    Mesopotamia is the homeland of the Assyrians. The famous royal cities of the Assyrians, Ashur, Nimrud (Kalhu), Arbela, Dur-Sharrukin and Nineveh were built in it. The Assyrians ruled for approximately 1,300 years - from about 2000 B.C. to 612/10 BC - in northern Mesopotamia (now Iraq, Syria, Iran, Turkey), an ancient landscape between the Euphrates and Tigris rivers. A clear reference to the existence of the Assyrians, on the other hand, can already be found in the Old Testament (1st Book of Moses 2:14).
    There it says:
    * “… the name of the third river is the Tigris, which flows east of Assyria. The fourth river is the Euphrates..." ❤️🤍💙

    Semiramis was a great empress. But she lost to an Indian chieftain (Not even a King). But it's understandable. But her remaining conquests were amazing.

    • @samvsist5535
      @samvsist5535 9 місяців тому +6

      True. Funnily, her attack wasn't even recorded by Indian writers of their time. Similar to what happened about Alexander. This was impressive to watch nonetheless.

      @@samvsist5535 Thats because Indians never recorded a battle they find to be not impressive especially when a local chieftain fight with an opponent however big he is.

      @@phoenixj1299 Or simply there were no records of such battles taking place in India. Under Cyrus the Great and Darius the Great of the Achaemenid Empire they conquered all the way upto Jhelum river, which means most of Pakistan and all of Afghanistan fell under Achaemenid territory, at the time this was Indian territory. The persians talk of India and the kingdoms in it a good amount, they even had a large Indian population in their empire who were either from the conquered Indian regions or were traders. Indians were even enlisted in Persian army. But there is not even one record of the Achaemenid Empire by the Indians, that dosent make any sense. There are many records of large empires like Nandas in India but none of foriegn powers. The Achemanid Empire had a population of 44% of world and 50% of world GDP per capita with 2.3 million soldier army (10 times the size of the Nanda Empire one). This was one of the greatest superpowers to exist yet India has not a single record of it? That dosent make sense. Nor did Indians record in detail Alexander invading and breaking past the Indus. But then everything changes after Mauryan Empire comes to power and in detail foreign empires are described, the Selecuid Mauryan war is the first we get of foreign invader refferance in India from that time. So it seems prior to Mauryas, Indians simply didnt record history that well. Cause you really cant omit an Empire like the Achemanids who had a 200 year presence in India.

      Its a myth. There are no written records of this fight.
      If there was a fight b/t the two it would have had been recorded since all indians rulers like to brag about their victories.

    What an amazing historical figure! The real Queen Semiramis ruled the throne 811 - 806 B.C. until her son became old enough to take over. And, no, she didn't marry her son. It was her legacy that enticed Alexander Hislop to unite her with Nimrod - who lived thousands of years earlier, tarnishing her name and her legacy.

    Great as she was. She lost two thirds of her army against the Indian king, Stabrobates (Satyavrata).
    'She ruled Asia effectively and added Libya and Aethiopia to the empire. She went to war with King Stabrobates (Satyavrata) of India, having her artisans build an army of false elephants by putting manipulated skins of dark-skinned buffaloes over her camels to deceive the Indians into thinking she had acquired real elephants. This ploy succeeded initially, but then she was wounded in the counterattack and her army mainly annihilated, forcing the surviving remnants to re-ford the Indus and retreat to the west.[21]"

    I think you very much, and I’m proud of you to bring this up. Good job … Why. Is the word we always ask and always we thought about it , and Why we still scattered all around the world away from our beloved country. We gives the knowledge to the world , and inspired other people , we are the cradle of civilisation, and we still scattered. We have the flag , we created the alphabet And the writing, we have the knowledge and we don’t have the land, it is few questions left to ask , how & when we will have have our land back are we waiting for another Shameram to fight for us? Why? we do have them they need help.
