I was going to buy a Camry but with with the increase of car price inflation I'll be keeping my older Corolla for a long time... Thx Toyota for your super reliability!
I am a mother of two young drivers. I bought corollas for my kiddos! My daughter who is very simple still drives her 2006 Corolla. Low maintenance cost highly reliable. She is not interested in buying a new car. She loves her first car that she drives now. My husband bought another 2018 Corolla in preparation for giving it to our son for his senior year in high school. I got Hyundai Elantra for myself. 2018, engine stalled us in 2019 si verdict was to replace the engine. I changed that to model 2020. I give chance to Hyundai. With my experiences with Toyota corollas, low maintenance, low gas consumption, I will stick to Toyota. I LOVE TOYOTA! Thanks for your review.
For all the people who say their Corolla is not good in snow and rain: I have a 2015 Corolla S Plus. It is my first car and I live in NJ, so I watched some UA-cam videos on winter driving to be prepared. The sum total of my video watching and direct experience is if you are stuck or slow to start in the snow, turn off the traction control if you have the button (mine is near the cup holders) and shimmy the wheel until you get traction (though I seldom need to do that part.) Then turn traction control back on once you get going. I am an Uber driver and have driven in many snowstorms like this. I specifically chose the Corolla because of its reliability and performance in snow. My aunt, a lifelong Jersey girl, had a 1990 L and 2004 S and always lived in remote areas that were slow to get plowed, and she always told me there’s just nothing better than a Corolla for driving in snow. It can be done. Like I said I do it every winter with all season tires.

I recently switched from a 2017 Corolla LE to a 2021 Camry SE. Both vehicles obviously have their pros and cons. If you're interested in a Corolla they have excellent fuel economy and they're great for single rider's. However they're not exactly the best vehicles for winter weather or even rainy weather. They're not exactly the greatest when it comes to bad weather. The Camry is more spacious and smoother with more comfortable seats. I don’t care about the materials much. My wife and I bought a Corolla and loved it, except for one thing that prompted us to finally sell it: It was terrible in the snow and even rain. At times this was dangerous. E.g. our on-ramp to a local state route (Rte 9 in MA) has a slight up-hill slope. And I really mean slight. As it is a busy road, we often had to wait for that moment when we would hit the pedal to the metal and go for it to merge into traffic. And the tires would spin a few times on the wet pavement. Yes, we tried a few different tires, finally finding some winter tires that worked great. But, eventually my wife got a flat tire; tried to buy a replacement tire, and the tire store refused to sell her a winter tire in the summer. That’s when we decided to sell the car and find something else. (Her new car is a Subaru.) I’ve never seen any review that mentioned this issue. Of course, most reviews show people driving on sunny days. But, I can’t believe we were the only people who found the car was terrible in rain and snow.
I have a 2020 Corolla SE upgrade package. Two Canadian winters, no problems. I replaced the OE Michelin all seasons tires with Altimax 365 R18 All Weather tires. Of course I haven't have the same up-hill experience. Thank you for the comment, good to know.
This has been my problem for the past few days. I moved to a new apartment that has a slope on the only street that goes to the main road. The main road has cars going 55 mph and my tires spin so badly trying to find an opening on this busy street. I don’t know if it’s the brakes or tires that came with the car, but whenever I have to break hard the ABS always kicks in Scaring the life out of me when I feel the pumping
I own a 2004 Camry LE with 57,000 miles. A great car; still solid, no squeaks or rattles, no major competent breakdowns, and still has the original paint. The car lives in a garage protected from the elements! The 4-cylinder engine(178hp) is strong and gets the car up on the freeway with ease. Driving this car until the wheels fall off!
Similar story for me. I have a 2000 Camry LE with over 293k miles on it and it has no problems at all other than the paint being rough in some spots. Runs great and feels great to drive plus the wheels are far from falling off.
Yehey.. Toyota Camry is made where I work. It's their best seller so they make them in both plants. Plant 1 & 2. They also make Toyota RAV-4, Avalon and Lexus.
I have the Corolla and I love it... I have no problem with mines. It's a 2021 ... I like the new camary but I have not driven one. But they both are nice cars and they are ready for the road.
Both: traditional Toyota reliability, value and quality. Corolla: hip, tasteful styling for the swinging single commuter who is frugal,, has occasional guest passengers (and hates the dumpy family/kids/dog vibe of a crosdover/SUV) Camry: super capable sedan that can be fitted to be a value oriented hybrid family sedan to a sporty sedan, with room, comfort and solid performance. (Not every driver wants or needs a Hellcat). Cluttered, busy styling not for everyone though.
For commuting, I'd go for the Camry. For racing, I'd go for the Corolla, especially if it's a S model or hatchback. Either way, you can't go wrong with them.
@@ver151set That much is true. But either way, you still can't go wrong with either one of these. I wouldn't want to race a 4-cylinder car against a V6 or V8.
I usually buy slightly used cars. Usually 2+ years old or older. I had a 2012 Camry but went with the Accord starting withe the 2014 model. I have stayed with the 2014-2017 Accords but in 2018 Accord went turbo and Camry stayed non-turbo and improved the gas milage with the 8-speed automatic. So, I'm in the process of buying a 2020 Camry from CarMax now. I loved the 2012 Camry and have loved the 2014-2016-2017 model Accords I have now owned. The 2020 Camry I'm about to buy is quieter and should get higher MPG that the 2017 Accord I have.
You sir are short selling the Corolla by a lot. It is the number one selling car on the planet for a reason , this is the best Corolla ever made and it looks great as well!
Definitely in love with the corolla but for me I'd rather get the xse model but overall all toyotas or always value for the money especially when it comes to reliability and long-term ownership 👍👍
Camry has a regular automatic. Corolla has a cvt unless you get manual Both have an all-wheel drive option. And a decently sized trunk. You don’t need that suv and you know it. Just get a Camry or Corolla.
I have Corolla SE 2022 sadly used cars were more expensive at the time . But I intend to trade it in once it’s paid off for a older Camry ( assuming used cars prices go back to normal )
I test drove both 2020 camry and 2020 corolla didn't like the camry in traffic so I bought the 2020 corolla and I love it,I think this car is my first choice I went from a 96 toyota corolla dx 1.8 5speed that car was my 2nd choice on all the cars I've had in the past and anyone worried about the cvt transmission don't worry there rock solid if you get the transmission serviced every 60,000 miles the main for upgrade I changed jobs and was tried of bumper to bumper traffic the guy I sold my 96 corolla to loves it
The Corolla and Camry interior spaces are almost identical in size. The rear leg room gains about 3 inches, but that's it. Every other dimension is not significantly different. The Camry has a bigger road presence, which makes it appear much larger than it is.
I will definitely buy a new Camry probably in 2024. Not buying any pandemic era manufactured car 🚗. The chip shortage and labor shortage is not a good thing. Maybe 2025 . Hopefully the economy and the World 🌎🌍 will be stable by then. The main reason I am buying one is because the engine and transmission run forever. Best car you can buy.
The old corolla was only a 1.4 engine, now you tell us the 1.8 is not very quick, I had a 1.8 Avensis and the 1.8 Corolla is much quicker. When overtaking it accelerates very well because it temporarily uses the electric motor to assist the engine
same ole same ole... calling out the Camry for having a "Cheap" interior yet no one in the class offers soft touch materials in the back. Not even the AcCoRd does. btw when was this filmed? seems like an outdated review
I purchased a brand New 2019 Toyota Corolla LE and had it for 3 years and I loved everything about it!!!! I just didn’t trust it during the snow and rain conditions
I have both! But my Camry is a 2018 XSE V6, which I love very much, the corolla is the 2020 grey nigh shade SE model, Since am not looking for “racing car” these two will do just fine, if I want a little speed I have my 2007 Honda Repsol 1000cc edition, I won’t change reliability for a 2.0 turbo charge engine.
@@lilyofthevalley4740 I am sorry that I am answering till now, yes! But both cars are awesome, I like the power of the V6 in the Camry and the soft riding of the Corolla. Although the Camry, being the top of the trim, has more technology and more safety gadgets.
@@alfredonarroyo thanks for replying. I'm glad you love both cars. Soft riding..that sounds good. Maybe I need to look at the SE model as I found the regular model uncomfortable on the seats (not great for the back and neck)..

The difference between Camry and Corolla is night and day. Camry is 100 percent better in every way but the price. You could opt for the Corolla GR or a GR86.

I have a 2007 V6 Camry and thinking of getting the new corolla. If my car was new then I wouldn't be asking but it's getting on in years and not as fast as if when it was new in 2007. I would get the new Camry but it's just too big for my needs. Maybe strap a big turbo on the corolla Lol.
Sedan-wise, the Corolla is sportier looking than the Camry (except for the Camry XSE TRD), and it has always been that way for years. The current Camry looks so dated. Regarding the Camry, Toyota needs to take styling cues from Honda, Hyundai and Kia.
If u switch from a Camry to Corolla or vise versa you’ll be wasting your money lol. These cars are basically the same idk why theres such a rivalry between them. Only real differences is the Camry’s engine is a little more powerful and it’s got more tech shit and the Corollas got better milage.
Americans have totally different standard on what is small and what is light. To me the Camry seem worse in every way excluding the space of the back seats.
In my experience, when it comes to Android CarPlay connection types, I would rather go with the Bluetooth option. This is coming from both 🍏 and Android user.
That I agree with you, I use Bluetooth even though my phone is android. Mine its a 2020 corolla LE and this particular one didn't come with Android auto for that year but it does exist in 21 and 22. Even though I got no android auto.. my android phone still works and depending how one sets up the infotainment system, my android works flawlessly as long as you have toyota app Bluetooth at all times and as for GPS I do use scout gps that came with toyota but for it to make it work or know it will work perfectly, just make sure the scout app is set up on a one touch button on infotainment and normally on there it will tell you right away if it's working or not.
@@dino91001 my last two experiences have been bad 👎. The buying process was smooth, compared to buying from a regular dealership. But the two Camry's i have bought were bad. Nothing but issues with both.

Congrats 👏!! Camry's are tanks!@@jandajanda2242
Just bought the 2022 Camry SE love it
Yehey.. Toyota Camry is made where I work. It's their best seller so they make them in both plants. Plant 1 & 2. They also make Toyota RAV-4, Avalon and Lexus.
I just bought a Camry ! 🙂
Congratulations.
I'm going to save up and buy one
Though I'm only 16 and broke 😓
@@BackBeater good luck kid lmao
@@BackBeateru just kid , stay close to the nanny
I have the Corolla and I love it... I have no problem with mines. It's a 2021 ... I like the new camary but I have not driven one. But they both are nice cars and they are ready for the road.
Both: traditional Toyota reliability, value and quality.
Corolla: hip, tasteful styling for the swinging single commuter who is frugal,, has occasional guest passengers (and hates the dumpy family/kids/dog vibe of a crosdover/SUV)
Camry: super capable sedan that can be fitted to be a value oriented hybrid family sedan to a sporty sedan, with room, comfort and solid performance. (Not every driver wants or needs a Hellcat). Cluttered, busy styling not for everyone though.
Hey don’t knock on the previous gen Corolla because it had some class firsts and it looks really cool
Best comparison.. thank you
Muchas Gracias!!
Muy buen video. Me ha ayudado mucho.
Dios le bendiga abundantemente.
The Corolla is too small….
@@ShamuAquatics They already said that, but for a single driver, it's perfect.
Could someone tell me what are the practical differences between Corolla Sedan and Camry? Is Camry worth the additional $? Why?
That's literally the point of the video. Bot-ass comment
Definitely in love with the corolla but for me I'd rather get the xse model but overall all toyotas or always value for the money especially when it comes to reliability and long-term ownership 👍👍
Camry has a regular automatic.
Corolla has a cvt unless you get manual
Both have an all-wheel drive option.
And a decently sized trunk.
You don’t need that suv and you know it. Just get a Camry or Corolla.
I’m about to buy a 1998 Toyota Corolla color blue, should I buy? Under 125k miles
That's Corolla hatch is so cool I hope we get the GR in the US
I just purchased a 2002 Camry XLE such a great car, V6 very Responsive love the heated seats 🤣
@Felix The Cat no actually I didn't lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I started from a Corolla then as I see it “upgraded” to a Camry. I learned to drive a hybrid with my last Camry XLE Hybrid. Now I’m in a Prius
I have a Corolla story but I wouldn’t mind having a Camry
I had a Corolla story, but now I’ve got a Camry story. Definitely worth every penny, especially the AWD system
Both are brilliant
Corolla consumes less gas and fits (almost) averywhere!
Love them both
I own a 2020 corolla basic model (I think is the S model) 6 speed manual and I couldn't be more happy with my purchase. 👍
Toyota quality for sure!
I love Camry❤️💯
Was it AWD?
I gotta agree majority of ppl have been in a Corolla and Camry!
Is the camry noticeably quieter than the corolla? Like is the road noise less?
@@lilyofthevalley4740 I am sorry that I am answering till now, yes! But both cars are awesome, I like the power of the V6 in the Camry and the soft riding of the Corolla.
Although the Camry, being the top of the trim, has more technology and more safety gadgets.
@@alfredonarroyo thanks for replying.
I'm glad you love both cars. Soft riding..that sounds good. Maybe I need to look at the SE model as I found the regular model uncomfortable on the seats (not great for the back and neck)..
@@lilyofthevalley4740 mine is the SE night shade, and somehow the position of the seat of the corolla is more comfortable than the Camry, specially because the sport tune suspension of the XSE V6, I always drive big trucks before, but I don’t miss them, we’ll when I need to haul something, otherwise am happy with my two cars, the corolla is my work commute and the Camry my pleasure car.
The difference between Camry and Corolla is night and day. Camry is 100 percent better in every way but the price. You could opt for the Corolla GR or a GR86.
Shut up, corolla is the best
7:58 "there's no fast Corolla."

4:44 get into a 1969 Cadillac Fleetwood 75, and tell me about backseat room.
i have a 07 Pontiac G6 Gt v6 absolutely love my car & get like 15/18mpg i put $10 & it’s gone in one day which sucks i know gas prices will get higher not lower i have 2 teenagers Sooo do i get a corolla or camry 😩 just want something sporty and gas saver
I was about to say this video gave me Edmunds vibes
I still enjoy my 1990 Lexus LS400, I dont need a new car any time soon.
The camera is way better than That other silver car because I’m getting it this February and I love you going to get the
This guy said this camry is not that sporty😤 I have one and it keeps up with them bmws
Whoever invented Mazda bmw Audi etc 🖕 whoever invented Toyota I want to take out on a coffee date or something.
I actually kinda like these designs. They look like a few other cars so its not exactly unique. But it looks nice
Understood.
Thank you.
This looks like the SE Camry? Which means the interior might be as good as the xse or xle….
Camry doesn't look like a one night stand between a Kia and a Dodge Dart
Sedan-wise, the Corolla is sportier looking than the Camry (except for the Camry XSE TRD), and it has always been that way for years. The current Camry looks so dated. Regarding the Camry, Toyota needs to take styling cues from Honda, Hyundai and Kia.
Bought a 2020 Toyota Corolla xse and over paid $36,000 brand new it's almost paid off ... drives awesome 👌😎👏
That’s camry xse with red leather interior, panoramic sunroof and bird’s eye view cameras money 🤣
U got scammed, with this price u could buy a land cruiser 2016
The insurance for the Corolla will be far more expensive than the Camry or a brand new F-150. I have a Corolla.
Why?
Why do you say that?
You missed corolla gas mileage numbers. Disappointing.
I love Camry because of the space and safety I don't really care about the dashboard
Are the Corollas comfortable?
The Toyota Camry looks like an absolute giant compared to the Toyota Corolla
If u switch from a Camry to Corolla or vise versa you’ll be wasting your money lol. These cars are basically the same idk why theres such a rivalry between them. Only real differences is the Camry’s engine is a little more powerful and it’s got more tech shit and the Corollas got better milage.
Your video is giving wrong information the le and up is 8”touchscreen the L Corolla is 7” touchscreen
Americans have totally different standard on what is small and what is light. To me the Camry seem worse in every way excluding the space of the back seats.
I really love the new Toyota Corolla they are nice also Camry but I think the Corolla and Camry wins the competition of the kia forte
I love the Camry more than the Corolla
I made the mistake of buying a Corolla hatchback. That thing is tiny
As today date 8/29/21 the 2020 Toyota Corolla cost 3 to 4k more than last year. Anyone agree with me give me a thumb up plz. Thanks
I beat a V6 Dodge Challenger light to light with my 2021 Toyota Corolla with the smaller 4 cylinder engine! TWICE!
I rather go for the Camry space wise
i choose camry over corolla because i want awd.
Same here. The AWD on mine works really good. I recently drove it through some freezing rain and it worked great
I hope the one we get has AWD ... seems the price says no it does not ?
CAMRY IS THE BEST CARS IN THE WORLD
I'd buy another Camry, but not from Carmax , not good cars from there
Really? I’ve heard good things from them
@@dino91001 my last two experiences have been bad 👎. The buying process was smooth, compared to buying from a regular dealership. But the two Camry's i have bought were bad. Nothing but issues with both.
