With respect as a fellow veteran, the whole adventure thing is bull. Tell them what would happen if you went outside dressed like that or a neighbor saw you. The same people that told you how proud they were of you would have your freedom taken away because you make them nervous. They will continually detain you abusing state “red flag” laws until you leave the state. The veteran communities speaks for itself you see all the videos of veterans calling out others for stolen valor or shaming them because they asked for help. I’m proud of my service to this nation, I’ve done more than most people will do their entire life in a matter of four years, but I lost EVERYTHING. But I’d do it all over again 😂 Semper Fi
Also “was a Marine” WTF
I think i may still be full of whimsy and zeel my brotha. I understand what you're saying for sure
@@MyrmidonPress I’m glad you’re hanging in there bud, seems like you got some brothers by your side as well. Keep trucking and good luck on your future endeavors.
MCRD San Diego was the safest place i had been to in my life up to that point in early 2000. The military is a better place to be than 90% of narcissistic, abusive families. I cherish my time that i had in my twenties actually doing things instead of owing some college to be in a racketeering scheme.
I appreciate that. There are many young folks in that group with troubled homes that need those words
"Military men are just dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns in foreign policy." Henry A. Kissinger
Thank you for your service! I’ve learned a lot from your videos. Any chance you can make an EDC video? And maybe a backpack video?
I plan on updating what I may have. Check the Instagram for hours of stuff. myrmidon_press
Serving ZOG isn't honorable.
Thank God we live in America!
Military service is good, but not today under the neocons and the ruling elite of today. Read Smeadley Butler's book he was on the money about how the military is often used and what the wars are usually about. My time in the Marines is the proudest thing I have ever done but I was somewhat blinded by my dreams of glory and honor.
I feel that. Some of these kids got hope though. I don't think we should dash dreams, just manage reality and expectations
Ever hear of John Bolton?
How’s George W Bush and his boyfriend Obama doing lately?
Amen son
Im thinking of joining the marines but im 27 and I feel i romanticize the idea. Im just scared of being trapped in a bad deal with immature guys giving me hell.
Nobody likes being the new guy. But in my experience the older guys were pushed towards lower leadership faster due to their age. I was 21 when I got to my unit which made me "pops". There are so many before you that have made the trip. First id say go officer if you're older and have a degree. Second, get your fitness in order it will make the transition much easier and you'll thank yourself when your 30th birthday comes around.
Had a few mid to late 20 year olds in my platoon at boot camp. Went to MOS school with a couple more, plus a guy who was 35.
Take it to Kinko's and get it spiral bound. You're welcome.
I need to so bad it's a good book I need another copy. Mine is covered in notes
@@MyrmidonPressI did that about 15 years ago. Much easier to keep it open. lol
youtube algorithm works in mysterious ways. Dont have a vet that loves me to ask any of this but do have vet guys I know, have asked about service and they all said to do it. Happy I saw this video and thank you for uploading it. I am thinking of joining UK military to become a combat medic, if thats any relevance.
It is. Like I said find somebody who loves you and won't BS anything. If you are called it will become clear after some kind words
Hell yeah!
Hell yeah!
You know bro, I'm a former US Paratrooper/medic from the mid and late 90s. I'm proud of my service. I used to think what we did was for freedom, I'm not so sure that is true anymore. Would I support any youngin going into the service? Yes. Would I talk them into it? No. I believe, serving this blood sucking leach government and bloated politician to get rich over their blood and sacrifice for their continued riches is nasty and immoral. I miss being a medic for grunts. It molded me into what I do now (paramedic for 25 years), I don't miss the Army fuck fuck games, I miss the dudes.
I miss the boys too man. I think it's important we don't lie to the new kids about what it was like. They need to know what can grow from all the BS. Thank you for your service
@MyrmidonPress and thank you for yours brother. Merry Christmas
Nice!
a ushanka or trapper hat with a face mask is what i use and its very warm. very much recommended
I wouldn't mind a good M65 jacket . Id probably want an OD version as I had one as a teenager.
M55s are still around i have one and it's tough as nails
Embrace the suck
Somebody had to say it
Ex British Squadie here. Once you get your yoke fitting perfect, use your black electrical tape to stop your yoke slacking, otherwise you'll notice slowly pulling through over distances/time.
Hell yeah ill definitely do that. This kit is one of my favorites
you only need 160f to kill the bugs by the time it boils it is done, there some cysts that have a tough shell that takes a bit longer, not usually found in wilderness locations.
Most profound statement on the internet today at 7:00 "No one like eating stuff they don't like."
FEMA is a complete joke. I think you better put away all the supplies that you can right now. Prep for hard times because you never know what will happen.
Love this shit. Keep making videos. Get into the weeds about it.
Check out David Canterbury
Great vid
To me the classic Coleman stove is the white gas/naptha with the pump on the front. I have one like you mention and 2 naptha stoves but I also have butane stoves, twig stoves, a mini tent woodstove and a full woodstove for group cooking as well as woks and smokers and small grills. My prize is my Dutch oven.
Nice variety for sure
Why are you smoking a cigar while demoing Switchback. It’s very distracting.
I'll see this live, hopefully tomorrow night brother!
Hell yeah you're singing my song thanks for the shout out oohrah
I agree. nothing should be centrally located because of emergencies. I too helped clear roads and driveways. I kept everything charged with solar because we were without power for 9 days late that afternoon we got power. It was a relief to have it again. My generator didn't make the 9 days, because I wasn't prepared to run it that long yet. (Now I am ready for longer). My solar plan held up very well. I didn't run out of food or other wants. I had water. I didn't need to carry a rifle. I am armed CWP every day. I do something every day. Stagnancy kills the life in a mudpuddle.
Glad you're still with us
16 years of preparedness minded living here🙋🏼♂️ Yesssir went through all the phases: silver bug, buying guns, filling 5 gallon buckets (repurposed from my local donut shop) Even spent 6 years producing truth media on some noteworthy platforms. If there’s one piece of advice that I’ve come to believe applies to everyone it’s this: 86 the “prepper” nomenclature. Preppers oftentimes are suburbanites with minimal skills who have garages stacked to the rafters with plastic crates of-well, of pretty much everything. But they have only a vague idea of “bugging out” They know not where. Or with who. Or when. They most likely drive cars that are boat anchors if EMP/CME should strike. They own no paper maps and cannot navigate with a compass. The key is in my first sentence. PREPAREDNESS MINDED LIVING. It’s pursuing spiritual fitness. Physical fitness. Frugality while yet being generous to those in need. It’s eschewing the traps of “post modern” society. “Use it up, wear it out, make due or do without” as they said through WW2. It’s realizing that thoroughly scrubbed grocery jars with clean lids are perfect for dry storage. It’s realizing that “sure P-Touch labels look great, but at $18 per cartridge perhaps it’s better to use tape and a Sharpie while parlaying the savings into squirreling away another 10 pounds of sugar. Or 20 of salt.” It’s always being situationally aware and ready to defend life while simultaneously beseeching God for humility and love of fellow man. It’s gardening but being aware and strong enough to face the fact that a small backyard garden will neither feed a family of four nor is it able to be secured while everyone sleeps. It’s doing all that a man can to not be unequally yoked with a vexatious woman who is clueless what “partnership” means. It’s choosing work that actually produces something. Not merely bumping a cursor around on a light box. It’s nose-to-toes. Once a man learns these things he begins to walk the path of the warrior poet. The stoic who knows God is God of all. I pray the Lord chooses mercy on this nation in 4 days from today. If His will is the other direction my thoughts shared here this evening will likely become more immediate and profound. Our republic cannot continue on cruise control. It was never designed to. Best wishes and God bless those who read this.
4:12 I generally use three cinder blocks with my titanium gear too. 😁
It was fitting given my home is basically under construction. The tea was amazing
Everyone has a plan until life gets in their way. If you want to learn real SHTF preparedness listen to the ones who lived through real adversity. A lot of old wisdom is gone forever. God gave us all 2 eyes and 2 ears but only 1 mouth for a reason.
Couldnt be said any better
Keep going we are all learning and working
"Find out what's killing you and kick it's ass" Well said. Subscribed.
Watch my Whats Killing You video! Thanks warrior!
Good heart fire lessons. Thanks for caring and sharing, glad you made it through
Thanks warrior
Your rifle and gear are your sword and armor against evil. Use this time to tune and perfect them, you never know when you won’t have time.
They’re not doing us much good locked up in safes while the country swirls down the bowl. I’m not trying to black pill your comment. I agree with you 100%. But it’s time Americans recognize that it’s not 1984 we need to worry about. That’s already here. It’s Brave New World that’s ending a once free people
Well, I had no idea you had all this going on. I was just tuning in to check out that titanium wood stove. I'm a bit of a titanium fetishist. That being said, I'm right freaking there on the realities of preparedness and prepping. You ain't kidding about getting those reps in as a team.
Lixada makes a good stove. My next titanium buy is a canteen set. Keep fighting the good fight.
Back to Basics, fear and stress makes people easier to control, if you are prepared when the lights go out, you don't have to be afraid.
Preach!
You handled business. Well done.
Seeing other people take action was amazing too
Its a great bit of kit. I was just reorganizing mine today. I like it better than alot of the U.S. equipment I have from my Us Navy days.
I love how it's all sewn together and tight
Glad to here you and family is ok! God Bless🙏🏻 I don’t know you but subbing!
I'm glad yall are OK. I hear that generator, at least someone was ready for preparedness .
Glad you're alive and well!
Climate change is real
You're a sqeezebag!
And thanks for the shoutout bro!
Anytime dude you're the bomb
I need a bolt gun
I never really did much distance shooting with this level of precision. It's been really fun and I've found several skills to work on in the mean time
Can this jacket & liner still be found? The surplus stores in my area, Cleveland Ohio, shut down 20 years ago. I just got into camping and found out about info like this. I refuse to pay hundreds of dollars for a equipment just because it is 5 oz lighter. I want good equipment that will last, and of course at a reasonable price. Please help.
Absolutely! The price goes up every year but you can find them. If you're an odd size like Sm Reg or Lrg Tall you will find it easier. Do a quick ebay search after you fo some research on what you need.
There are signal mirrors, and Signal Mirrors. Some are blurry basic cheap for as described ,signalling. Others, are stainless steel, a soft cloth, brasso, you can shave with it. Its origonal intent. THAT is the better one. Because it serves 3 purposes. 1.Signal 2. Shave 3. First Aid so you can see that facial injury, so keep it with your boo boo kit. With a a razor if your able to stich yourself up. Or like me, just in case you stay overnight and some well meaning family member reports you as lost. Its nice ti be shaved and nah dude im fine i didnt and dont need rescuing. I'll walk out thanks 😅
You cant disappoint the news cameras, that is for sure.
Now I'm really thirsty I'm thinking beer
Same pops
Now you're both making me thirsty
I don't have an active shooter bag. I have a get home bag for us. I have plenty of trauma gear, I'm a former Army medic, turned civilian paramedic for past 25 years. I do have a non descript medium sling bag that I'll wear in a public venue, stores, movies, that stuff. It has lots of trauma stuff, 2 glock mags plus what I have on me, a head light and multi tool. Thats it. That and my EDC.
It makes you think you lead such a boring life knowing that somebody has a bergen full of toys and gets to use it all the time. Some folks can't be realistic at all. They get too far into the what if game, and it makes it real for them. Great comment!
I joined Army in 93, issued a few. When I was a reservist line medic, we had em. When I went active duty in 95, got to Bragg, was issued the gortex but as a line doc, we barely wore em.
