I have gilding in my craft stash, too that I have not used for about 2 years. This really inspired me to get it out and use it again.

I love my guilding flakes! To get an even better look, try using a stiff stencil brush to remove the excess flakes. It removes those tiny bits much better and kind of shines-up the flakes. Another way to adhere the flakes is using sticky embossing powder. Super fun to use with stamps.

Gilding flakes (I never knew how to use it, either-had it for at least 5 years) & flocking powder, pop up dies. Gilding looks like fun, or at least, you make it look like fun! 😀

Hi Justine, you should use a stiff brush to sweep all of the flakes out of the way after you burnish it. It is a lot easier than using your fingernails to clean out all of those little stars. Cool cards! 😎

This video was so timely. Just what I needed just when I needed it. I went so far as to open my chocolate gold gilding flakes, then closed it. It does expand to overflow the jar and it is beautiful. All your cards are beautiful and I love the hugs cards. I didn't realize both parts could be used. All in all a great video with tons of options. Thank you Justine. ❤️🇨🇦❤️

I love gilding flakes. It's fun to send through embossing folder. You can also age the look with ink rubbed on raised areas.
Your overly generous layering of flakes was shocking. Knowing how they float on air, my heart was racing when you took out so many at a time. 🤣😂🤣

Best to use a scoochie sponge or a stencil brush to remove the excess flakes. Scoochie sponges are sold by Indigo Blu amongst other companies.

Justine I think that the reason I enjoy the Resource Binder Classes is that I am forced to use things that have been sitting around or to use new things that I probably wouldn't have used. Also started using Cricut after a 3 year hiatus thanks to your video. Glad I did. You get right to the point which I appreciate. You do a great job.

I bought a Zutter Bind It All a few years ago in hopes of making memory books and calendars. I have never even tested it out! I have a Your Story laminator/binder from Provo Craft and I haven't done any heat binding, and it has a safety shut off - so it isn't great for foiling. I have watercolors that are neglected, pastels I only use to replenish chalk stamp pads, and a spare die cutting machine (I also have a Gemini and my Cuttlebug I started with). I have already purged all the paper trimmers I fell out of love with and lots of embellishments I never use. There are likely more items I could name but I ain't talkin'!

It is crazy that you posted this. I JUST pulled out my gilding flakes the other day. I have had them since they 1st came out and NEVER touched them!!! They just get EVERYWHERE and I personally think its worse than glitter. Hahaha.
I love the look but they are just not my thing. I ended up putting mine back in the drawer after several tries. 🤷

amy29048 I completely agree! I use the sheets to make it less messy.

Just a few pieces. These jars will last me years I know that so I’m ok with getting rid of a few pieces

This looks like the same stuff they stick a bunch of little pieces in little liquid filled round bottles sold for $10 at gift shops like in gold mining areas ...I bought one but now I realize there is probably less than 50 cents of gold in it lol ...even at today's sky high gold price ...LOOKS like there is really something in it but ....nope

Try using a stencil brush rather than your fingers
