I'm here because I have tryouts for high school on Monday and I suck at field hockey but wanted to do it in my freshman year Edit: I made the team!!!! this video really helped and I have my first game on Wednesday 😁
Thank You for this great introduction - my 8yo son just started the hockey training and parrents also take part in some fun training activities to be an positive example for youngsters and have fun together. I find your drills very helpful and will definitely follow! Good work Mr.!
Do you happen to know if there any lessons available for beginner adults in Northern California? Most of the adult opportunities I found were for playing on teams only (for those who already know how to play from their youth). Thanks in advance! :)
I was expecting, from what he said at the start, that this coach would show us how to hold and use a hockey stick with appropriate grip and ball positioning in relation to the feet and the stick. But no. This presentation was actually worse (incorrect instruction about a static positioning of the left thumb) than half of the dozens of similar attempts to coach these points I have previously seen on UA-cam and elsewhere. I post a video I made more than seven years ago, which gives some insights into the flexibility of the 'grip' required to control a hockey stick while dribbling. ua-cam.com/video/oY7trQ2VFf8/v-deo.html

Really helpful instructions !
Great video 👍🏻
A quick question, are you a right handed or left hand??
right handed - it's all the same in hockey, we all play the same way.
I'm still learning hockey bro
Can you do a video for the defenders please
Yes, we are filming part 3 this week which teaches tackling - should be released in the next 10 days
What if you're right-handed?
No problem, you'll get used to it very quickly
Video starts at 2:20
Good one
Thank you! Cheers!
Hi where is part 3?
Right now - today!
Wow
Thanks

"field" hockey? ....... it's just hockey mate.
Haven't you ever heard of ice hockey?
It's definitely the only kind of hockey for me - but in some countries you need to distinguish between field and ice.
@@mutsawashe Yes, and played it. But it is NOT hockey.... it is ICE hockey.
@@vitalhockey1461 That is why the slippery version is called ICE hockey and our version is just called hockey.
@@jonathanhodgson2659 It is not WATER its iced water vibes
Actually u do look younger than u really r😂🤷🏾♂️
