- Have you ever noticed that there's a label on food packaging that states "0% Trans Fat"? What is trans fat exactly? In this video, Yvonne Choo explains the chemistry behind trans fats and their health impacts.
Video by Yvonne Choo, an undergraduate chemistry student from the Universiti Sains Malaysia.
There's a lot moe interesting chemistry to be explored with these trans fats, don't stop with a surface depth exploration.
Good video!
Why did you throw in a frame between 8 and 9 seconds that says exactly what it says at the bottom of the screen at the time?
What is the host eating...she looks like shes 12💜💜
Thank you . so simple
Are there naturally occuring trans-fats in our bodies?
Oxidized small partical LDL is probably the closest thing to Bad Cholesterol there is... Look into it.
I like chem and love biology I wish there was a vid on how it raises bad cholesterol, biologicaly down at the cellular levels and the how it affects the endocrine system, of everyone like me and you, maybe there are books -_- I don't like books I like fast vids of people who have read books on what the studies show lol I should read... my problems sorry jk read the first 3 lines again
There is no good or bad cholesterol... Cholesterol is cholesterol
I'm not saying you can't call these things good or bad cholesterol if you so wish to. I'm saying that it's extremely misleading wording and fools the public into believing LDLs and HDLs are indeed the cholesterol molecule.
Not all Trans Fat is partially hydrogenating oil. Milk and animal meat has natural animal fat in them, which is a natural form of trans fat, which isn't the same thing as man-made partially hydrogenated oil. ;)
That's extremely awkward wording. I think we need to do chemistry terms better justice. Cholesterol is a unique steroidal molecule. Calling other things like LDL and HDL "cholesterol" just confuses the general public.
Tumblr makes so much more sense now -_-
