So much for those “ big boy pants” you put on. This really says more about you than the seller. There were many valid points made in the comments. One being having a professional appraiser, two some things should be dealt with off camera. Also you yourself said it was a good deal regardless of any idiosyncrasies. The frame supports the body. Those brackets are secondary to the main structure. Just like any of the rust issues you identified, they can be dealt with later. Get on with your journey home and enjoy the adventure. I for one didn’t tune in to hear you complain. If you are smart, You’ll start your adventure home fresh with out this episode.
I guess you missed it. The seller is a professional car appraiser as in being one should of been more honest. Said he wasn't under the car, then said he was. That threw the red flag for me.

Perhaps you shouldn't be consuming 'reality' media via UA-cam. Chad handled that perfectly well. He gave that POS every chance to make it right. He bobbed and weaved throughout the whole conversation. Any honest person would have simply said. "Sorry. I'll make it right and refund your money immediately. I'm 50 miles away with my wife. I can be back home in 1 hour and 15 minutes with your money. And I'm terribly sorry for the inconvenience. Would you let me reimburse you further by compensating you for your motel and airline costs?". He's a 60 plus year old auto appraiser and knows full-well that the onus is not on Chad to contact the mechanic. He is the persona that got 'wronged', he merely was passing the buck to Chad. Which is why I called him a POS. Telling Chad that his problem was with an unknown mechanic associated with an unknow company that signed a bogus certificate at some point in time, is bull$hit. You know it, we know it, Chad knows it and so does the seller.
Chad concerns were inaccurate. He might as well called and complained about a missing muffler clamp . To be that far over the top on something he knows little about, makes you wonder .
Chad, my opinion is those are running board mounts and not body mounts. I don't think Larry was trying to deceive you in any way. He offered to take the car back and refund your money. He was selling the car with the belief the Certification Certificate was legitimate. The issue with the running board mounts is minor problem. Take it back or repair and keep it!
You are mistaken. Larry did not claim the car was certified. Only that it had been certified for a prior sale a year earlier, as opposed to sitting in a barn for half a century.

He should not be an appraiser if he missed all the rust repairs done to this car. If it is properly appraised as a rust free car it needs to be put up on a hoist and carefully gone over to say what kind of condition it is currently in. If you watched the video of Chad putting it on a hoist at home and see how bad the work was done on it and a certified appraiser missed all that. I doubt it very much.

I don’t know what video you were watching, but Jolene said the only reason she decided to go was because of the inspection and no money needed just turn the key and start taking it to car shows and the guy also said in the video if I recommend the car there is no rust and there is nothing wrong with it. Now Chad did notice the rust at the guys house and was being a gentleman about it and left with it. He stewed over it all night long at the motel, then went back out and looked the car over again I’m sure because he was upset all night long and noticed the body mounts were gone and this is a car with the inspection certificate. Everything was misleading in the ad. Now everybody that watches Chad and Jolene show sit back and watch how nice he makes the car and it will be right when he’s done and you know it. He’s got a good reason to vent now leave the guy alone.

I think you need to give Larry the benefit of the doubt here. I don't think he was trying to pull one over on you. He knew damn well this whole thing would be filmed, I don't think he would have tried to pull this stunt knowing it's all on film. I think he was duped by the guy before him. I don't think Larry is unscrupulous what so ever , the car is 76 years old,.the mounts were probably lost when it was painted in 1980 if not before then. I have a large collection of old cars,some are ok some are choice. I don't know what Chad paid for this Ford,but that would a factor! The body mount could be easily repaired for $ 50.00

Chad on that car there are a total of 27 body mounts, the 6 you were complaining about are strictly for the running boards, so yes the car can be certified as "road worthy" so calling and complaining to the seller over 1 missing running board mount and one missing a bolt, and talking and treating Larry like you did, was 100% wrong on your part and you absolutely deserve to call Larry back and give him a sincere apology. Dude, seriously one way to loose a whole bunch of subscribers, its one thing to do it in private, its a whole different thing to tape it and do it on this platform !!! A '42 to '48 Ford has 17 points where the frame bolts to the body. None of them are what Chad had noticed, which is a running board mount. The body mounts on the side of the frame rail (there are 4 per side) are at the top of the frame, not visible in the video. There are also 3 at the "X", two in front of the rear axle, and 4 at the rear of the frame. This car is not likely to fall apart any time soon!

Then he was completely honest and let you inspect the car even giving you the opportunity to crawl under it with a light. Now you turn on him and call him a liar! I just read in the description that the safety was over a year old, if that’s true then he misrepresented the conditions of sale. Safety is only good for 36 days in Ontario, the description says it was safetied by the owner previous to Larry.
I don’t know much about those particular cars, but it’s hard for me to believe that a car that’s this nice otherwise would have body mounts completely gone like that. Something just doesn’t seem right about it.
Watch the video again of the car and look to see where the running board's are this year car don't have running board's? They are body mounts. You read a comment of someone that don't know the year's of car's.

Seriously, only a real jerk mentions the word lawsuit right off the bat like that. Wow. I can’t believe the seller was that patient with him after saying that right away. And Jolene was egging on everything Chad said and did here so she’s not innocent either. She’s the one that was really suggesting legal action several times. This was just awful to watch and so disappointing.

As again what makes you think this year of car has running board's? It's a body mount they went on it was certified it's safe to drive it home. It's no big deal Chad can shove a piece of tire in between the body and mounts.

If the Nova Scotia inspectors thought his stuff was on the road after the fab in public all that liability will come out in a claim or road infraction like your steer horn mod killed the ped not car design as intended. Some police here will send a vehicle to inspection even if insurance will let you plate it. Like homemade fence rail harley chopper front ends LOL! Chad, the seller wanted to work with you by either by getting it fixed or refunding your money. It did not have to be confrontational. These things happen and yiu fix it.
It wouldn’t meant his death, for a couple mounts out of how many? And he’s right the The responsibility is with the mechanic that performed and signed that safety certificate. And it would probably be a simple repair for the mechanic to do, it didn’t need to go this way. And I’m curious to find out if it’s even a body mount and not a running board mount, which Chad doesn’t even know at this moment. I feel bad for the way Chad is treating this guy, perhaps he doesn’t understand how things work in Ontario. Bring it back to home and get your money back like he said, I’m sure he’ll have no problem selling it to someone else. I did not like watching this video at all.
The guy selling the car was very genuine . Running board mounts are not structural . I was always taught to keep my mouth shut until I know what I am talking about .
Oh dang this was like watching a slow motion car crash ... difficult to watch but couldn't look away. I don't think the guy was trying to pull the wool over your eyes. It's a shame you wanted to turn the situation into a drama for the cameras. I thought this road trip would be more about rolling with the punches and dealing with issues as they inevitably arise. Plenty of other ways to deal with the situation like going on a new adventure to a wrecking yard or local workshop to do some running repairs and meet some characters. That would have made for better viewing instead of the kinda stuff that leaves a bad taste in everyone's mouth.
Check it out closely again, Chad. Make sure it's "Body" mounts, not running board mounts. I had a '46 coupe and the mounts, where you showed them were the running board mounts that I removed myself. I don't think, by the tone in Larry's voice, he was scamming you or wanted a battle. He said he'd take it back. I'm just going to pretend I didn't see this video. Sorry!
They look like the running board mount and that noise he complained about on the first video could have very well been the movement of the running board.
I really enjoyed watching this channel until this episode. The seller is obviously an honest guy who relied on the inspection report. Shame on you for treating the seller the way you did. He offered more than once to give you your money back and you would not let it go. Done.

@@david888a I re-watched his first video. He does mention some of the rust issues and you can tell it gives him pause but he moves on. Later he explained that he wasn't happy about it but given that fact the money was fronted and the car looked and ran good, decided to suck that up. I think that would be a normal reaction. It would be a deal breaker for some, but not for others. What other 47 are you going to find after all. It's when other issues started to be found that start to quickly compound. No one likes feeling like the sucker.

Chad & Jolene, you guys should have handled that far differently. Chad, if you know yourself and you know how angry and irate you can get then have Jolene handle the call/interaction. Larry didn't seem like a guy who was trying to rip you off, he got upset with you because of the escalating tone/conflict. You'll catch more flies with honey than with vinegar, so it be kind, be calm and give people the benefit of the doubt. If it turns out that you overreacted and those are running board mounts, you guys will look like the fools, Larry will have every right to suggest you made him look like the bad guy. Watched all this, man! poor Larry, the guy will be so stressed. His day ruined. He even offered a refund as well as the Garage location of certification. Easy enough to drive there and get clarification. Mate you are out of order. The guy was genuine, he knows you will be all over the car when you get it home.

I feel bad for Larry. Nothing worse then selling something to someone and them expecting a warranty for it. Your warranty is YOU inspecting it. And if you're not mechanically able to. Then get someone who can. And the fact they aren't even body mounts but skirt mounts make it all the worse. The best thing to do is call Larry back and apologize profusely . And say it was the stress of the long drive home and lack of sleep maybe.
Unfortunately you lost a subscriber on this one (i have been watching for 2 years), i didn't see your other video but your apology was ok at first but seemed to have caveats; after this video I can only deduce how that other video really went. You are in the wrong here for a few reasons, not body mounts in the first place, you assumed he intentionally sold you a car knowing it was improperly safetied....you looked it over yourself, you are accountable. Didn't like how you behaved or how you treated the man, who seemed extremely genuine. Doing that publicly was in very poor taste.
Chad both my husband and I watched. I understand that you thought the seller MIGHT have been nefarious but it seems to have been an error that could have been worked out. You lost when you began to berate that man that wanted to work with you. This is the second time this week you have gotten really upset.

She was sitting right beside him mentioning lawsuits and other nonsense and did she ever once say “hey maybe you/we should calm down honey” or anything to that effect? No. We didn’t get to see her part in the last fiasco, but in this one she certainly played a big part in making it worse. Chad kept looking to her for confirmation that he wasn’t overreacting and she kept egging him on making it worse, and she hung up the phone. She should’ve picked the phone up and tried to calm tensions down and mediate a solution. They both came off as extremely childish in this video and it was hard to watch.

I like watching this channel, with Chad doing his work. When you buy old vehicles there will be problems. The last couple videos Chad has shown a side that I don't want to watch. It's bad enough that TV has shows with drama. This channel is becoming that way.
I disagree. U buy a car for 20k+ and u notice a major component missing after going threw an entire spiel of it went threw rigorous inspection and was gone over thoroughly i think id want my money back as well. As a buyer spending that much money u want what u are paying for and thats just that

Grilling the salesman over an issue that 99% of people wouldn’t even know was there when 99% of people believe a mechanic’s safety certificate. Urgh
Chad, 100% wrong, A, it was certified and has paperwork to prove it. B, you personally looked at the car and had the opportunity to get it inspected yourself before you bought it. C, you drive it away, there’s no one to say that the bolts didn’t fall off or break after you took it (very unlikely but still a possibility)

Nope, the "certifier" , and the Owner , if he knew this was a dodgy certification, are responsible, the Certifier can get in a lot of trouble for falsely certifying a vehicle...
Chad said that the bolt in one of the mounts did not have a threaded hole to go, thats interesting. The other mount could have rattled out during travel, unlikely for sure but it is not worth getting the boxers in a bind. This channel seems to be going down some to me, might not be as excited to see the posting as much if this continues.
He said he would give you your money back 3 times. Make up your mind. The certification is irrelevant. It is what it is. Either take it back to him or fix it. It's not a hard fix. I feel you should have got Jolene to talk to him. You made a mountain out of a mole hill. Sorry but your communication skills definitely need some work.
At some point every channel runs into the Drama Problem. If you don't get ahead of it, you will be consumed by it. I've enjoyed watching Chad with his get-r-done attitude, which has made me much less afraid to tackle projects that intimidate me. For that I thank him. But if the content becomes overshadowed by drama, hasta la vista baby!
I see no wrong doing on Larry’s part. Larry was trying to accommodate Chad and address his concerns, even to the point of refunding his money. Chad let his anger overtake his rationale thinking over missing running board mounts. I feel bad for Larry for having to endure Chads anger rant.
Sorry but there is enough blame for both parties. Knowing someone from 2000 Km away is flying in and driving home I would have made sure the vehicles was ready for the road. Now with the information in Chad and Jolene's update they say the certification was only good for 36 says. Now how does that work? Seems to be the standard Ontario system where it's expected you do your registration and everything during that period. Seems like a very poor system.
Those mounts will not affect the drive home, only a minor issue, I think you could have handled that differently, was kind of disappointing to see how you reacted. Remember it's almost an 80 year old car not a new one.
I have to say a little more, in this case I feel like you were ready to just walk away from the situation Chad and it seemed like when you disconnected us Jolene was wanting you to call him again. You guys should not put confrontational videos out there because many of your fans do not like it and the last situation is still to fresh. It is not worth loosing your viewers over a couple mounts that you can fix in an hour. 1/2 the people on here are saying those are unused running board mounts, either way this is not a big deal for you Chad.
Larry is a good guy your unprofessional by not properly and thoroughly checking the car on a ramp and all paperwork that came with the car . It’s an extremely old second hand car and will have many skeletons in its closet . Your problem for not doing due diligence . Completely unprofessional . No good crying . As soon as money has changed hands that’s it you take what you got no crying ! He even offered you your money back for gods sake . Larry is a legend .

Very Poorly handled Chad , Fuck it lets make him look like a ding dong ? Larry didn’t try to rip you off ! Even Mechanics can make mistakes. I agree that the mounts should be there however the mechanic was more than likely focused on the mechanical aspects like steering, brakes, tires,suspension etc. you yourself said that you were not worried the body was gonna fall off. I from my armchair dont really think it was a real safety concern and I am going to suspect from those photos that those mounts have made it through several safety checks which does make me question if in fact they are structural body mounts or simply running board mounts . Jolene I have to tell you you did seen to be instigating things a bit , I get that your siding with Chad and taking his knowledge of cars as Chad is correct in his thinking about the mounts however the whole situation should have been handled so much better. Even when Chad is in the shop creating his art he tends to get ahead of himself, not thinking things through before he realizes it. So in real life situations like we seen today, he gets ahead of himself and goes off the deep end on a guy that was more than accommodating to sell Chad his car. While assuming these were body mounts .
Chad, it is quite possible the mechanic missed the mounts. I don't think your seller intentionally meant to "take" you. He didn't know the mounts were missing and he did offer to take the car back and refund your money. I think you jumped the gun. Did you get/ask for the certificate? Did you see it? I think the mechanic needs to have the opportunity to answer to his certification. I think you may have blown your chances to negotiate anything with your seller....I think you could have taken care of the mounts and negotiated something with the seller to make it right. You also had the opportunity to inspect the vehicle and you did miss it while there. I don't think you got anywhere by posting this video. It didn't help you had no way home. Again something that could have been negotiated for a partial refund... Just my opinion.
The "mechanic" didn't "miss" anything! Larry didn't say it was certified. He said it HAD BEEN CERTIFIED at the time he'd bought it. Each sale requires a NEW safety inspection.

Chad, cool down. That mount is likely for the running board. It will not affect the car or the way it drives. Look on the inside of the frame for other mounts.
When he’s not actually sure himself what it is, then asking some questions would be a good idea before you start talking like that about the guy, who seemed quite genuine, you build cars I’m sure it’s not a hard fix. But either way your reacting on a moment, without a lot of other thought. Still love the show, you and Jolene are still enjoyable to watch, just think you need to have some questions answered before blasting someone on you tube.

So much for those “ big boy pants” you put on. This really says more about you than the seller. There were many valid points made in the comments. One being having a professional appraiser, two some things should be dealt with off camera. Also you yourself said it was a good deal regardless of any idiosyncrasies. The frame supports the body. Those brackets are secondary to the main structure. Just like any of the rust issues you identified, they can be dealt with later. Get on with your journey home and enjoy the adventure. I for one didn’t tune in to hear you complain. If you are smart, You’ll start your adventure home fresh with out this episode.

Perhaps you shouldn't be consuming 'reality' media via UA-cam. Chad handled that perfectly well. He gave that POS every chance to make it right. He bobbed and weaved throughout the whole conversation. Any honest person would have simply said. "Sorry. I'll make it right and refund your money immediately. I'm 50 miles away with my wife. I can be back home in 1 hour and 15 minutes with your money. And I'm terribly sorry for the inconvenience. Would you let me reimburse you further by compensating you for your motel and airline costs?". He's a 60 plus year old auto appraiser and knows full-well that the onus is not on Chad to contact the mechanic. He is the persona that got 'wronged', he merely was passing the buck to Chad. Which is why I called him a POS. Telling Chad that his problem was with an unknown mechanic associated with an unknow company that signed a bogus certificate at some point in time, is bull$hit. You know it, we know it, Chad knows it and so does the seller.
Chad concerns were inaccurate. He might as well called and complained about a missing muffler clamp . To be that far over the top on something he knows little about, makes you wonder .

Chad, my opinion is those are running board mounts and not body mounts. I don't think Larry was trying to deceive you in any way. He offered to take the car back and refund your money. He was selling the car with the belief the Certification Certificate was legitimate. The issue with the running board mounts is minor problem. Take it back or repair and keep it!
You are mistaken. Larry did not claim the car was certified. Only that it had been certified for a prior sale a year earlier, as opposed to sitting in a barn for half a century.

He should not be an appraiser if he missed all the rust repairs done to this car. If it is properly appraised as a rust free car it needs to be put up on a hoist and carefully gone over to say what kind of condition it is currently in. If you watched the video of Chad putting it on a hoist at home and see how bad the work was done on it and a certified appraiser missed all that. I doubt it very much.

Now Chad did notice the rust at the guys house and was being a gentleman about it and left with it. He stewed over it all night long at the motel, then went back out and looked the car over again I’m sure because he was upset all night long and noticed the body mounts were gone and this is a car with the inspection certificate. Everything was misleading in the ad. Now everybody that watches Chad and Jolene show sit back and watch how nice he makes the car and it will be right when he’s done and you know it. He’s got a good reason to vent now leave the guy alone.

I have a large collection of old cars,some are ok some are choice. I don't know what Chad paid for this Ford,but that would a factor! The body mount could be easily repaired for $ 50.00

A '42 to '48 Ford has 17 points where the frame bolts to the body. None of them are what Chad had noticed, which is a running board mount. The body mounts on the side of the frame rail (there are 4 per side) are at the top of the frame, not visible in the video. There are also 3 at the "X", two in front of the rear axle, and 4 at the rear of the frame. This car is not likely to fall apart any time soon!

I just read in the description that the safety was over a year old, if that’s true then he misrepresented the conditions of sale. Safety is only good for 36 days in Ontario, the description says it was safetied by the owner previous to Larry.

And I’m curious to find out if it’s even a body mount and not a running board mount, which Chad doesn’t even know at this moment. I feel bad for the way Chad is treating this guy, perhaps he doesn’t understand how things work in Ontario. Bring it back to home and get your money back like he said, I’m sure he’ll have no problem selling it to someone else. I did not like watching this video at all.

Oh dang this was like watching a slow motion car crash ... difficult to watch but couldn't look away. I don't think the guy was trying to pull the wool over your eyes. It's a shame you wanted to turn the situation into a drama for the cameras. I thought this road trip would be more about rolling with the punches and dealing with issues as they inevitably arise. Plenty of other ways to deal with the situation like going on a new adventure to a wrecking yard or local workshop to do some running repairs and meet some characters. That would have made for better viewing instead of the kinda stuff that leaves a bad taste in everyone's mouth.
You may even have viewers that live nearby that would be happy to help out ...well at least before they watched this 😂

@@david888a I re-watched his first video. He does mention some of the rust issues and you can tell it gives him pause but he moves on. Later he explained that he wasn't happy about it but given that fact the money was fronted and the car looked and ran good, decided to suck that up. I think that would be a normal reaction. It would be a deal breaker for some, but not for others. What other 47 are you going to find after all.
It's when other issues started to be found that start to quickly compound. No one likes feeling like the sucker.

Larry didn't seem like a guy who was trying to rip you off, he got upset with you because of the escalating tone/conflict. You'll catch more flies with honey than with vinegar, so it be kind, be calm and give people the benefit of the doubt.

I feel bad for Larry. Nothing worse then selling something to someone and them expecting a warranty for it. Your warranty is YOU inspecting it. And if you're not mechanically able to. Then get someone who can. And the fact they aren't even body mounts but skirt mounts make it all the worse. The best thing to do is call Larry back and apologize profusely . And say it was the stress of the long drive home and lack of sleep maybe.
Unfortunately you lost a subscriber on this one (i have been watching for 2 years), i didn't see your other video but your apology was ok at first but seemed to have caveats; after this video I can only deduce how that other video really went. You are in the wrong here for a few reasons, not body mounts in the first place, you assumed he intentionally sold you a car knowing it was improperly safetied....you looked it over yourself, you are accountable. Didn't like how you behaved or how you treated the man, who seemed extremely genuine. Doing that publicly was in very poor taste.
Chad both my husband and I watched. I understand that you thought the seller MIGHT have been nefarious but it seems to have been an error that could have been worked out. She was sitting right beside him mentioning lawsuits and other nonsense and did she ever once say “hey maybe you/we should calm down honey” or anything to that effect? No. We didn’t get to see her part in the last fiasco, but in this one she certainly played a big part in making it worse. Chad kept looking to her for confirmation that he wasn’t overreacting and she kept egging him on making it worse, and she hung up the phone. She should’ve picked the phone up and tried to calm tensions down and mediate a solution. They both came off as extremely childish in this video and it was hard to watch.

I like watching this channel, with Chad doing his work. When you buy old vehicles there will be problems. The last couple videos Chad has shown a side that I don't want to watch. It's bad enough that TV has shows with drama. This channel is becoming that way.

B, you personally looked at the car and had the opportunity to get it inspected yourself before you bought it.
C, you drive it away, there’s no one to say that the bolts didn’t fall off or break after you took it (very unlikely but still a possibility)

Chad said that the bolt in one of the mounts did not have a threaded hole to go, thats interesting. The other mount could have rattled out during travel, unlikely for sure but it is not worth getting the boxers in a bind. This channel seems to be going down some to me, might not be as excited to see the posting as much if this continues.
He said he would give you your money back 3 times. Make up your mind. The certification is irrelevant. It is what it is. Either take it back to him or fix it. It's not a hard fix. At some point every channel runs into the Drama Problem. If you don't get ahead of it, you will be consumed by it. I've enjoyed watching Chad with his get-r-done attitude, which has made me much less afraid to tackle projects that intimidate me. For that I thank him. I see no wrong doing on Larry’s part. Larry was trying to accommodate Chad and address his concerns, even to the point of refunding his money. Chad let his anger overtake his rationale thinking over missing running board mounts. I feel bad for Larry for having to endure Chads anger rant.
Sorry but there is enough blame for both parties. Knowing someone from 2000 Km away is flying in and driving home I would have made sure the vehicles was ready for the road. Now with the information in Chad and Jolene's update they say the certification was only good for 36 says. Now how does that work? Seems to be the standard Ontario system where it's expected you do your registration and everything during that period. Seems like a very poor system.
Those mounts will not affect the drive home, only a minor issue, I think you could have handled that differently, was kind of disappointing to see how you reacted. Remember it's almost an 80 year old car not a new one.

I agree that the mounts should be there however the mechanic was more than likely focused on the mechanical aspects like steering, brakes, tires,suspension etc. you yourself said that you were not worried the body was gonna fall off. I from my armchair dont really think it was a real safety concern and I am going to suspect from those photos that those mounts have made it through several safety checks which does make me question if in fact they are structural body mounts or simply running board mounts . Jolene I have to tell you you did seen to be instigating things a bit , I get that your siding with Chad and taking his knowledge of cars as Chad is correct in his thinking about the mounts however the whole situation should have been handled so much better. Real Chad? He and Jolene bought a ‘certified’ car. The car has an illegal certification. I would be pissed after traveling that far as well.
Even when Chad is in the shop creating his art he tends to get ahead of himself, not thinking things through before he realizes it. So in real life situations like we seen today, he gets ahead of himself and goes off the deep end on a guy that was more than accommodating to sell Chad his car. While assuming these were body mounts .
Chad, it is quite possible the mechanic missed the mounts. I don't think your seller intentionally meant to "take" you. He didn't know the mounts were missing and he did offer to take the car back and refund your money. I think you jumped the gun. Did you get/ask for the certificate? Did you see it? I think the mechanic needs to have the opportunity to answer to his certification. I think you may have blown your chances to negotiate anything with your seller....I think you could have taken care of the mounts and negotiated something with the seller to make it right. You also had the opportunity to inspect the vehicle and you did miss it while there. I don't think you got anywhere by posting this video. It didn't help you had no way home. Again something that could have been negotiated for a partial refund... Just my opinion.
The "mechanic" didn't "miss" anything! Larry didn't say it was certified. He said it HAD BEEN CERTIFIED at the time he'd bought it. Each sale requires a NEW safety inspection.

Chad, cool down. That mount is likely for the running board. It will not affect the car or the way it drives. Look on the inside of the frame for other mounts.

When he’s not actually sure himself what it is, then asking some questions would be a good idea before you start talking like that about the guy, who seemed quite genuine, you build cars I’m sure it’s not a hard fix. But either way your reacting on a moment, without a lot of other thought. Still love the show, you and Jolene are still enjoyable to watch, just think you need to have some questions answered before blasting someone on you tube.

Also, it could be the mechanic who built that car is also the safety inspector of that car. Chad builds cars for a living and he should basically know what to look for. Caveat emptor.

I think Chad is basically a decent guy , when dealing with people he needs to give himself a little time to study the situation,laughing at someone never goes well when in disagreement.
