that Nimrod was a mighty hunter in defiance of Jehovah. The beginning of Nimrod’s kingdom included the cities of Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, all in the land of Shinar. (Ge 10:10) Therefore it was likely under his direction that the building of Babel and its tower began. This conclusion is also in agreement with the traditional Jewish view. Wrote Josephus: “[Nimrod] little by little transformed the state of affairs into a tyranny, holding that the only way to detach men from the fear of God was by making them continuously dependent upon his own power. He threatened to have his revenge on God if He wished to inundate the earth again; for he would build a tower higher than the water could reach and avenge the destruction of their forefathers. The people were eager to follow this advice of [Nimrod], deeming it slavery to submit to God; so they set out to build the tower . . . and it rose with a speed beyond all expectation.”-Jewish Antiquities, I, 114, 115 (iv, 2, 3).It appears that after the building of the Tower of Babel, Nimrod extended his domain to the territory of Assyria and there built “Nineveh and Rehoboth-Ir and Calah and Resen between Nineveh and Calah: this is the great city.” (Ge 10:11, 12; compare Mic 5:6.) Since Assyria evidently derived its name from Shem’s son Asshur, Nimrod, as a grandson of Ham, must have invaded Shemite territory. So it would seem that Nimrod made the start in becoming a mighty one or hero, not only as a hunter of animals but also as a warrior, a man of aggression. (Ge 10:8) Observes the Cyclopædia by M’Clintock and Strong: “That the mighty hunting was not confined to the chase is apparent from its close connection with the building of eight cities. . . . What Nimrod did in the chase as a hunter was the earlier token of what he achieved as a conqueror. For hunting and heroism were of old specially and naturally associated . . . The Assyrian monuments also picture many feats in hunting, and the word is often employed to denote campaigning. . . . The chase and the battle, which in the same country were connected so closely in aftertimes, may therefore be virtually associated or identified here. The meaning then will be, that Nimrod was the first after the flood to found a kingdom, to unite the fragments of scattered patriarchal rule, and consolidate them under himself as sole head and master; and all this in defiance of Jehovah, for it was the violent intrusion of Hamitic power into a Shemitic territory.”-1894, Vol. VII, p. 109.Concerning deification of Nimrod, see GODS AND GODDESSES (Babylonian Deities).
Hebrew etymologies are parochial interpretations. Nimrod, from Nebros, described a feline. It represented the Sun. Nimrod was a type of Leo. Hence, a Mighty Hunter.
That actually came from an episode of Looney Tunes! Bugs Bunny sarcastically called Elmer Fudd "Nimrod", since Nimrod was supposed to be a "mighty hunter". But the reference sailed over most people's heads, so they just assumed that it meant "idiot", and that became its colloquial meaning

Huh, that’s interesting. In English, nimrod means an inept or dumb person. That’s not too far away from what it means in Arabic. I suppose Arabic’s meaning of “unappreciative” is due to the fact that rebelling could just be seen as being unappreciative of the current government.
Cush is Nimrod's dad, which is confirmed in 1 chronicles as well. He isn't mentioned with Cush's other children bc they had different mothers. The book of Jasher says that Cush had a wife in his old age and had Nimrod.
Well done. Alexandre Hislop’ work « the two babylons » purports that Koush may have been Nimrod himself as well. But his name was « muddied » by god in order to take glory away from it. As punishment. Dig dig dig! Lol
Languages were changing by this time.Quite possible is that Sargon was Nimrod in early Mesopotamia due to language changes.Nimrod was his biblical name.
@@MissGodsChild Just an Example👇 According to the Babylonian Talmud, the Torah was given by Moses in the Assyrian alphabet, later changed to the Paleo-Hebrew script, and, again, the Ashurit script during the time of Ezra. The matter, however, remains disputed, some Sages holding the view that the Torah was originally inscribed in the Old Hebrew (Paleo-Hebrew) script. The Talmud gives two opinions for why the script is called "Ashuri": either because the Jews brought it back with them when they returned from exile in Assyria; or alternatively, this script was given at Mount Sinai and then forgotten and eventually revived, and received its name because it is "meusheret" (beautiful/praiseworthy or authorized). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ktav_Ashuri

Nimrod according to Genesis is a son of Kush who was born to Cham few years after the flood. According to LXX chronology he may have lived from 3200 - 3100 BC corresponding to the time of Enmerkar. Gilgamesch became 5. king of Erech round 3000 BC and in his late years build the citywall that has been found and dated.
Not so. At the time of the "Tower of Babel" event ALL humans lived in one place, together until God scattered them through out the world and confused their language. We have evidence of humans in the Americas up to 14,000 years ago, Nimrod was at least that long ago, Kush even further back.
It's also worth noting that in genealogy in the bible, daughters were very rarely listed. It's highly possible for someone to be a descendant of an important figure without their line being able to be traced back to one of that figure's sons.
Calling the outsiders 'Amorites' in The Bible, is also found in India (now). Any people from North India are called 'Bengali' (because West Bengal is a state in north India). Any people from south India are called 'Madrasi' (because Madras is a famous city in the state of Tamilnadu)

The book of Jasher as mentioned in Joshua 10:13 has quite a lot to say about Nimrod from his birth in chapter 7:23 through to chapter 12:70. According to the book of Jasher, Nimrod was also known as Amraphel by his subjects and princes. He built four cities in the land of Shinar and called their names after the occurrences that happened to them in the building of the tower. Babel was the first, the second was Erech, the third was called Eched, and the fourth was Calnah, because his princes and mighty men were consumed there for vexing the Lord through their rebellion and transgression against him. Anyway, it's worth checking out for yourself if you're interested in ancient history and literature. It's also one of the few books that we still have around today that is recommended reading by the bible itself in Joshua 10:13 & 2 Samuel 1:18.
Correct me if I'm wrong Nimrod was a man that went around building cities and he was well known for building cities I think she was loved for building City (but that part Could Be Me not understanding correctly). After Nimrod died his wife went and cut him into several pieces and ship them individually into every city that he built Somehow and some time after his death, his wife went and made him into a God, Something To Worship and worship him which is which started the worship of Baal

@@emmanuelo.7782 The earliest mention of the city of Babylon can be found in a clay tablet from the reign of Sargon of Akkad (2334-2279 BC) / This time line is about 130 years after the flood - which would make way more sense than Hammurabi that lived about 1776BC - more than 600 years after the flood ~ many contend that Sargon in Nimrod. Nimrod is a given name and not his birth name (also there is the difference in language to keep in mind - often throne names were used and not birth names) Nimrod was Ham's grandson, and after the flood, the children of Shem started having children at ages 30 to 35 - if Ham's generations followed suit Nimrod might well have been born within a 100 years of the flood, but because Babylon is already mentioned so early after the flood (i.e. 70 years after, albeit the dating of the tablets is ballpark) many contend that Sargon the Great was Nimrod.

Hello. So, what I want to do with this message is to simply show what the Gospel is. I am not trying to force my belief down people's throats. It's your choice whether you want to accept it. So, a question: Do you think you are a good person? If so, have you ever stolen anything, lied, looked lustfully, watched adult material? All of those are sins and anyone who sinned is not good(on God's standard). You, I and most( most because babies don't sin, and maybe specifically mentally Ill people) purely human beings have violated God's moral law. Since God is just, He can't let sin go just like that. So is there any hope? Yes, there is! Out of love and mercy, God became a human being, Jesus Christ. Jesus lived a sinless life and finally died on the cross to bear the punishment we deserve, we deserve to be punished because we have sinned. The reason why blood must be spilled for forgiveness of sins is because the life of the flesh is in the blood, in the Old Testament Jews sacrificed animals for sins but the sacrifice of animals were enough to temporarily cover some sins. (it did not allow forgiveness of sins, Unlike Jesus's, it only temporarily covered them). Jesus is the Lamb of God, the ultimate sacrifice for sins which is enough for all sins that have been done, are done and will be done. Jesus was buried and rose again. His resurrection proved that His death was enough to pay our penalty, the penalty for our sins. Jesus paid our penalty and in order to accept the free gift of salvation from God, we must trust in Jesus's spilled Blood, His finished work on the Cross for our Salvation. And then your sins will be forgiven because of what Christ did, you will be saved. Furthermore, if Cush begot Nimrod where did all the people come from to built the city of Babylon and the tower? It is obvious that there were a few generations between Cush and Nimrod.

The historian David Rohl has claimed parallels between Enmerkar, builder of Uruk, and Nimrod, ruler of biblical Erech (Uruk), who, according to some extra-biblical legends, was supposedly the architect of the Tower of Babel. One parallel Rohl has noted is between the epithet "the Hunter", applied to Nimrod, and the suffix -kar at the end of Enmerkar's name, which means "hunter". Rohl has also argued that Eridu near Ur is the original site of the city of Babel and that the incomplete ziggurat found there is none other than the Biblical tower itself. (Legends: The Genesis of Civilization (1998) and The Lost Testament (2002)) - Wikipedia
All those names are meanings of the Nimrod. The reason they have different names is because God changing their language. They speak of the same person but have different names for the different languages
Sargon and Hammurabi are not the same person. Either one of then (someone else) may be the one identified as Nimrod in the Bible, but they are not the same individual.

I can appreciate the video but since you said there's such a lack of evidence almost everything is speculative and since we lost so much of the history from that time, I'm fairly positive it relates to an older King. Regardless great stuff!
There are more details in the history books of the time the bible was written such as the book of Jasher and the book of Enoch which are not in the bible but they are important history records of this timeframe. The book of Jasher tho its not in the bible there are 2 references to this book in Joshua 10:13 and in 2nd Sameul 1:18. If you read and study the books of Genesis thru Deuteronomy and find many details that seem to be left out but know that more is known about certain details and wonder how these details were known, its not just speculation but was actually recorded in these history books of this timeframe. These books arent in the bible but they have enough significance that they are referred to in the bible and both books are worth reading once you got a good knowledge of the first 5 books of Moses (Genesis thru Deuteronomy).
I was thinking the same way, it fits, Meskingasher was the first king of the land of Kush just like Kush the father of Nimrod in the Bible was the founder of the land of Kush
My dear son child you are one heck of a detective I don't know how many times I've heard all those stories in different books and different applications and you brought everything together you are doing one heck of a job I admire them bravo
Awesome! No fancy-dancey guesswork or “definite” guesses here but a simple laying out of facts and logical history. This kind of “historical” documentation uses logic and leaves open possible new info to update the present findings
The Bible was directly inspired by God. He was a mighty hunter BEFORE the Lord. What is written in the Bible is the literal truth and all you need to know. He was the first to lead an ORGANIZED REBELLION against God. He was a hunter of people’s souls carried thru most rulers from then on

Hey Michael, great video. Any thoughts on the evidence for Nimrod as being Enmerkar? I did a multi-part video series on this on my channel and based on the timing aspect alone, I'm convinced Sargon cannot be Nimrod. Same goes for Hammurabi and Amir-Sin, among others. Yet, I find that there's incredible positive evidence for the Enmerkar equivocation. Some of the evidences are: -both lived in the 3,000's BC during the Uruk Period after the Flood -both are crediting with building the earliest cities in Shinar/Sumer after the Flood -both are Sumerian kings, specifically credited with being the founder of Uruk/Erech -both are credited with building massive structures in Eridu/Babel -both used the same construction technique (mud brick with bitumen) -both building sites were abruptly abandoned at the same time -both were renowned as being hunters -both have an incredible name connection Encourage you to look into it. I think you would be compelled by the interesting connections! God bless.
There's also the awkward fact that despite being the founder of the center of Sumerian power, he was never deified.. Almost as if he had something rather embarrassing happen to him.
Researching further, there actually is a powerful-yet-unknown king from Uruk III - earlier than both of these examples - who matches the Biblical Nimrod almost perfectly. He’s depicted on stelae discovered by Agnès Benoit as a bearded man with a headband wearing a bell-shaped skirt, is represented fighting wild animals on tablets like the “Stele of the Hunt” found at Uruk, and is also found in numerous victory scenes. Half of his name has also been deciphered, and, sure enough, that first half of his name is the “en” glyph. So it goes without saying that this so-called “Priest-King” is probably Nimrod.

These posts caused me to watch the debate. It was a mess. In typical Hovind fashion, if you don't agree with him (because he reads everything in the Bible the correct way), you're going to be judged. I can say that I've never been able to read the Bible the Kent Hovind way and I don't feel I need him to explain things to me either. He kept "calling IP back" and I felt compelled each time to say: "Look away! Don't even be tempted! You've already escaped. Just keep running!" Fortunately IP found no interest in anything Hovind had to say. :-)
@@nickwilliams9450 That's what ticked me off the most. It could have just been Hovind and IP debating, but Hovind kept throwing in the "Once you agree with my side of Genesis, you'll be saved again!". Really unnecessary on his part.
Very nice video. I've subscribed. There are a couple of interesting things about Nimrod from the Jewish tradition. One is that he has another name (Amraphel) and appears elsewhere in Genesis (the battle in 14:1). _Amraphel_ is loosely translated from Hebrew into "he said, 'fall'," because he hated God so much that he tried to "bring Him down." While listening I also realized that the name _Amraphel_ seems linguistically similar to Hammurabi. The other is that according to Judaism Nimrod's son is also identified as Eliezer (Abraham's confidant and servant), which means that he went to battle against his own father alongside Abraham.
That's utterly false amrapel via nirmod is after long long after Hammurabi and nimrod or nemrad as he's truly called is based off the Jews and long Nebuchadnezzar in post Babylon times after their exile same is true with Terah nimrod's friend and Abraham the main guy along with Sarah and Esau and Jacob and ham and shem and noah directly without argument he's Babylon origin Noah is as is Cain and Abel motifs and influence and Adam eve garden and your false god Yahweh Babylon origins and post Babylon with Yahweh creation corruption and stealing from MRDK and His Holy Creation of the World. Genesis 1-3 and job and psalms and Daniel and others rip off MRDK's Glory and Holy Whim of Making the Cosmos.
I was thinking in the same direction with my own research. Still, my gut says Nimrod/"Rebellious-One" was a bit before Sargon and Hammurabi, but basically just like them. Also, the vague reference given to him in Scripture seems to indicate that the author meant for him to be an archetypal figure of some sort. I don't know what to make of that right now. Definitely a great video!
yes i agree with you hammurabi is 1750 bc and sargon of akkad 2350 bc, i believe it has to be 2400 bc or further back reference a great channel called history explained
But in verse 8 he is mentioned as his father directly ....Genesis 10:8 - Cush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one on the earth". Cush was Nimrod's father, the Bible is clear on that
Very interesting presentation, thank you for your effort. I would add a third possibility and that is Ninus (Nino Belov), about 2270 BC, originally from Serbia from the Nibrod tribe. They called him a giant hunter and he conquered all the way to India and founded the city of Nineveh. He said he was the son of the god Bell (Baal). He fell in love and married Queen Semiramis. He ruled for 52 years (?).
This is quite interesting to know because my tribe Yoruba mention they came from Nimrod and my mother told they came from India original and descendant of great hunter....present day Southern Yoruba very good in hunting till today...

Surprise! That's actually my real name. It actually means hunter, by the way. I think you can imagine the annoyance when I make a public comment on something.
I still think it was Enmerkar. Kar in what I assume was Sumerian means Hunter. The passage describes Nimrod as a great hunter BEFORE THE LORD. then mentions how there was word around the known world mentioning how people would say this. My speculation is this was sort of an insult to Yahweh. Maybe because Yahweh is a fisher of men, Nimrod could be a hunter of men. Sending men to hunt people down from tribes to build the ziggurat of Eridu. He is also said to have been the one to build the ziggurat of Eridu that was never completed and abandoned. He also built Uruk and was a king there. He is also on the sumerian kings list. Sargon of Akkad is as well, but he was actually just a cup bearer to the last king on the list of whom I believe he eventually assassinated.
@@fredgillespie5855 Epic of Gilgamesh is Nimrods story of himself (mostly made up of course). Also, knowing that Nimrod was the first "sun god" you can apply that to other false religions and begin to realize who he and Semiramis are in these new religions. Some religions add split goddesses of semiramis (Athena and Aphrodite, Kali and Durga) and there is an image (stone) of Inanna or Ishtar that has her standing on top of two lions (Durga on top of a lion), and two owls next to her (Athena or Minerva Owl). Since Inanna (Semiramis as an ancient "goddess") had contradictory traits, we see why many religions split her into two. While also doing that, they keep her as one of the main "goddesses" and her son being Nimrod or Tammuz, the false reincarnation of Nimrod. Read the Bible, know that Nimrod and Semiramis started the first false religion which branched out into the world as different false religions after Babel, take all stories of Nimrod with a grain of salt because of course he tells lies, and know that they have multiple names.
@@fredgillespie5855 Also, Josephus has a couple writings of Nimrod and how he built the tower in case another flood happened (grain of salt, but it makes sense), and we see that God promises Noah that He would not flood the earth again, so Nimrod was already outwitted by the Most High.
This was fascinating and draws us into this ancient history. It is just by the analysis but the care IP takes in presenting it. Understanding the language we use is relevant when we are shaped by it, and understanding some of the words in it when they have been around for a very long time, and they refer to people and events that still have an impact on us helps us understand our culture. It is incredible to think that we have and refer to the Code of Hammurabi, for example, being case law (as I understand it) that may well already have been old by the time of his death in 1750 BC, though we take it to be his. To put that in some context, common English law (again, as I understand it) being oral, not written, referred to case law that was from within living memory, ie perhaps one hundred years, being as far back as someone's father or grandfather could remember. When laws started being written down, "time immemorial" was used, and is generally taken to mean the coronation of Richard I in 1189. The Code of Hammurabi is nearly 3000 years older than that date! To bring this "closer to home": bread, which had been made in the region before then, was one of Mesopotamia's main food sources, which we still consume in great quantities today, more than 4000 years later!
I have serious problem with this video. Too many “could be’s” or “Possibilities” In this video. There is no direct Understanding about Nimrod. At the very beginning of the video the guy attacks other mythologies. However, he present his own theories and mythologies. By stating it could be or possibility confuses and just makes Nimrod more mythical character than Reality.

Problem is, everyone wants to place the beginning of Sumer before the beginning of Akkad. While it was the other way around. Sumer was started by Kassites, they were the remnants of Nimrod's original empire. When the tower fell these people moved South into Sumer, which was at the time swamplands due to receding ocean levels. The empire of Akkad started in the exact same place as Nimrod's previous empire(Northern Mesopotamia). Only the capitol was moved from Babili to Agade. There is an old Assyrian inscription that tells us Sargon had the ruins of the tower of Babili moved to his new capitol Agade. If ancient Akkad is where the ruins of the tower once stood after it was dug up from Babili, then Sargon was the first empire builder AFTER Nimrod.

According to the Babylonian Talmud, the Torah was given by Moses in the Assyrian alphabet, later changed to the Paleo-Hebrew script, and, again, the Ashurit script during the time of Ezra.

Correct me if I'm wrong
Nimrod was a man that went around building cities and he was well known for building cities I think she was loved for building City (but that part Could Be Me not understanding correctly). After Nimrod died his wife went and cut him into several pieces and ship them individually into every city that he built
Somehow and some time after his death, his wife went and made him into a God, Something To Worship and worship him which is which started the worship of Baal

Some of the evidences are:
-both lived in the 3,000's BC during the Uruk Period after the Flood
-both are crediting with building the earliest cities in Shinar/Sumer after the Flood
-both are Sumerian kings, specifically credited with being the founder of Uruk/Erech
-both are credited with building massive structures in Eridu/Babel
-both used the same construction technique (mud brick with bitumen)
-both building sites were abruptly abandoned at the same time
-both were renowned as being hunters
-both have an incredible name connection
Encourage you to look into it. I think you would be compelled by the interesting connections! God bless.

I was thinking in the same direction with my own research. Still, my gut says Nimrod/"Rebellious-One" was a bit before Sargon and Hammurabi, but basically just like them. As always, great work!
There's an internet personality who calls himself Sargon of Akkad.
Nimrod was Nimrod. Uruk and the building of the Tower of Babel. Nimrod set himself up as a King to be worshipped and was a great great grandson of Noah. We are all from the 3 sons Shem Ham and Japheth. After the Global Flood year and the animals that came off the ark would have included dinosaurs . You would certainly be called a great hunter or jaeger if you were Mighty.and as the Bible suggests promoting himself before God. An evil man who led a rebellion against God.
There is no doubt that Nimrod is biological Descendant of Kush ( Ethiopia)
Which Ethiopia all ethiopians are not kush Exsample Tigre amhar,,,,,,,
@@asadmohamudmohamed7701 there is semetic language in Ethiopia but they all descended from kush
Ok but Nimrod is such a cool name, and what a badass mug he's got. Wish I could name my son after him
I've always been blown away on how Hollywood doesn't make any interpretations in film of this era. The myths and legends around it all are the most perfect forms of content for retelling in film. It seems very intentional to me.
NIMROD=NOAH's great grandson=Mighty Hunter=Builder of the Tower of Babel
well you wish , but in reality its fake . that tells how shallow knowledge you have . Nimrod is not the name of a man . The real name is NINO BELOV , HE WAS ARYAN AND SERB THE KING OF WELL ORGANIZED ASSYRIA AND I LLIRIA AND MANY OTHERS . NINO BELOV WAS THE FIRST CONQUEROR ON EARTH WITHOUT BLOODSHED .
@@lorenmilesarsicarsic5724 The main source of my "shallow" knowledge is the Bible!May I ask what is the name of your politically correct source??Do you even acknowledge that there was a Noah,a Flood,& a tower of Babel or are you gonna say that the Bible is fiction? If the latter, don't bother to respond!!
I suggest you read the book of Jasher talks about nimrod in detail. In Maccabees 1 and 2 are good books to read as well it's all about the Apocrypha which means hidden books

Yeah, Nimrod was a nickname where I grew up, too, but it had a different meaning.
Nimrod is all of them because when God split the languages everyone went away talking about the same person in different languages...70 to be exact
All you have is these verses?? That is a lie! There is so much proof about him in history and this is the best you can do?
References please.
Carl Benjamin may be Nimrod.
What about the book of Jasher? The story of Nimrod is much deeper

Wasn't really a sinner after his journey and the specifics don't quite add up either
Naram-Sin was Nimrod
Empire builder? So Heisenberg then.

If you read Jasher, you would learn alot more about Nimrod.
Exactly! Right
Yep.
You mean the outright forgery that claims to be the book of jasher?
As Peter James Ledwith points out, the actual Book of Jasher (more accurately the "Scroll of the Just/Upright") referred to in the Hebrew Bible is lost to history. No manuscripts of it have ever been found. So, if you are reading something that purports to be the Book of Jasher, it is a forgery, a farce, a fraud. You have been duped. You will be far better served sticking to the genuine, scholarly, peer-reviewed research conducted by actual learned experts in their respective fields of study.

Considering that there are readily available scholarly compilations and translations of Sumerian, Akkadian, Ugaritic, Moabite, Hittite, Phoenician, Hebrew, Aramaic, Egyptian, etc. texts that have been found through archaeology---ranging from massive monuments and murals to archival documents to shipping manifests to grocery lists and receipts to business transactions to spells and incantations scribed on tiny scrolls and stored in amulets/lockets---and seeing as there are also similar publications of Second Temple Jewish literature, and even of the late Gnostic texts found at Nag Hammadi, you can rest assured there is no great, conspiratorial cover-up of some mystical Book of Jasher. If there had been a legitimate discovery of that book, I can guarantee you that it would have been made available to the public. But it hasn't been.
