    The yellow lines are a kind of like a form of street braille for the blind and/or those with diminished eye sight!

    The yellow lines are from your shutter speed in the camera; it's called banding. Keep your shutter speed at 1/50 or 1/60 to get rid of it + it gives you a more cinematic look! It will also get rid of flickering lights in actions cams and phones etc...

      thank you!! honestly 2-3 days Kyoto, 1-2 days Osaka, & 5-6 days in Tokyo feels enough for your first time

    Do you guys speak Japanese? how hard is it to deal with the language barrier if not?

      @@DraZtheProbleM none of us spoke Japanese! wasn’t an issue for us; we used Google translate when we needed to communicate w/ locals. also downloaded this common phrase book which helped me speak a little: www.scribd.com/document/712349978/Boutique-Japan-Tiny-Phrasebook

    You really experienced quite a lot in your short time there. After visiting Nihon so many times, I recently decided to spend an entire month with CX Kyoto as my base… it was unreal to just take leisurely walks and revisit some temples 3-4 times to photograph different angles. Hope you are able to go back often. Incredible job on your editing. 🤩

    Great video. I can’t wait to visit. I’m torturing myself watching endless travel vlogs, knowing I won’t be there for another year 🥹. But on a positive note, it gives me plenty of time to save up

    Hi..been to JPN several times and the last time was Nov 2019..first time to hear that custom made Japnese ring..may I know where..ans how much thank you

      the shop was called Gram! took around 30 min to make from scratch - prices depend on the material of the ring

    I have a question if I had 10-14 days first time in Japan would you recommend to add another destination to those 3 places or maybe spend additional day in each place ? Realistically how many days do we need to experience Tokyo well

      there's so much to do in each city! 2 weeks is a great length to really get to explore Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka (i personally wished I had more time in Tokyo & Kyoto)

    Hi Max, im planning to spend my Christmas and New year in Japan this year (2024). i heard there are snow going on? i've never seen some in your video. i have the same itinerary will stay Tokyo for a night then go straight to Kyoto and Osaka and will go back to Tokyo. I'll be spending 11 days. any tips?

      @@mlbb011594 hi mark! so excited for you and your upcoming trip. last year i personally did not see much snow in any of the cities during my trip. would highly recommend spending more time in Kyoto, the calmness and culture was so nice. please update me on how your trip goes!

    Awesome video Max! I'm going possibly in April / May, how many days do you recommend to stay in Tokyo? I'm wanting to explore Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara as well.

      that’s so exciting! 6-7 days in Tokyo, 2-3 days in Kyoto, and 1-2 days in Osaka is good to see all the major sights for a first time trip!

      @@elated_h depends on the type of experiences you're looking to get (definitely ways to do it budget friendly & also going all out). biggest costs were the flight + hotels (as expected)

    The yellow bumpy lines show where to safely walk. When you feel the “bumps” under foot you should be aware of something like a driveway,etc.

      7 day JR pass (unlimited uses) was ~$240 USD. it's worth it if you're visiting multiple cities in Japan (Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, etc.)
