I don’t understand about your life and career not going well? You have a successful YT channel and you’re a qualified nurse. To truly focus on the latter might have meant not having the YT success. You were talking about an MBA. It sounds as if things on the nursing side are in flux. Is it definitely what you want and/or perhaps you haven’t found your nursing niche to focus on and grow in. You’re engaged, in Japan, a homeowner and you’re in a good position financially. You have family and friends. Count your blessings!
Hi Miki, I hope you and Kevin had a nice time in Japan 😄 When you draw a bad fortune, you have the option to tie it to the designated places (usually by a pine/matsu tree) so that the bad luck doesn't come home with you🌲 But generally, these fortunes are just reminders to continue being mindful and be a good person 😊
Hahahaha yes I tied both the bad ones 🤣💓
4:41 I wished you two spoke more and expanded on how cool it is to be surrounded by people who look like you. When I went to Japan I felt a great sense of relief and comfort. It was like finally; I feel normal. I'm always having to relate to people who don't look like me or act like me. I'm never seen in billboards, commercials, tv shows, movies, or even at work. I never realized how exhausting and how out of place I felt until I went to Japan. I almost started crying because finally, finally I felt normal. I felt represented. Asian guys plastered all over the billboards and on the screen. People walking around in the streets who looked like me and acted like me. I no longer felt out of place. I felt so seen and that feeling made me feel so happy. I'm already planning my next trip to Japan and can't wait to be surrounded by people who look like me :)
Love this comment, I felt the same on my recent trip to Japan. I was born in Asia but my family immigrated to the US when I was a teenager. I am almost thinking now that I'm 27 if I want to relocate back to Asia. I've loved my time in America, and almost feel a sense of guiltiness after all my parents sacrificed, but I cry so much whenever I have to go back to US from my Asia trips. Its like I feel happiest, safest and there is a level of comfort I feel that I don't feel in US :( I'm torn between staying in US or going back to Asia especially in recent years with hate crimes on the rise and never feeling safe here, ahhh its hard!! But I agree, feels so represented seeing people who look like us, there is so much comfort in that
It is such a surreal experience. I remember visiting my ancestral country in Asia and not feeling so aware of my presence. Towards the end of my stay, I even felt surprised seeing a white tourist because I had gotten so used to my people 😂
@@sabiwapan3296 I’m glad to hear how great of a time you have in Asia! Your parents sacrificed a lot to give you a better life and for you to be happy, and if moving back there makes you happy then you should do it :)
@@p1aid i know what you mean! It feels good not being the odd one out haha

Welcome to Japan !! I enjoy your contents as well as leaning English through your videos.
Suica on the Apple wallet is such a lifesaver. FYI, tapping at the gate works with a locked phone. So you don’t have to open your Apple wallet.
Yesss to Japan vlogs!!!❤

Hi Miki! Where did you buy your jacket? :)
Aritzia! It’s the shorty superpuff
Don't worry, Nobody cares what clothes you are wearing. 😊
Especially during travel, you don't bring hundreds of jackets to change.
So don't worry. You are looking good.
