Great series of video for the Firebirds/Camaros. Looks like Scosche does not make the SAC653 anymore. Going to have to find a another one before I put in my new JL's
I have a 2002 Firebird convertible. When I use the fade button on the radio and switch it to the back speakers there is only a very low amount of treble coming out, no bass or anything. I tested the power to the connector and it has 4 hot wires going to it that read 5.8 volts. The small door light on the plastic panel doesn't work. Someone cut the wires and installed a 25 amp fuse for some strange reason. There is no power to either one of those wires but it does look like the correct wires (blue and white, and white), but the blue is running from the speaker area and not the front of the car. Should the connector have 4 hot wires running to it with the key on and the radio on.
If my speakers are shot. Can I just buy the same kind of speakers and connect them as just a replacement for the old ones???? Meaning can I just put the stock oem speakers because the old ones aren’t working anymore! Thanks bud
With looking at the speaker I removed, how can I tell which set of wires go to the mid speaker and which set goes to the high? I have a 2002 convertible camaro. I bought 2 sets of NVX VSP65' s. I wanted to use the factory amp for right now though
@@smokeypupper6145 I just bypassed the whole harness altogether. I ran all knew wires up from the amp. It was a lot of work but it is better gauge wire now also.
Parts used linked in the description of the video!
You are a real life saver I’ve been looking for a while for something that actually shows me how the panel comes off!
Great video !!!! Very well explained !!!!

FYI - Had to mute the test as it was a copyrighted song. Sorry!

I have a 97 convertible firebird and i dont have the monsoon set up. I have the slightest clue on what I should do. I'm trying to do the same setup
Same boat here
It should be easier no amp to hook up to just wire them to ur factory wire that go to ur stereo.
Can you still use the rear speakers in hatch back section to get all 6 speakers

Which ones did you end up using?

I'm a little bothered by the lack of shoes in the video. I shouldn't be, but I am.
This literally only applies to convertibles.
