I wanted to make a study guide series for GED math that covers everything you need to know to pass in just 2-3 videos, and this is the first in that series.
Please note that I can’t guarantee that just by watching the videos in this series you’ll be ready to pass, but I want to give you my best shot. It’s up to you to decide if you need more practice and lessons after that (many test-takers probably will need additional work), but the potential to pass just based on the videos in my study guide series is there if you understand everything. If you're aiming for a very high score, this video will still be helpful for you, but please be prepared to put in some extra work outside of these videos.

I am so terrified. i have been working at my ged for the last year almost two years. Math is my last test and ill have my ged, IF i pass. i am so scared x0

I started watching your GED practice videos a little over a month ago. I had one vision in mind and that was to pass my GED. I wasn’t sure if I could pass every subject the first time due to me being out of school for almost 10 years. I’m proud to say I passed my GED and I am officially a high school graduate! Dropped out of school in 2001...just passed my math test and finally got my GED...for anyone struggling out there, you can do it especially after watching these videos cause I could not have done it without this channel..these vids did more than just provide the skill set, this channel gave me the confidence I needed to pass this test and I did! I am a 46 year old mom. I was in nursing for 5 years on and off cause I was a single mom. I was on the path to finishing and taking my nursing board exams and only had 2 semesters left when the school lost its accreditations and closed. Got the opportunity to transfer my credit to a different school, but they need me to have a high school diploma or GED and wouldn't expect an international high diploma. I worked hard and didn't give up and relied on your videos. I did it. I passed all 4 subjects on the first try. Thank you so much Parker you are an amazing teacher. Your style of teaching is easy to understand and follow. I took my math today . I passed. I would have loved to have gotten a higher score if I had only devoted more time to studying. I passed on the first try. I only studied your Part 1 through Part 3 Math study guide and it did the trick. May God continue to bless you in all the wonderful things you do.

I’m 38 yrs old and found out my high school diploma wasn’t a real one! I “graduated” in 2002 so have to take my ged. I’m super upset about it but to go back to college now it’s a requirement. I’ve passed all 3 parts so far Math is next week. I’m nervous and scared. I see that you’ve help allot of people so I’m thankful I found your videos. Wish me luck guys

Hello, I passed all my 4 ged tests :D. Thank you for your videos, they were beneficial, especially the math videos, I watched most of them, and let me tell you, all this practice did pay off. My advice to anyone passing the math ged test is to watch all 3 Ged math study guides videos and tackle any subject they didn't understand and also watch the practice videos and of course practice. With work and determination it is very easy to get there I believe in you .

Congratulations on your new baby! Just passed my Social Studies, Science, and Language Arts tests. And now starting on my math studies, your videos are excellent and super easy to understand. The last time I was in school was back in 1987, I had to relearn everything, my goal is to finish and pass my GED test this May 2023

1:15:40 Quick trick, if you know the diameter, just use PI x Diameter. You don't even have to divided it into the radius number and use 2PIxR to make extra steps.

Thank you for all of these videos. I took my math test on the 19th and passed on my first try with a 161. I'm finished and can put all of this behind me now. Looking forward to not being a temp anymore and getting hired into my job.

I'm on my last test, you helped me pass science and social studies. I'm aiming on finishing this the beginning of May. This was the one subject I struggled on but I was super close on the practice test just needed 4 points, so not far away but still enough that I need whatever help I can get. For #5, I just think about multiplication and division as equal priority and you just go left to right - whichever comes first, do first.

i need a new job which i was asked to bring in my GED which got me stressed out until i got mine from someone my sister told about and thats DEELSCAFE💯.
I am retesting for the third time this coming Wed! The test is crucial and not exactly what I expected from watching all different kinds of videos to get this stuff! I'm hoping to pass and put this behind me ugh God help me!

for number 10 ( 59:30 ) you could find the answer faster by multiplying $11.92 by 1.08 and $12.87 by 1.15 instead of 0.08 and 0.15! that way, you won't need to add the new value onto the previous number. it's similar to what you would do for simple interest questions!

I have a question regarding the question at 1:00hr mark. I've always struggled with fractions and one of the things I don't understand is whether I multiply or divide the fraction? These questions are always a hit or miss for me and I don't know how to properly solve. My problems are what number do I put first (11.98 or .08) and do I always multiply the fractions? If you can't get back to me on this it's fine! I've understood everything else so far and the video is very helpful, thank you!
I managed to breeze through the other exams without studying, but dang is there A LOT to learn and study for math. I've tried a few other websites including the actual ged official study course but they only taught stuff like multi step equations

Can I know what did you get mostly in maths?
@@shabbu1999 it was mostly reasoning problems (I did not apply any formulas at all) and linear equations (find the slope, find the formula). I recommend you watch all his math videos because it’s pretty accurate with the test itself.

1:26:00 I might be mistaken here but I think the answer is February… the line dropped to 45-ish . That’s the lowest/ most decrease
Hi, thanks for watching. You're correct that the line dropped to about 45. However, it immediately goes back up to about 50, which basically cancels the drop out. Think about it this way--with money as an example. Imagine if you started with $50, then spent $5, leaving you with $45. Now, imagine someone gives you $5. This takes you back to the $50 you started with. Then if someone gives you another $10, you'd be up to $60, so you'd have a net increase in your money even though you lost $5 at the start. In short--the graph hits 45, but goes back up to the point where there's still a net increase for February.
I want to get a college ready score. I’m mostly worried about my math. I’ve been burning out on it. It’s all I can think about. I want to get accepted into Purdue and get a masters in psychology. I’m recovering from ocd, and this is what my calling is. I want to help people, inspire hope to those who need it, and I’d love to write a book.

This video is really helpful omg you have no idea.
But I just have to leave a tip for the people to solve the water quest faster. We see that all the answers go for a dollar except one so we can try 4+4 is 8 and if each bottle was a dollar that's already more then all the answers so it makes sense to be the 87¢ kinda a cheat way to get the answer right but hey it saves time
i love your videos but after you explain the problem can you also explain it the easiest way i love the videos but its definitely easier ways to do it for us slow ones like me im currently taking the math passed all the other ones

I just gave exam last week and I got 144 that was my second try I am feeling so messed up what should I study now my third try is next week 😢
you almost got it tho 144 just focus on the topics you dont understand youtube them and learn/practise those if you want to go over all topics there is a khan academy GED playlist made by florida literacy on youtube short videos which you can go over fast and focus on topics that you didnt learn well
Hey. My calculator. Same as GED one. Will not give me the square root of 724 like you did in a problem. How did you get the 27?
i have a question on 1:15:52. how did you calculate the formula to get 15.072?. also on 1:21:21, how did you calculate 724 to get 27?
Circumferance formula is 2πr
2×3.14×2.4 (2.4 is radius because diameter of this circle is 4.8)
and you will get 15.072
27 comes frome √724 (actually it is 26.9)
And the reason why √724 because of "c²" so if you want to find "c" you have to use this √
( c is stand for hypotenuse )

For question #3. what if the base numbers (2,3) were switched up and not the same as the other equation
ex: (2 x 3) ( 4 x 2)
Do you still use the same base, do you add or subtract?
What kind of calculator should you take any advice ?
that is true the easier questions are at the beginning and at the very end your harder questions are in the middle of the tests

Do you have videos where you use a TI-30XS calculator? It would help tons with understanding how to use it. Online GED testing doesn't have the best utilization for note taking. So solving equations on paper is impossible. I've been looking for calculator videos all day
