Im in the market for a new sight and cant figure out to go with the Double stack pin fast eddie or the 3 stack? Any advice? If im going verticle double should I just spring for the 3rd pin?
Both are going to be great sights. The benefit of the triple stack is you can set the pin gaps on the three pins, which will correspond to your sight tapes. You can also have different pin sizes on the same sight. Example .019 for the top 2 pins and .010 for the bottom, where as the double pin is either both .019 or .010. The only down fall with the triple stack that we found is the very bottom pin can be a challenge if you set the pin too low in the housing. The double pin has always been great but you cannot set the bottom pin to a set yardage. It will be set according to your bows overall speed. It could very from 10 yards to 15 depending on the speed you're getting. It's hard to say what is the best option to go with. If you're looking to have a single pin with a security pin go with the Double Pin, but if you're wanting complete coverage and a lot of options go with the Triple. Hope this helps

Yea I like the thought of the overall adjustability if the 3 pin but this will be my first verticals pin sight and I’m just leaving top ward the double to simplify it. I’m not a fan of total single pin so I’m hoping this is a good mixture that still gives me confidence in hunting situations which is what I’m heard for. I shoot some 3D but I’m not too target heavy. However, I’m switching to improve my target acquisition and field of view in my mind.
Very important question here. So I am confused, I want to purchase this sight but there’s something I can’t understand and I haven’t seen anybody explain it yet. Once you set those pins and the pointers to let’s say 20 30 40. When you want to slide out and shoot let’s say 82 yards which pin is your floater?! Bc that kind gap will not be the same once you do any sliding. Your arrow will fall much more between 70 and 80 opposed to 20 and 30 so I don’t see how you could slide it and all three pointers still be accurate. And guys say oh well you just shoot the bottom pin for the floater or whatever pin for your floater how do you know which pin should be your floater or which pin is accurate when being slid Bc like I said that gap won’t correlate at longer distances so how do you know which pin to use as floater I hope someone understands what I’m trying to say and would care to explain to me I’d sure appreciate it.
Trevor is correct. The Triple Stack allows you to shoot any of the pins at 80 yards. Just dial up the yardage for the pin you want to shoot. The sight tape hash marks get farther apart the longer the distance is, based on the ballistics of your arrow setup.

They all float. Your pin gap is the same as your indicator gap, always. The sight tape takes care of the increase in drop at distance.
