Almost took the whole motor out! You saved me a ton of work thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the Video!
Man that’s great news thanks for the information
It was not easy but I found the exact video I needed right here
Yes it did, I have been searching for where that sensor goes for over a year. Replaced one in passenger head and still have same issue. Will be replacing this one ASAP
Thank you
You're a lifesaver man I was about to junk my shit.. thank you
Thank you. Guess I've got to dive under the car to find it. I'll let ya know what I find. My engine is different but that still tells me where to look.
Got a thumbs up from me.. sheesh they’re starting to hid the replaceable parts now I see thanks man!
Thank you bro
You’re welcome brother
Nooooo thats the OIL temperature sensor…
That is an engine Oil temperature sensor, code for that comes out as p0198 or
p0197.
Wondering the same
Wat about the p0128? But it’s not the thermostat? Some one told me it was the ect sensor?
Thes sensor looks like, engine oil level sensor.
At 00:50 in your video. Why is the hot water valve's vacuum tube stuck on the valve's actuation shaft instead of on the nipple out front where it belongs ? Your AC must be working it's butt off trying to compensate for the constant hot water flow to the heater core.
First of all - all of you that disagree with this guy that he is looking at the oil pressure sensor.... I called a Ford dealership because I was trying to find where my coolant temp sensor was on my 2007 Expedition and they told me that some models have the oil pressure sensor that ALSO gives the coolant temperature as well, so this guy is right about the functionality of the coolant temp sensor. UNFORTUNATELY I have to edit my original comment to sadly tell you that I took my 07 Expedition to my mechanic, and he and I looked and looked, but absolutely cannot find the coolant temp sensor. The sensor located around back of Oil Filter location is the oil pressure temp sensor and not the coolant temp sensor, and the reason I say that is because the part number that Ford gave me according to my VIN is a part that is completely different from the one behind the Oil Filter. I called another Ford Dealer and they told me the sensor behind the Oil Filter is the Oil pressure sensor, and the coolant temp sensor is located on the Drivers side of engine around the exhaust manifold - but unfortunately my mechanic and I looked and looked and do not see any sensor at all in the location given. If Ford has hidden this sensor, they have surely done an incredible job hiding it. I am not giving up yet because according to Ford This Expedition does have the Coolant Temp Sensor, so will have to keep trying to find it and may have to actually take it to a Ford Dealer to find it but just simple can't afford the cost I am sure it will be, so if anyone has a 2007 Expedition and has successfully located the coolant temp sensor - Please Please let us know - or I will update this when I have success myself in finding it...
Nice comment. Thanks for helping everyone else.
@@conquryourfear I unfortunately have to say that I was wrong on my location of temp sensor after all (read edited comment above). Why does Ford have to hide these so well???..
Its on the oil pan towards the back
@@fixitdude9748 Thank you Cee Los, but I have looked all over the oil pan and there is no sensor. I will look again, but I have had two mechanics try to help me find it on the oil pan and around the exhaust manifold (according to Ford) but to no avail.
Do you have a rebuild?
04-05 have them for sure. Oil temperature sensor. I wonder if ECU uses it to precisely calculate fuel and timing????? Or just shuts things down if things get really hot.
Probably the latter
Im looking the ECT as well. Not the one on the passenger side under the intake on top of cylinder head , not the one on the side of the oilpan. Not the cylinder head sensor under the intake. Where?
Hi, when you replaced your engine coolant temperature sensor, did it clear your p0119 code? My husband and I had that code pop up on our scanner as well. We have an 06 Ford Expedition. We're really not trying to have to replace the sensor on top because we don't have the money right now with all that's going on. We're hoping that by changing out the same sensor you did, that it will clear the code.
Hello did it clear the code? I need to replace mine as well.
@@kinte101 My husband's friend disconnected the battery for a couple minutes then connected it again. After that the code went away. We put the sensor on anyway since we had already purchased it and our vehicle was used. Hope this helps.
Trying to find location on a 2004 Lincoln Aviator....thanks !
Oil temperature sensor
would it be same place on a 02 5.4 triton on a excurtion?
Do not know the answer to your question. Problem is, they moved it’s location many times
@@conquryourfear THANKS ill find it....hopefully
Did you get a engine temp data error msg on your dash?
Had a check engine light on. One code. That coolant sensor issue.
Did it work?
Can't find it i seen it on the diagram also called ford said its on the bottom on the side pan dont see it at all I've been look around for 2 hours now damn thing
Does this affect the a/c?
Not that I am aware of
well sir..are you sure thats where the coolant temperature sensor goes.. i thought that was the oil temperature sensor..
So did I. It’s must be just the year 2005
Thanks. Do you know the location on a 2004 Ford Expedition 5.4?
Did you get a answer….I’m looking for mine
My temperature climate control doesnt have power , what's the cause Sir
Buy a new one?
Thats a oil leveling sensor
No
Incorrect
How so?
@@conquryourfear There is no way a sensor stuffed into the oil pan measures coolant temp. Physically not possible in this universe
@@mickkulin8207 I know. It’s crazy
Damn it Ford...plastic...REALLY?
