I'd never really thought about it before, but it just struck me why more men aren't asked why they haven't had any children by a certain age, because I know a woman can't produce a child without some help. I do get you about a man and woman in a purely platonic relationship often being assumed to be lovers or married, because I'm disabled without a car, and the woman who gives me rides to appointments and to buy groceries is always mentioning to her that they think we're a "couple", but no one ever says anything to me.

When I was 30, I found my dad in his bed, dead at 67. It was devastating, absolutely devastating. Wow, I'm 60 now, and writing those first two sentences made my heart pound and to feel a knot in my stomach.
Back to my experience. I had to go to the store for some essentials, I'm in produce and this moron walks up to me and says, "Come on, you'd be even prettier if you smiled!" My heart is racing again, it still makes my blood boil! I had no intention of telling this sexist ass anything about my life, plus I knew I'd cry if I spoke the truth. I looked at him and said very as calmly as I could "How do you know that I wasn't just told I have cancer?" Any other time I would have enjoyed the looked on his face, but at least I know he never asked that stupid fucking question of any other woman for the rest of life. Please never say that to any woman, ever. It was polled as the number one most hated thing that men say to women. Granted, that was a few years ago. If today's social media is any indication, that number one spot may have something completely different now, lol.
