@@leangelawynn9974 i wasn’t able to pass it on my first try only cause i was so nervous i doubted myself, i failed by one point which honestly made me mad but when i went back the second time i ignored everything and just trusted my gut. i passed the second time which was a big relief, everyone is different and my experience might not be the same as yours but the best advice i can give you is to just trust yourself, and study lol
I wanted to say "Thank You. I am 66 years old and just passed the Math section of the GED test on the first try. The Math section was the last section I needed to obtain my GED and I was dreading it and scared of failing. I took and passed the Language Arts, Science, and Social Study the previous week, passing all of them on the first try also, by using your channel to study. Your channel was the reason I passed all the test, I can not tell you how much it meant to me to find your channel. Please keep doing what you are doing it really meant a lot to me and I learned and it helped me remember (after 50 years of being out of school) how to successfully do the math. I started and passed all the test in just 9 days, using your videos. Thank you again and God Bless you and your family.
I'm in the same boat... im 59 and going back after leaving the work force in 1988... pass all of the ged tests with no problem, but the math is killing me. My test is September 22 2023, and I've been watching this video over and over. Fingers crossed. Congrats on passing... you're never to old to learn new things. 🌺

@@TestPrepChampions also I forgot to mentioned that in my two math exams the vast majority of the questions were Word Problems, which is what I struggle the most unfortunately.
I'll tutor you. Post here a problem you can't solve and I'll show you how to do it.
Try to google words for definition, also learn to use the calculator that is a great tool
I just passed my math test thanks to you i was having serious anxiety before and during the test but I actually ended up passing!! Passed all my GED courses thanks to these courses on my first try. Thanks for helping. I honestly thought I failed the test today and was considering retaking them but as I waited for my bus I got my results and I passed. Thank god I never have to do this again. Now college. The harder and more annoying test lol.

Hi, thank you so much for your videos. How do I know with the description in the problem that I need to apply the Anual Percentage Rate in this specific case, (1:25:01). All the time that the problem reads invested it means that I need to divide by 12 months??? Thanks again.

Hi! For the combinations question. Why do you have to multiply 4 x 3 x 2 x 1? So if n =3 would I do 3x3x2x1? Please answer I would appreciate it
Hi! Thanks for watching and for your question! This is the standard way to solve combination problems. The reason why you do it this way is kind of complicated and this video explains it better than I can ua-cam.com/video/wKgiSUnbLxE/v-deo.html . For the purposes of the GED test, you don't necessarily need to understand why the formula works, just how to use it. To answer your second question, if n=3, then yes, you'd do 3x2x1. I hope this helps!

I’m studying for the math portion it’s all I have left, I have a question at around the 10:00 mark the question about the cheese combinations, what would happen if the total number of objects was let’s just say 10. Does that mean you’d go 10x9x8x7 and so on? Or are questions like these they only use low numbers such as 4?

A question like this could be any number, not just a low number like 4 (although I highly doubt they'd give you a big number like 800). I hope this helps answer your question. I have failed the math test 4 times - 143 points, was going to take the test this Friday but changed my mind, I passed the other 3 GED test on the first try, the math test is really frustrating because I study, watch videos and just don't pass :-(

I'm practicing for my upcomming test, but at 12:23 I'm distracted because how the question is worded makes me feel like it should be *inclusive* of picking two of the same cheese when that's not an answer and the equation says you can't

For the question on which pairs of decimals should the fraction be between, why would you not just convert the fraction to a decimal? Unrelated, thanks for making these videos. I'm hoping to get my ged in a few months so I'm trying to figure out now how difficult the math will be.

@@patronzulfan Someone who took the actual test suggested that you study slope and graphing equations, add and subtract numbers in scientific notation form, combinations and permutations, functions w/tables and word problems, finding the slope, finding the area and circumference of a circle...
Gosh I feel bad telling you to study all of this, but it is what I've studied. Just study everything you need to brush up on. No need to study it if you already know it well! Good Luck!

People said that most of the questions on there is also on the actual ged ready test and it’s what I’m studying now!

This test cares more about deviously tricking you with answer choices & throwing smoke bombs in word problems, than actually testing you about solving what actually matters. It’s the most upsetting thing ever. One day I feel like I have it down then the next day it feels like I don’t even know what to do just because of the devious trickery. I just want to enlist in the army man. why do I need this trap of a math test? :((((
… if anyone is willing to offer 1 on 1 tutoring i am willing to pay. Im dirt poor working a full time job at 21 caught in a rent loop, but im willing to pay for the tutoring just to be able to pass this expensive test on the first try. I really want to enlist in the Army. Someone please consider.

Mostly all these questions are very similar to the ones on the real test , so this would really help if you’re studying to pass GED math

Question Mean media mode and range, don't you put the numbers in order so the median should be 8, not 3?
Hi, thank you for watching. Yes, 8 is the correct answer for the median, which I stated at about 30:35. At about 29:48, I explained that picking 3 without ordering the numbers is a common mistake. Totally & completely lost during this entire video. It's so complicated, I can't imagine how I could ever pass this math test. It's like listening to an alien language honestly....

Half of this stuff you can plug into the calculator instead of doing a long drawn out problem learn how to use the tx-30 calculator it’ll help a lot with quadratic equations and stuff
I'm 17 nearly 18 and I'm close to finishing my GED practice tests. All I have now is the math practice then I should be good to do the real thing. One problem. I don't like math. I don't do math. You lost me the second you started explaining. I don't know wth a power is or what the little numbers mean above the others. I'm screwed, I know I'm gunna fail it, but I've known that my whole educational life. I can't do division, my body is physically uncomfortable around schooling on top of ADHD. I passed language arts, I passed social studies, I passed science with flying colors, but math is where I fall from my high horse. Don't be like me. I wish everyone luck, and do your absolute best. Even if you feel it isn't good enough.

If I fail today I’m gonna snap 😂😂 I got a 143 without being in school for decades a 143 again after 5 months of study and a 144 on my last attempt I’ve spent two. Months on geometry and algebra and I feel hopeful 10am is my test time
How did you do? This is exactly the same for me, I got a 143 twice and a 144 the last time. I retake today in a couple of hours. I’m so nervous I passed the other 3 first time
On the diameter question I got 9 not 14 I’m confused
This is killing me I have things I wanna do this sooo bad

Parker, How is a person suppose to pass when they have been out of school for over 50 yrs.? I would have to go back to the very begining to get a grasp on the math, it is all foreign to me, never seen it. David Coleman really put the screws to the people when he decided to re write the exam.
Can you show0 us in a simpler format because the test doesn't ask us to show our work

I’m going to fail idk what else I can do besides GED. I Passed all my other subjects but this one feels impossible I have a better chance of randomly becoming a millionaire than passing the math
