Marvin is one of the guys who I think would have benefited if the sport stayed two strokes. All that technique and makes few mistakes. He'd have been even better imo.

@@shanemoto97 Steve Lamson won the Desnations on a 125cc Against best riders of the world on a full field of 500cc, Jeff Emig did the same at Lorettas last year and Keith Johnson was there, JS 7 on a 125 against Chad Reed on a 250cc, Pastrana and you will see that every weekend on a local track, Lot of guys struggling on 450s because they can’t handle a 85cc, Usable power is the key, Musquin is Musquin anywhere.

Same happened when motocross started, They started using 4 strokes and they changed because 2 strokes were lighter, More than 40 year pass to bring 4 strokes with a lot of technology, 2 strokes keep been lighter, You just need to see this every weekend on any local track, Usable power is the key.

No man thats a KTM thing. I have noticed they buck left and right and have really unstable chassis compared to, say, Yamaha. They're the least stable bikes on the market, and I personally hate it.
You guys must not have been riding in the ‘80s and ‘90s if you think you saw headshake in that video. I haven’t experienced headshake on a KTM since my ‘06. They do deflect off bumps more because of the reduced weight vs other bikes, but if you’re getting headshake your shock presag is incorrect.
@@kylegreen378 nothing to do with that , just a crap air fork - fit decent forks like your Yams KYB or decent set up Cone Valve and no issue with frame
So all the 2 stroke needs is higher compression to pull like a tractor and less shifting gears, and u have a much more reliable, easy to maintain race engine
@@Corteum not at that weight you wouldn't. New 450s are barely over 60 and even that is too much for 99% of riders. Many pros don't even ask for more power.
@@abracing199 Some of the pro 450's ive read are over 65hp at the crank. Plus the 450 has a much broader torque range, better responsiveness, quicker acceleration, easier to ride. To compensate for that advantage, 350 2-stroke w/ 65hp at the crank... its only advantage is that it's slightly lighter overall.
I own a 20 250SX and I love it, I was debating on trading up for the 23 with E start and EFI, however after watching this video and how crappy Marv looked on it.. it’s a hard pass.. seems way slower and way more chop in the suspension. Hopefully they figure it out.. I like the concept. #readytogetsmoked

That 250 is a blast! But what we really need is KTM 350 2t! Then modify the rulings to allow 350 2t to compete in the 450 division ;P
KTM has a 300SX for 2023! Stay tuned for tests in August
The 300sx is making 59 horsepower with the new efi engine. You don't need more than that on a 220lb bike.
