@VivaFrei, I homeschooled my daughter. She is 31 now so I don't even know if her courses are still available. But I used Alpha Omega homeschooling programs. It's a Christian based learning program. It is great. She graduated when she was almost 17. She was behind in public school. We ordered all kinds of science extras (microscopes, butterfly gardens, experiments, etc). We got a science fair experiment book and did most of them. We would make her do oral presentations to the family early on. The family support and everyone pitching in made her success possible. I had a friend who was an engineer teach her things. I had sisters who were an electrician, a nurse, and one who was an avid gardener. They all pitched in. My mom taught her canning, baking, and sewing. My dad taught her about airplanes and small animal farming. Her dad taught her about how they pave roads, hunting, and fishing. This was all on top of her normal school work. She is a well-rounded individual at 31. I hope this helps! Good luck with your adventures!
Marion, This is awesome!! You are changing Ethans life forever by rescuing him from pigeon holing not only his education but his anility to learn the most he can possibly gain. I bet a new book might be in your future with this new adventure. What you can offer the home school community is incredible!!
OMG .. what a wonderful Video. Thank you Marion and Ethan ! It spoke to me on many levels, because I am a trained and self taught classical artist. I also have degrees in Commercial Graphic Design, Interior Design and own a Marketing Co. I incorporated in the early 80's. I raised my 2 children on a 1/4 section in Northern B.C. I planted a large garden (3000) sq. ft., and along with my children was able to experience nature in all her glory. The wild animals that we lived with were abundant. Far too lengthy an education to express in a short post, but suffice it to say that food, flora fauna came together to leave their indelible imprint on my heart & soul forever. As it happens, my grown Daughter is the purchaser of literature here for our local College. I'm going to share this Video with her as I know she will enjoy it as much as I did. While you didn't name the Librarian who gave you the tour, please Thank her for me when you see her next. She was truly a wonderful expression of what I know it means to be a wholesome and heartfelt educator. Bravo & Happy learning ! 😊😇🐊🦋🌿🍎
Marion, I loved everything about this. Glad you have this wonderful resource & that Ethan got to pick books. You all are on the best adventure of your life.❤🙏🏻
Marion, thank you! I hadn’t heard about these libraries. I’m 80 and have lived through books all my life. I grew up reading The Books of Knowledge. (encyclopedia)
Michelle Howard has a series of videos on you tube that explain various aspects of living books and living books libraries. I am blessed to be one of a large group of living books lending librarians. So glad you found Michelle. And I am a big fan of your husband!
Exactly why I #GoBerean and Read Scripture for myself using eSword for 'older' versions NOT Copyrighted for $ - Sales! I discovered a beautiful wedding story in 2 parts. Game Changer when you're in Love w/the Love of your life! Thank you for explaining what happened to me!
Saving and Protecting the Classic Literature! Phenomenal! This allowed Marion to geek out on how to learn and teach!

As Joel Salatin is to farming, this lady is to books!
I loved reading books in the 90s and they definitely haven't been as good for awhile now
