The nerves will go down based on the amount of preparation you’ve done. When you add that to the fact that everyone else in the waiting room is as nervous or more nervous than you are, along with the knowledge that you are probably way more prepared than anyone there, the nerves will diminish to a great extent. That’s where the arrogance comes in that I talked about, knowing that it’s probably yours to lose, because of the extent of your preparation. Also knowing that even if you don’t get the job, the casting director will remember you for other projects because of your professionalism. It’s a win-win for you no matter what.
